is pcos good in treating for pcos? i used Diane 35 at start. as it cause side affects my doctr perscribed Femilon. how its treatment on pcos work? will it be sucessful? ## Hi, Dania! How are you doing? Femilon is just another hormonal contraceptive, so the only way to see if it will work for you is to try it for a few months and see what happens. It will most likely cause side effects, as well, since it also contains synthetic hormones. PCOS/PCOD usually does well by replacing antioxidants in the body, adding vital nutrients and progesterone. What type of symptoms are you having from the PCOS? ## I started using femilon on the 3 day after my periods are done. I am I protected my femilon , can you please let me know , as I finished the packet 2 days back , but haven't got the periods...

If I wanted to take a pill form instead of the liquid, what would 1.5ml convert to in pills? How many mg's would I need to take? ## Without knowing how much is in that 1.5ml, no one would be able to answer your question. The 1.5ml is just a liquid measurement. There should be some other information on it, such as the dosage per 5mls, or something similar, it may be in the form of two numbers like this 5/1.5 or 5/5. Can you please post back with more specifics? Thanks!

If you are lacking in it, it can cause some of the types of problems that you are experiencing. Luprid and HCG are both basically used for the same thing, to support a healthy pregnancy or increase your chances of becoming pregnant, because HCG is something that you normally produce in large amounts, while pregnant....

A year ago my doctor prescribed me lo loestrin while I was on the pill some months I would have a period and another ones I wouldn't, she said that it was normal. I stopped taking the pill a month ago. After I stopped taking the pill (like 2- 3 days after it I got my period) my period was supposed to arrive again 3-4 days ago... My period has always been very irregular (with or without the pill) I'm wondering why my period is late ... Also a week ago I had a secretion as if I was in the 15th day of my period ... So does the ovulation start late once you're not taking the pill? My BF and I have been using condoms but just in case I did a pregnancy test and it was negative. Is it accurate? ## They are hormonal based contraceptives, so the irregularities while you are taking th...

Does anyone else have experience taking this drug for menopause? ## Elrredin Conjugated Estrogens Is this drug from Mexico? It's to treat menopause, right? ## I bought Elrredin in Mexico to treat Menopause. What are the side effects? I am taking 0.625 daily. ## I also bought Elrredin in Mexico. It has not helped me at all and I have been taking it for 3 days. When I had Premarin for the first time it worked within hours. But my new doctor will not give it to me. ## I have had a hysterectomy, would I need to take Elrredin daily without a break of five days? When I first took Premarin I took daily every day.

I was on HRT implants for about a year. Had nothing but good results with it, felt great, no weight gain, good drive, lots of energy. The draw back is the cost so my doctor suggested Estratest (generic) I started taking it about two weeks ago, mainly for libido and mental clarity. It makes me dizzy. Even when taking it at night I'm dizzy during the day. I feel the dosage is too low and might need to be increased but with the dizziness only one tablet is causing, I am afraid. Do the symptoms resolve after taking it for some time? ## In theory, they should go away, after your body gets used to it, but with hormones that can take about 3 months. Are you sure that's whats causing the dizziness? What are your blood pressure levels? Have you been dehydrated, at all?

I have stopped using cilift for two weeks now, since then my head has been spinning, I itch all the time, and my fingers are extremely stiff. I feel disorientated all the time. Please help! Could it be that I am fourty years old and I am going through menopause? I was on fourteen sleeping tablets a night and I managed to ween myself off. I have been off the sleeping tablets for a month now. ## The dizziness could be from stopping the Cilift, that could also explain the disorientation. Learn more Cilift details here. At 40, if anything is due to hormonal issues, it would be the start of menopause, which is perimenopause. Unless you've stopped having your periods. But that would only explain the skin itching, not the rest of it. Have you consulted your doctor?

I have estrogen dominance and was exposed to DES and was wondering if this is a common problem with other DES daughters. ## HI, Caryl! How are you? No, that's not usually one of the issues associated with DES exposure. However, it is very common among women of our time, due to the fact that we're almost constantly exposed to over 100 environmental factors that elevate our estrogen levels. Thus, it is most likely caused just by your normal lifestyle. Avoiding soy products, not cooking in plastic containers or drinking out of plastic bottles and avoiding some supplements, such as Black Cohosh can help lower your estrogen levels. It can also be elevated if you're slightly overweight, since estrogen is produced by fat cells. What has your doctor advised? ## Thanks for your respo...

Are cyclobenzoprine ingredients similar to midol or pamprin? My daughter is allergic to midol, pamprin, and other type drugs. Wondering if cyclobenzaprine will help with menstrual cramps and cause an allergic reaction. Thanks for assistance. ## Hi, Janice! How are you? No, it is not a similar medication, at all. That is the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine, it is a muscle relaxant that's available only by prescription. Learn more Cyclobenzaprine details here. What ingredient in the others is she allergic to? Knowing that may enable someone to suggest an alternative that she can take. Has she consulted her doctor?

My wife was done tubligation in 2009 after delivering twins, but in july 2011after loosing one of the twin daughters, she started getting irregular, heavy and clotted menstrual periods. She visited a Dr. In 2011 who gave her an emergency prescription of sylate + onother drug that we cannot recall by now, the bleeding stoped, but it has resumed after 2years now but as per my observation, this probkem seems to occur when she is stressed. Kindly advise. Regards ## Hi, Tallman! Sorry about the issues that your wife is having and for the loss of your child. And it makes sense that it may recur, whenever she is stressed, the irregular cycles, with heavy bleeding and clotting are usually caused by a lack of progesterone, which can happen as she ages and may not ovulate each month. Stress furth...

Hello All, I have been using femilon since one month... I am experiencing severe hair loss.. I consulted my dermatologist and she told me that if your contraceptive pills contain medroxyprogesterone it triggers hair loss.... so does femilon contain medroxyprogesterone ? ## To be accurate, hair loss can be a side effect of most synthetic hormones and that is what is used in these oral contraceptives. However, it is usually related to the artificial estrogens, not the artificial forms of progesterone, in most people. Femilon contains ehtinylestradiol (an artificial estrogen) and desogestrel (an artificial progesterone). The reason many women suffer hair loss during perimenopause and menopause is due to the fact that their progesterone levels drop off, when they stop ovulating, but their e...

I had miscarriage dis January D n E was done to evacuate d clothed blood, I've been spotting smelly blood since den, I started taking Primolut N Tab since two days ago, will it correct and is there any side effect, cos I want to take in again soon? ## From what I could gather, Primolut N tablets contain the active ingredient norethisterone, which is a synthetic hormone similar to the naturally occurring sex hormone. It is used to treat dysfunctional bleeding, primary and secondary amenorrhoea, premenstrual syndrome, delay of menstrual period, in combination with estrogen hormone replacement therapy and endometriosis. Based on it's indications, I have no reason to believe that it wont help correct that issue over time. As far as potential side effects go, WebMD lists the followin...
