I am with you on this 100%. Same exact scenario for me. I don't understand how an insurance company can do this ESPECIALLY when there is no freaking cost difference.

Was on suboxone for 3 years,,2 / mg strips a day,I did great I was a longtime user of coke, tabs, list goes in and on,,started using when I was 12,I am 39 now,,the Dr changed me to 2 zubsolve a day been in them a month now, they don't last as long ,I had mild withdraw at first, still have no energy ,cravings are out of site, but they pass I would prefer to be back on suboxone ,it just seemed to work better for me,I am taking more of the zub than I should be daily,I can't decide if I should give it more time or try and switch back to subs, and I think I have had every side effect listed with the zubsolv, lol, there was alot of days when I was on the suboxone I would take a strip and a half all day and be good so it's feels like I've took a step back because I am taking more of the zubsolv,I would rather have 1 suboxone a day than 3 zubsolv a day,but I think it's different for everyone my friend takes the zubs and lives them

I'm telling you right now that the same thing happened to me! I've switched back and it's taken a full month but I do feel much better. I got so depressed on the Zubs or like you said, no energy. It was horrible.

Agree 100%. H is more popular, stronger and cheaper than anything legal on the market and my board certified internist can't write me a prescription for pain meds. I need to taper off and personally I HATE suboxone, but try to get hydro or oxycodone. It's a nightmare. Pain doc gave me 45 to "taper" me off what was 20 a DAY. How's that going to happen in 2 weeks?? WITHDRAWAL.

If you actually read the packaging, you would see that it is using the suboxone tablets, not suboxone film as its quicker bioavailability claim. This is directly off of the Zubsolv box:

"Because of its advanced formulation, more of the medication in ZUBSOLV tablets gets into the bloodstream than with Suboxone TABLETS (not film.) This means a lower dose of ZUBSOLV is similar to a higher dose of Suboxone TABLETS."

So when you try to tell people it's all in their head, if they were formerly on films as opposed to tablets, the bioavailability (according to ZUBSOLV) themselves is the same. Meaning that it takes the same time for ZUBSOLV table to dissolve as a Suboxone Film (not tablet,) meaning that if your on 8mg of suboxone film, you are not getting the same dosage!

It is definatly worth a try but I do recommend you go on them for a month before you make your decision, I've alsobeen a addict since iI was 17 now I'm 33 and been on sub for two years, the best two years of my life and I had a2000 dollar every two week habit and that was with insurance when I switched

The ones of you that say you love it give it couple days. I thought it was great. Was switched from 24 mg...3 strips a day to three zubsolv a day. First three days i felt fine and loved the way the pill disolved...well, must have just took three days of my body being striped from the film....because the last two I have not only been sick, I have also been experiencing cravings..and mind you I have not had any for the last year of being on the strips..so wait couple of days, and come back and report how you feel then...I hope it still works for yall but it sure dont for me!!

Sorry for the confusion. I am on disability and I am currently trying to figure out what plans I should choose as I am being offered Medicare. I am not sure if these plans they offer. Plan A, B, C and D. One should be for prescriptions. My main question was that people on Medicare, do they get a decent break on the cost of OxyContin?

Thank you...best advice I have heard...just wondering though , how does smoking or drinking effect it ? I pass medication for a living and I was taught that sublingual does not metabolize in the stomach, so this is kind of confusing for me

I was wondering if anyone with uhc that was prescribed 3-8mg suboxone a day has won an appeal to get 3 zubsolv per day. I was recently switched due to ins., and with them only covering 60/mo, after 3yrs of being sober and going through hell with an accident at work and fighting ptsd, I'm scared to death that they won't cover the other 30 that there's no way I can afford to pay for!

Ruth: I don't understand why you are asking a question about Oxy on this thread. This thread is for the people who are taking Suboxone for pain relief or rehab from the use of opiate dependency in their past. If you have a question in regards to the new Zubsolv, which has replaced Suboxone for most of us, due to insurance issues, then I'm sure someone can answer your question. Thanks

The reason you don't drink coffee or soda is because the medication is designed to absorb better under your tongue at a certain PH level. It's best to keep oils from vaping, coffee and anything that could change the PH levels in your mouth.

Been on sub films for 3 years. They worked for me and now my insurance won't cover them, will only cover zubsolv so I got my doc to switch me since it will be cheaper. It def tastes better but I don't think it works as well. Only been a week, maybe it's in my head but as of now I'd say stick with sub films if you have the choice. I would if I could afford the $700 script of suboxone instead of zubsolv. Having said that it does keep me from having withdrawals which is the goal so who am I to complain its much better than what I was doing.

I have made the switch without problems. In fact, my headaches have decreased with the Zubsolv, and tastes a lot better. I bet you, if more people keep an open mind to this, and make sure they are getting the correct dosage, because there is a difference, the makers of Suboxone will in fact drop their price or go out of business. This is a good example how these companies are the only ones making out here in the US. If there is a standard, where everyone is equal when it comes to meds, we would have a much better healthcare system. Be mad at ObamaCare for now, but watch how these companies will fold into something more streamline. Of course, with people that are taking these type drugs, they consider it a luxury drug. Why should others have to pay for your addiction problems? So right there, it's important to speak out against these high priced companies, like Suboxone.
