I know it's a generic xanax, i can tell, but the pill has one g 249 on it... not the gg249. Is it still a 2 mg pill? ## That is interesting. Im looking for a Dr. or psychiatrist that will prescribe me xanax. My Dr. recently retired and I've been getting 120 2mg bars every month for years and als. I've been on methadone the last 3 years at 140 mgs. Im from the Detroit, Michigan Downriver area. ## 120 Bars a month, nobody should have that? We can't tell you who takes what insurance. Is it illegal to take a lesser amount of the dose prescribed? I’m takin an 1/8 of a 2mg Xanax instead of a 1/2 of the pill which my dr prescribed? i was in the hospital friday and saturday. when i got out and opened my drawer my pills were gone. what should i do? ## Did you report it to the police? If not, then you probably won't have much luck getting them replaced. Just telling your pharmacy, or doctor that it happened, without any police report, or anything to back it up isn't like to merit any assistance. If it is just time for your regular refill, then it shouldn't be a problem, because you don't actually need to bottle to get the next refill from your pharmacy. I was prescribed Xanax 2mg bars again for extreme anxiety! I have withdrawan from xanax twice in a matter of 2 years. I can't take them anymore! They are making me sick. Can anyone tell me why? I have terrible anxiety and panic attacks. this has been going on since i was 8 years old. I have been on variouse meds, almost all benzodiazapines and i find that xanax works best for me. ## Any licensed Medical doctor can prescribe Xanax. There are some States that do not allow the M.D to prescribe this medication and will refer you to a Psychiatrist. I'm congested and taking Prednisone + Cheratussin, but can't sleep. Can I take my Xanax? ## Hi Reba, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are interactions listed between Xanax and Cheratussin AC (I don't know if there are different types of Cheratussin). However, if you do have the one containing codeine, they go on to note that taking a benzodiazepine with an opioid can cause problems with your breathing as well as other related side effects. If you are already prescribed both medications your doctor may suggest changing the timing and/or frequency of dosing in order to lessen the risk of such symptoms. I hope this info helps!

Okay, I am a former benzo abuser, mainly xanax. Many of the information on here is incorrect. Yes, benzos can be dected in the system for up to a month, but this is only true if you use it everyday and typically abuse it. However, if you take a benzos very rarely then it can only be detected for 2 to 3 days. Your metabolism and body fat play a big factor. If you are in good shape and exercise pretty regularly then the drug will exit your system quicker. If you have a higher body fat and lower metabolism then it can stay in a bit longer. I went to rehab for xanax and it was still in my system for over 3 weeks. I quit using xanax for months, but I had a close friend pass away and I became very anxious and depressed. I have a dark gray rectangular pill labeled Xanax 2, anyone seen these before??? I know a women who takes Xanax 1mg 3x/day routinely. She also breastfeeds her child 2-3x/day. Is this ok?
