White Pill 5500 (Top voted first)

I found some pills in my kid's room that are white oblong tablets with 5500 on one side & nothing on the other. What is this pill?

Tylenol 500 mg..its just a generic form of Tylenol

That's just acetaminophen. Like Tylenol.

Top Answer
The marking is actually "S500" instead of "5500" (first letter S instead of number 5). As others have stated, it contains Acetaminophen 500 mg (NDC 68210-0013 among others).

Here is an example of what a box may look like, but it could be packaged under multiple brands.

S500 acetaminophen

Inactive Ingredients:

- Hypromellose 2208 (15000 Mpa.s)
- Magnesium Stearate
- Microcrystalline Cellulose
- Polyethylene Glycol, Unspecified
- Povidone, Unspecified
- Starch, Corn
- Stearic Acid
- Talc
- Titanium Dioxide

(Since this is an over the counter product, inactive ingredients may differ by manufacturer).

I found 4 of these mixed with regular tylenol. She may have an addiction problem and I’m scared.

I'm curious too as I found them in my niece's room. It's a long oval-like pill with only 5500 or 0055 on it. It's not a capsule and has no other markings.
