How is your wife doing? Usually, bleeding during pregnancy is caused by a low level of progesterone, which is a hormone vital to maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Thus, when this abnormal bleeding occurs, it's what's usually used to help stop it and ensure that she carries the baby to full term. What type of doctor is she seeing? ## Hi Verwon, She is doing fine and perfectly ok, The Info about the Doctor is, she is Gynecologist. One more thing I would like to sh...
I just picked up a prescription for what I thought was estratest 0.625. This pill is oval aqua colored with m 77 on it. Can you tell me the strength of it. I had a hysterectomy 11 years ago. I'm concerned about taking hormones but don't know what else to do? Any ideas? ## Does it also have an IP on it? If so, it contains 0.625mgs of Estrogens and 1.25mgs of Methyltestosterone. It has several uses on and off label such as a fertility aid. It's also used by bodybuilders after an anabolic steroid cycle to restart the Hypothalamic Pituitary Testicular Axis (HPTA) and get natural testosterone flowing again. ## Thanks for sharing this information "Guy"! I also have some more important details to add to this, for those who are concerned about possible side effects and other related info. Common adverse drug reactions associated with the use of clomifene (1% of patients) include: vasomotor flushes (or hot flashes ), abdominal discomfort, visual blurring (dose-depende...
i have been prescribed with fluconazole 150 for my yeast infection for 6 consecutive nights. yesterday night was suppossed to be the last one, but i forgot to take it! what should i do? ## What did you end up doing? You should have taken it as soon as you remembered. This isn't really as touchy as an antibiotic, since it's an antifungal, so the spacing of the dosages doesn't have to be exact . Has the infection been clearing up, yet? Any time that you have a question like this, please don't be afraid to ask your doctor or pharmacist, they will be happy to help you. PCOS/PCOD is usually caused by a lack of antioxidants, certain nutrients and a hormonal imbalance, so getting things back to working properly can take a lot of patience and time. Usually, a big part of it is a lack of Vitamin D and the hormone progesterone, so things can improve by supplementing them back. However, you should also know that there isn't necessarily a 'normal' flow that you need to worr...
I m 13 weeks pregnant, my doctor has advised to take Dubagest 200 (dosage: Twice a Day) from starting of 9th week and recommended to continue till 16th week of pregnancy. Could you please advise is it safe to take the above medicine in 2nd trimester. also advise r there any side effects of this medicine. I had miscarriage 2 and half years back. Pls reply ASAP! ## Dubagest contains Progesterone, many miscarriages are caused by a woman not producing enough of it naturally. Thus, your doctor is trying to help ensure that you carry this baby to full term by supplementing it for you to be safe. It can wake up the estrogen in your body, so you may experience nausea, headache, irritability and dizziness. Are there any other questions or concerns?
Was prescribed for heavy vaginal bleedingand irregular periods. ## HOW WILL PROVERA HELP ME WITH HEAVY BLEEDING, CLOTTING TAKEN IN CONJUNCTION WITH OVRAL? ## Provera contains a synthetic form of Progesterone, which is a hormone vital to the female menstrual cycle. In many cases, issues such as amenorrhea, PMS, PCOS/PCOD and the symptoms associated with perimenopause/menopause are caused by a deficiency in it. Thus, supplementing it back can help correct the issues. You can learn more Provera details here. Since this one is a synthetic form, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight changes and headache. And something such as Ovral is often given to help try to keep your hormones regulated long-term, once you are finished with the Provera. Are there any comments and qu...
Large round tan pil with a line on one side and nothing on the other ## Hi, Heather! Where did you find it? If there are no markings on it, we can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured and approved prescription medication, because they are all required to have unique imprints to enable their identification. That means it is most likely some type of over the counter product, but there is also a chance that it could be a foreign medication. Does anyone else have any idea of what this may be?
My daughter is 18 yrs old, her height is only five feet and her weight is 65 kg. Her periods are very irregular sometimes after four or five months. Her doctor suggested she take chrominac-a. Are there any side effects from taking this medicine at this stage? ## Hi, Devika! HOw is she doing? Chrominac-A is just a nutritional supplement that contains several nutrients that are beneficial to our overall health. A lack of them can contribute to menstrual irregularities and other issues. There is no real harm in taking it, if her doctor said it is safe for her to do so, but it may not help with her problem. She may be low in the hormone Progesterone, since it's needed to enable a menstrual cycle, or she could be low in estrogen, so the endometrial lining isn't building up each month...
would like moreinformation on this drug. Is it bio-equivalent to Premarin? ## For anyone else looking for such information, they both contain estrogens, but without knowing the dosage, I can't say if they are completely the same. And these are synthetic hormones, so there are many risks associated with them, especially for older women and for smokers. Additionally, it isn't safe to take them, without also taking some type of Progesterone. And due to the risks, I strongly urge everyone to explore their other options first, such as using the natural bio-identical hormones. Are there any comments or questions?

The 3 and the 5 are separated by scoring in the pill and the flip side has a half moon imprint on it. ## small blue pill with a M and on the other side has a 3 and a 5 seperated with a vertical line ## The blue tablet with the M E5 on it contains 2mgs of Estradiol, which is a sex hormone, mostly predominant in women. Thus, it is frequently used for HRT. Learn more Estradiol details here. Being a synthetic hormone, it does carry some risks, such as increased risk of clotting, headaches, weight gain and dizziness. As to the original tablet, however, I haven't been able to find anything on that one. Does anyone else recognize it?
I have been taking these pills for exactly 21 days, I have not had a period in about a year, and have not taken birth control pills for over 21 years. It was prescribed for menopause symptoms. This morning I woke up with cramps and bleeding. Is this normal? ## Yes, these are synthetic hormones, the estradiol is a form of estrogen and the norethindrone is a progestin, which is a synthetic progesterone, so the rebalancing of your body's hormones can cause those types of side effects. You actually may not have been completely menopausal, even though you hadn't menstruated in a year or so, you may have just been low in hormones and on the verge of full menopause. If you were experiencing menopausal symptoms, then it is most likely that you were still producing some estrogens, but no...
## Does this contain Sulfa? ## this was prescribed for diarrhea when I was in Punta Cana. I was only on it for a few days, no side effects. I am looking for an American equivalent to submit for ins. reimbursement. ## @Heather Burton, Based on my research, the active ingredient in Gabbroral is Paromomycin sulfate- so I believe the answer to your question is Yes. It is an antibiotic used to treat intestinal infections such as cryptosporidiosis and amoebiasis, plus other diseases like leishmaniasis. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Paromomycin Details I hope this helps!
What is the difference between Progesterone supplements and medroxyprogest? I have been on Progesterone supplements for over 2 years and its breaking the bank. Looking for a more affordable alternative. ## Based on my research, significant differences do exist between synthetic (Medroxyprogesterone) and natural progesterone. Natural progesterone duplicates the body's progesterone exactly, causes fewer side effects and can be more consistently utilized by the body. In the case of natural progesterone versus synthetic progestins in hormone replacement, natural does appear to be better. Prescribed dosages also differ in regard to natural and synthetic progesterone. Synthetic progestin is 10 to 100 times as potent as the natural progesterone. This appears to be a tremendous range for so...

Round beige colored pill with P-D 635 on one side and 3 on the other side. Cannot find ANY info! ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I could locate is identified as Ethinyl Estradiol/Norethindrone 75 mg; used in the treatment of birth control, menstrual disorders, acne, postmenopausal symptoms, endometriosis, and more. This particular pill is round and beige colored with an imprint of PD 622 on one side and blank on the other. However I get the sense that it could possibly be from the same manufacturer, since the color, shape, and imprint are quite similar. Manufacturer: Warner Chilcott Laboratories National Drug Code (NDC): 00430-0482 Anyone else have thoughts on this?
