Hi, i live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and i find that it is very difficult to the find a doctor in pain managemnt who will prescribe the right types of narcotics to effectively releave my chronic back pain. Any suggestions would be great. Thanx

good luck.. doctors around here are funny about prescribing oxycodone. I still haven't found one

My husband and I just moved here and are confused. He has severe neuropathy and has oxycodone and morphine. We need a doctor that prescribes not whatever this shot therapy. Can anyone help.

Green Bay - take 10mg oxy 4x/day for my back. I need a new pain doctor who actually can fill the first time, help heal whatever's wrong, get me off the meds, and let me move forward in life.

May I ask who the doctor was? I was just calling dr hassan's office and now I read ur note and I'm scared to go there. I'm interested in finding a doc who will give me a controlled script for my pain. Please help with any info on a different doc.

Dr. Scarlett. He's at Advanced Pain Managment. I cannot guarantee what he will do for you... But he has been Great for me!! He is 100 times the doctor that Hasan was to me, and allegedly still is a terrible doctor from what I have heard!!

Oh yes they do! Many doctors are now doing this due to the new CDC Guidelines.

You are absolutely correct no pain specialist will take you seriously because of the fact that you're so young I started having problems when I was 28 years old and I had to jump through so many Hoops in order to get any kind of pain relief and especially now with the new laws in place unless you're dying or have cancer they won't help you other than physical therapy I'm so terribly sorry for your pain because I completely understand

It won't. I had my meds dropped in half and I can hardly get out of bed. I'm in so much pain I can't stand it, plus I can't find any pain clinic that will give me meds. I have arthritis throughout my spine, a torn rotator cuff, knee surgery where my knee is now bone on bone. I also have fibromyalgia, suffer from migraines, SI joint issues and sciatica. In the last pain clinic I went to the doctor told me that my condition doesn't warrant any narcotics. They are punishing the people that take their meds like they're supposed to because of people that don't. It's not fair nor does it help anyone's quality of life. I have a 4 year old son that I can't even pick up or play with anymore. My life is absolute hell right now. I'm at the end of my rope. And with these doctors dropping everyone off of their meds there is going to be a serious illicit drug epidemic and people are going to die because anyone that has gotten legal meds doesn't have a clue on how to take illegal meds. It happened in Florida and there were many OD's.

I was at a Dr Hassan then Dr Shaffer, but Aurora made him retire. Then I went to a pill mill basically in Wauwatosa. They said I came up dirty which was impossible and dropped me.

What Dr did you go to? You never mentioned anyone, & I've had a Dr do the similar thing to me. Please inform who you went to.

Not true I took my meds as prescribed and she still dropped me. Saying I had no morphine in my system which is crazy cuz like I said I took it everyday as prescribed

No you are crazy!!! Doctors in lacrosse are giving narcotic's and benzos to mostly illicit drug users. Non-drug user's are taken off cold turkey. This includes xanax. I went cold turkey off my pain med 4 years ago. Further more he is a pain medicine doctor and denied me a referral to a cardiovascular doctor.

hi, i was just wondering if you found a doctor? I am in such desperate need of a good pain doctor but cannot find one! My doctor passed away 2yrs ago. For 13 years I was prescribed 30mg oxycodones & 60mg morphines. b4 the morphine he prescribed methadone.
I have a friend that gives me some of her methadone or I believe I'd be dead right now! The methadone works so much better than anything else! They work all day & night & u don't need much at all! I just thought I'd share my opinion on methadone. IF u do want to let me know ur doctors name I would so appreciate it!!! I have used up almost all of my savings...& would also love to do this legal again!!!

The best thing is to call your insurance company to help. People are very tight lip on who their doctor is. What we must do on a daily basis is flood calls and emails to the current government politicians that we vote in. We voted these people in. Like Scott Walker who made this bill up. He doesn't have our pain. Can't they see that there are two words that lead to opiate addiction? One, when they can't have meds that help pain or have no insurance they turn to other means. Two, they may just like doing it. I think they should have taken each patient by case and went from there. If you don't do right then be dealt with. This has become a very inhumane way to treat us I feel. I urge you to make your family and friends aware of what is happening, and call your alderman and mayor, and ever flood the governor's office. And when it's time to vote here in Wisconsin, get out and vote. Try to make it to the meeting of the new candidates and ask the hard questions. The CDC can't tell us how we feel.

Hi y'all from the Milwaukee area I'm a 22 year old man and was in a car accident when I was 15 with my buddy who passed out at the wheel drunk. We were young dumb and full of cum. Anyway I need to see a pain specialist due to horrific lower back pain which I believe is due from the 50 mph collision into a telephone pole. I'm worried I won't be taken seriously due to my age...anyone out there know of someone my age seeing a pain specialist that takes them seriously even though there young? I mean I'm 22 so how could I be in pain your so young your bones are made out of rubber right? Wrong I'm in terrrible pain at night when I get home from work
