I was given a prescription for each, but don't want to take both...just one of the weaker kind since I'm not in as much pain as usual, which one do I take Soma 350 mg or Oxycodone 10/325 mg?
Re: Chance (# 28)
Please don't play doctor. This is a perfect example of why you shouldn't! Soma is a muscle relaxer NOT a pain killer. She needs to see her own doctor or one who can explain the proper use of medications. Just saying......
Re: bosslady (# 13)
Have you ever looked into a morphine infusion pump? I've had one for just about 10 years and would never part with it.
Re: AL (# 19)
I've taken it in the past and it has had headaches when I no longer took it.
Re: Brim (# 5)
I take Vicodin 10, Soma 350, Dilaudid4 mg, and 10 mg of Ambien for lupus and fibromyalgia. Soma tends to work faster and the Dilaudid will knick me out so I take both Vicodin and soma together because the Vicodin has no Tylenol in it.
If youre not in much pain, just take the Soma. When you do have pain, I/2 to 1 painkiller taken at the same time with the Soma, will give you the relief you need.
Sorry, soma is a muscle relaxer, NOT a pain med! BIG difference! Get her some over the counter hemorrhoid ointment at the drugstore, that would help her MUCH more than soma!!
My girl friend has hemroids and the pain is excruciating so she says, is it OK if I give her soma pills for pain?
I take both of them I prefer Valium over some but doc said that they black box val so no more val
Hi TINA, actually exercise would probably work wonders for you. ..other than that I would have to say oxycodone, at least from my own experience. ..HOUSE
Hi......just wondering, what is SIMON?? As I said, I'm just curious. ..thanks, HOUSE
I been taking carisoprodol 350mg, 1 4x's a day I have chronic lower back pain and also get muscle pain, I take water pills because I retain water so I get muscle cramps bad one's where I never knew you could get, they are screaming type pain, and my back pain makes it hard for me to do anything like walking for more then 20 min. or when I sit for longer then 20min. I get like a sciatic type numbing pain down my right thigh, I was on codeine sulfate 30mg, but the soma's work better for me, but my Dr. nurses physician, says it's only to be used for a short time and wants me not to take them anymore, in other words just suffer, I can't take any type meds w/aspirin in it I have been thru a lot of different meds and don't want to be a guinie pig my last Dr. pasted away & this one I see is giving me a hard time about my pain meds, I go in once a month so they can keep tabs on me, I've done everything asked, got a mri etc. but I don't want to loose the little quality of life I have, I mean I no these pain meds are addicting but I follow the rules on bottle, I don't get it if one has chronic pain, are you suppose to just suffer because the Dr. or PA is worried about addiction or getting in trouble with the medical whatever, I have a chronic condition that can not be undone so do I suffer and loose quality of living because they are afraid to keep giving you what works for this chronic pain, also I swim 3 x's a week which helps a little but not enough, my question is can soma be used longer then short term if one's condition warrants this? I read soma's doesn't have bad side effects like other pain medications
I get percocets cause I broke my collar bone in a car accident and they help to take the edge of but I find it to work better when I take both a Percocet 10/325 and soma 350 together but I don't take them all day everyday I only take them when the pain is very unbearable because I have a high tolerance for pain. I don't find much of a difference if I take them separately but the somas don't help much so I tend not to take them if I don't have to and will take a Percocet instead. But everybody's different so only you would know which would help better.
Until you have lived in someone else's body and experienced their life, you have no place to judge and/or insult them. It's good to share advise and personal experience. Pain, whether chronic or not is difficult. It's hard enough to ask for advice or get these kinds of medications, let alone the stigmas, put downs, sideways glares and such. Please be kind. Not everyone is looking to feel high. Most people really just want and need pain relief so they can sleep, enjoy life and make positive contributions in society.
EMPATHY Should be an essential REQUIREMENT for anyone in this profession ( ideally for everyone on this planet ) but this is not realistic.Unless one has experienced the agonizing suffering and stigmatization felt by a host of illnesses, diseases and or conditions presented by these unfortunate patients HOW CAN WE IDENTIFY WITH THEM?????? WE CANNOT,but kindness and inclusion should be inherent. I remind myself on a daily basis THRREFORE THE GRACE OF GOD, GO I. Just a thought for US ALL.
Kindest regards,
Kenie K.
Unfortunately, tramadol is one of the world's most horrible detox drugs.....Probably worse than any other even H, methadone, vics, norcs, somas, etc etc......and to answer the above question, cardisapol, (however you spell it ) is the same as regular soma. I was hooked on those long before they got popular! And the kick wasn't pretty. It's an ugly cycle, these drugs we depend on now that we're prescribed to get hooked.
I take 5-325 vicodin and I swear its causing headaches. Is there a fix?
My personal opinion on soma taking it short term like a wk. or two is OK but don't use it for all the time. Soma is not a good drug ifor ya use it for all the time it doesn't work anymore so ya take more which I've seen people do and they almost died SO BEWARE
Don't take them together Did your Dr. Tell you this... I don't understand why persons take it for what it's intended for... it's not a long term solution to your problem ,seek other ways to ease your pain...
Finally somebody that is empathetic, kind, and knows what there talking about........WAY TO GO!!
Trust me. ....once heavy usage, can be addictive and fairly uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms.
