The marking is actually "S500" instead of "5500" (first letter S instead of number 5). As others have stated, it contains Acetaminophen 500 mg (NDC 68210-0013 among others).
Here is an example of what a box may look like, but it could be packaged under multiple brands.

I'm curious too as I found them in my niece's room. It's a long oval-like pill with only 5500 or 0055 on it. It's not a capsule and has no other markings.
