Xanax And Suboxone

I live in Hazard Ky. I need a doctor bad. I am 53 yrs old and I don't abuse drugs. I was in the suboxone clinic and was doing great but I couldn't quit the xanax and i don't go to a doctor on a regular basis but I'm trying to find one but I need a suboxone Dr that will write me something for my nerves and the suboxone. I know there are some that will. I have been on xanax for 20 years and I have tried so hard to come off them. I am a person that when I set my head on something i do it but I have to say that they stop me. I have been prescribed them and i don't take no more than the dr use to give me, that's 4 1mgs. It cost me 30 for a suboxone and 6 for a 1mgs of xanax 2 of them that is 45 dollars a day. Sometimes I get them a little cheaper but I have to have it or i would have panic attacks and i am bipolar plus I could go on but please if any body knows of a Dr in or around Hazard let me know.

I've been on some type of Benzo for longer than 20 years I just quit them in March cold turkey under doctors care. I was addicted to them was having sleep problems because the Benzo doesn't have a strong half life I was completely miserable on them. They made my anxiety worse my heart rate had always been high now it's Down to 78.
Hey guys, my name's Tammy. I have real experience when it comes to the drug Xanax. the only doctors at Norman who will give those are psychiatrists. I was addicted to Xanax white bars for six years from a psychiatrist. After running out a few times and experiencing the first part of withdrawal from Xanax I stay away from them. I wouldn't lick one if I could. If I took one I'd be right back on them. It was one of the hardest withdrawals I've ever had in my life. They're very highly addictive. Their nickname is the Mind Eraser. There are lower drugs that are available. One is Klonopin - it is still has the same side effects and you're addicted again. I just wanted you to know I understand addiction to Xanax and I also have anxiety disorder along with bipolar so I have been experimented on by psychiatrists for at least 18 years and I'm 58. Now for the woman talking about trying to get a doctor that will prescribe Xanax and Suboxone, good luck in finding one that will, but I have an idea. First you gotta find a doctor that you know prescribes Xanax and also who has diagnosed you. If you have to go to a psychiatrist just to be diagnosed it will be worth the money. Read up on bipolar and on anxiety disorder and ad-lib if you have to and you ask that doctor for Suboxone and they should be very happy to give you Suboxone since it is a substitute for opiates. If you have been kicked out of a clinic (for my pain doctor at least) more than once or not pass a drug panel then your s*** outta luck.
It's a huge money maker and guess who makes the money? But you have to follow a doctor's order specifically and pass all drug panels to be able to get a doctor that will prescribe either of those medications and there has to be a reason you can't find a doctor that would do it. And please don't get mad at me, but I've had to find a new pain doctor because something that was not my fault and this guy has got me on an 18th of what I was on. Gives me nothing for withdrawals and yes it's opiates but it's only 15 milligrams and I have broke my back. I have five bulging discs, permanent nerve damage through both legs, on, on and on. So a question is, is a pain doctor a psychiatrist? A doctor that will give Suboxone is each to their own. What will work for different people won't work for other people. I wish I had an answer cuz man I've been there. Want to say this to any of us that have anxiety, pain or anything that takes what they called different medications. We are put in a category and any of you that have taken opiates or nerve medication or anything understand what I'm talking about and now the laws are getting so strong about it. And if that doctor is the kind of doctor that is cruel they can put you on a list that goes United States wide and to every Pharmacy any Hospital emergency room and you are labeled a drug addict and that pisses me off. You do right you keep them, but mess up once and you're a fugitive for life; and on top of being bipolar along with having chronic pain and anxiety disorders.
There are so many disorders of the brain it's only chemical and balances and thousands of reasons for chronic pain and people should at least try to start understanding if you choose to take medication for it. That should be our choice. We pay the doctor bill, we buy the medication and it's our choice if we have to live on some kind of assistance to try to live a halfway normal life and the people that judge have never had chronic pain, have never had anxiety in the way either of you or all of us have had cuz they can manifest in so many ways. They could be PTSD and there could be so many things involved I just hate that people put people in categories. I pray to all of you that you find your answers. Each one is different and each one has special circumstances. God willing, he'll lead you the way. Just wanted to give you my comment. Thanks.
Hey guys, I am also from Ky and to be honest Ky has a very strict law in which they forbid dr.s to prescribe both let alone keep them in a program. Trust me I've been on suboxone for 5 years and take xanax as well but its all about analyzing yourself and spending some money to see how long you can take it and how long after you take it for it to leave your system. My dr is insanely strict so I have learned to just take them after I go the fay of and make sure I don't take nothing for a week before I return. Needless to say it is hard for me because I too was prescribed them. I never abused them (only opiates) and I go days without sleeping when I don't have them, severe ptsd and anxiety. So yea I understand both your guy's pain. It sucks but it's the life we chose to live. Eventually I would like to be done with the suboxone and just have my anxiety meds.. I know this may not have been useful but long story short I don't think you'll find anywhere that will let you take xanax with suboxone in Ky unless they are dirty.. Best of luck.
Hello Faye! Did you ever find a doctor that would actually help you get both? That's the same problem I have. I take my medication as I am instructed to, but have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and insomnia as well. So now I need a doc to give me the Xanax but my doctor has personally been in trouble over those himself, so there's no way he'd ever perscribe them to me. Please!! Any help whatsoever would be VERY MUCH appreciated!! Thanks again!
