How Do I Get My Xanax Refill If It Was Stolen
Updatedi was in the hospital friday and saturday. when i got out and opened my drawer my pills were gone. what should i do?
Did you report it to the police?
If not, then you probably won't have much luck getting them replaced. Just telling your pharmacy, or doctor that it happened, without any police report, or anything to back it up isn't like to merit any assistance.

If it is just time for your regular refill, then it shouldn't be a problem, because you don't actually need to bottle to get the next refill from your pharmacy.
Are there any other questions or comments?
I just amost had my car stolen and they tried to get my keys and they stole my RX of alprazolam. Whats do i have to do? I have already reported to to the polce and what is my next step.
Tell your physician your xanax bottle was in the pants pocket of your jeans or slacks when it went through the washing machine. Your family member did it!
You've got to find other answers. Drugs are not the answer. I know because I was also addicted to Xanax. This simply isn't the way to find inner peace.
Just because you don't have have a serious mental condition doesn't mean you have the right to be calling people addicts.
I just had my GI Doctor tell me how wonderful Xanax is. I took a minute to set him straight. Recently I had to seek storage off site for my alprazolam. I had too many, they can't be replaced, and although my goal is to stop them someday, they have a very strong hold on me!
Damn right, some of us have a serious diagnosis due to childhood, seizures, etc. Don't judge us when you haven't a clue what you are talking about. You were probably fed with a silver spoon all your life- how's that for judgement. You really have nothing better to do then to criticize us....maybe that is your addiction.....do you feel better now????
Dependance is entirely different from being an addict. Addicts do not NEED the medication. Others, like myself, who have PTSD, panic and anxiety disorders are DEPENDENT. Please, don't comment on things you know nothing about. I have never had cancer. I don't know the horrific side effects of chemotherapy; therefore, I will not suggest that I know what I am talking about.
I've been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.... been raped twice, abused both physically Mentally and emotionally. Before you call someone an an addict,,,, maybe you should be aware of the entire story! And also I've been in 2 major car accidents. Once I was dead on arrival. Xanax helps me cope with nite terrors...
Addicts? Yes. Anyone who is on a controlled substance is "dependent" on their medication, I wouldn't simply call them addicts... Plus, it is very dangerous to go with xanax, seizures, shakes, restless legs, etc. This is like alcoholics. So try to show some empathy, if the medication is stolen, then person cannot just stop taking this cold turkey!
That's not cool... My grandma is freaking out .. In her 70s because she has hip replacement surgery Monday and has been stressed about it and she lost her bottle of Xanax... We've been searching from 3am to almost 5am with no luck.... Show some compassion
Must first obtain police report then if your Dr is decent they can rewrite script pharmacy needs copy of the report as well .Some will do this ONCE in some cases but depending on laws in your state may not be considered ethical. You can also go back to ER and get new script font
False things are said by everyone about xanax. First if you are healthy benzodiazepenes are already in your brain. They are also found in vegetables and fruits. This is something not new. Opponeness of opioids and xanax don't discuss it. It is absolutely necessary for many people because of its high efficacy and safety. I've been taking 6 to 8 milligrams daily for years. No tolerance has developed. There is no high.
There also is no withdrawal if done correctly and using common sense. This also applies to opioids. I've done it multiple times. Titrate down using xanax. When an uncomfortable feeling starts take xanax. You judge the dose. It takes about 3 weeks but you can stretch it out to 3 months. You absolutely don't need to hospitalize yourself or go through a ridiculous detox program. Xanax is all it takes to get off xanax. Your doctor and you will have a difficult time finding a better medication for your original problem which may recur.
Six to Eight MG for years with no tolerance? We need to be honest with ourselves when taking this stuff as it is the hardest type of medicine to kick without a question
I dont agree go find an anti drug site before criticizing other people for simple chemical imbalances?? What makes you feel that it is appropriate to go onto a site and insult people by calling them addicts over a prescription that was written by a doctor stay out of the website if you have nothing good to say mama always said don't say anything at all night night
Dependent is the same thing as addicted. While you probably do have a real good reason to need meds it doesn't change anything. Good luck its difficult to manage.
I went through the unholy and gut wrenching withdrawals from xanax because someone stole my bottle. It was the worst thing I've been through. 2 week's later my doctor is telling me to come in next week for a drug panel and she'll give me another prescription. I don't want to have to deal with withdrawal again, but the anxiety attack I had last night went on for 9 hours. I'll take Xanax to not have to do that again.
Sounds like you are in the beginning stages of withdrawal. At no point should you assume you can wait until a Doctors visit and drug panel. If it gets bad go to the ER.
My doctor knows my daughter has a problem with opiates and he knows she has taken my meds before. Can this help me in getting a refill? It was only on the 16th of september.
Idk what to do. My husband was in hospice. So many people in and out. I had my xnanx in my purse. Now they are gone. What should I do?

Woke up today for work and went to get my xanax but it just isn't there. I'm almost positive it was in my jacket pocket and can't see anything else that could have happened to it other than it fell out last night. I have enough I keep on the side to get through the day but I've been taking for 15 years and have had it stolen once and had to get a police report to have the pharmacy replace it. What should I do about this? It's a full week before the refill can usually be given. And I'm sure those of you who have been on this long enough know how scared I am about this.
Re: Dee (# 4)
Now unless I'm not reading the thread correctly & there's a "read more" box I've failed to click, which contains an explanation for such a gross assumption, ignorance like that contained in your post is so terribly hurtful and disappointing. I've been on Xanax for 8 years and while I don't need it every day, there are on average 5 days a week where it is the reason I can drive to work in the morning. I just had a break in where a RX that was only one day old with 2 pills gone was taken. I am now having trouble getting a replacement because of people who assume anyone needing an early refill on a controlled substance especially benzos, MUST be an addict.
Xanax truly ruined my father. He denies the things he does, takes all 90 in four days or less and then destroys (literally walls and everything) the house looking for them. Then says we stole them, calls the law, threatens to hurt me, wakes you up slamming things, ect. Throws everything out the door then ends up in a psych ward jail hospital or unconscious because he falls and hits his head. Calls me names. I've hit him and knocked him out before when he tried to pick me up and slam me. And when he pulled a razor blade on me. Then says it never happened. I've called his doctor and they don't believe us despite constant police reports and him running out sooooo soon. Police says go to court house, get court order and all that does is put him in a mental institution for a couple days. Xanax is a manipulative drug that plays with your mind and emotions. Needed idk - but think about how you lost your xanax before you go trying to get more. You may be that person ruining someone's life that just wants you to stand on your feet, not fall on your face.
I'm in the same boat as you. I was brutally raped to the point that when I woke up I had 25 stitches down the front of my stomach. They had to cut me and go through my stomach to repair my privates. And I was molested by a family member at age 9. So I was diagnosed with manic, bipolar, PTSD, and extreme anxiety disorder. So all of you a**holes need to learn more about the people who have to have them to function daily.
