Why Clavam 625 Is Prescribed?

Hello, I am a Male .Age:34 + , No Diabetes.I was having a bit pain in the area of lower abdomen just above the Penile base, Also had a little difficulty in getting out the last drops of urine (not the entire flow) for past 1 month. Doctor prescribed 3 days Clavam 625. I take a lot of water and do not use public toilet. What type of infection can this be and What can be the possible cause? Can it be related to Sex life? If so, how?
