HOT FLASHES ## Are you asking about using Belladonna Alkaloids for hot flashes? It has been prescribed for alleviating them for many years, but testing didn't actually prove it to be effective, so as a treatment of hot flashes and the symptoms of peri or full menopause, it generally isn't recommended anymore. Many women get much better relief from Evening Primrose and Black Cohosh, some even add the natural Progesterone creams. All of these are available over the counter, but you should check with your doctor, before using any of them.

I had to chang to this medicine because I can no longer get estratest. I continue to have pain as if I have a urinary tract infection. The doctor said it was from dry vagina. I have never heard of that. Is this a side effect of this medicine? The pain is terrible. I feel like not taking the medicine at all. I'm always in pain. My doctor did give me some cream to use in my vagina. ## Im having the same problem. Vaginal dryness, i thought this medicine was gonna stop that but i guess not. I stopped taking the medicine. It also gives me mood swings. Im going back to the doctor in november, hopefully he can perscribe something else. ## If you ladies are still having this problem, or if anyone else is looking for information on this same issue, I have some information and advice to provi...

I recently visited my OB/GYN with concerns about adverse reactions due to stopping Loestrin24. My husband and I are trying to conceive, and to remedy my intense headaches, severe cramping, and heavy menstuation my doctor gave me a 3-week sample of Minivelle. Everything I have read states this drug is used during menopause. Why, then, has my doctor chose this for me at 25 while trying to conceive? ## Even the manufacturer's webpage directly states that Minivelle (estradiol transdermal system) is a prescription medicine patch that contains estradiol (an estrogen hormone), used to treat moderate to severe hot flashes due to menopause. That said, I too wonder why your doctor would have prescribed it for fertility reasons. Did he/she check your hormonal levels to see if you were ever low...

i am talking about fluconazole for yeast infection and also i am about to take nitrofur-macro for urinary tract infection, but i am not sure if it's ok to take it concurrently. ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to fluconazole & nitrofurantoin. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using fluconazole together with nitrofurantoin may increase the risk of liver and lung toxicity. This may be more likely to occur in older adults or those with a debilitating condition. Talk with your doctor before using these medications together. Call the doctor if you have side effects such as cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, or pain. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins an...

Does anyone know what the pink pill is that is for yeast infection and you only have to take one.......I don't know anything more today. ## Diflucan - your doctor will know what it is and you can only get it with a prescription. Here is a web site - www.yeast-infection-remedies.com/candida-diflucan.html ## Though it can't be definitively said without knowing the markings, Diflucan would also have been my best guess, since it is available in a single dose, pink tablet for treating yeast infections. It contained the active ingredient Fluconazole, and is now also available as a generic under this name and some pharmacies even include it on their $4 discounted medications formulary. Are there any questions or comments? There are more Diflucan details available here.

I have been on tamoxifin for a year ,only side affects has been weight gain.I'm thinking about trying raspberry ketones supplements to lose weight.I eat healthy and work out every day ,but can't seem to lose the weight. ## I'm sorry, but since the Raspberry Ketones are actually considered a supplement and not a medication, they haven't been tested for possible problems and interactions with prescription drugs. I've tried doing some search to see if I could find anything, even user reports, but nothing is turning up. Thus, the only suggestion I can make is to check with your doctor or pharmacist, they may have more information from experience with other patients/customers. Has anyone used them together? I visited the gynecologist to have a yearly exam, she stated i needed to be on a low dose of estrogen, because i had had a hysterectomy years before (like 6 yrs), and i was at risk for osteporosis). I advised her i smoked heavily, it was asked on the new patient form. She gave me no indication that i could get a blood clot being that i am over 35 (i am 39) and that i smoke. Last weds i had a big clot that went to my heart and caused a heart attack. I have great doctors, and they said i am lucky to be alive. I now have damage to my heart. I quit smoking. The hematologist is doing major blood work, sending it to all parts of the country to see why i got the blook clot, but we think it's because of that estrogen patch she gave me, smoking, and being close to 40. i just got some pillz and i want to know what it is dark blu coated white pill round shape letter n on one side and 10 on other ## Is this pill blue or white in color? I found two small round white pills with the marking N on one side and 10 on the other. They are both Canadian and were made by Novopharm (now known as Teva-Canada). If the N is very fat and looks embedded then it's 10mg of Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex), an antiestrogen drug. If the N is normal looking then it's 10mg of Domperidone (Novo-Domperidone), a gastrointestinal drug. There's other N 10 imprints but they're different colors, depending on whether yours is actually white or blue?
