Where To Purchase Paregoric (Page 18)

I've used Paregoric for 15 years and can't find it. Is there anywhere in the U.S. or other countries where this can be purchased?

I need Paregoric for my girlfriend who suffers from Acute Diarrhea. We have a prescription but can't get it filled.

Since I was a child I’d have severe cramps and diarrhea. A dr determined im allergic to food products. Preservatives, fillers, corn etc., as a kid my mom would give me a juice glass with whiskey and ginger ale. Then she explained to my dr. He then prescribed paregoric. Usually one teaspoon would kick it. I never used it unless I had an attack. Never craved it. Only sought it when I needed it usually a few times a month. It’s embarrassing and painful when you go to a wedding or an outing and you can’t do nothing but sit in the bathroom for hours. Well in the 80’s my doc retired. His new partner boo hood it. Now if you ask a doctor they act like you’re a junky or something. The stuff tastes so harsh how could you crave it??? Well big pharma the main culprit has new meds for that and they are not opiates, wow!!! They do carry bad side effects. The problem is our government and the DEA are sticking their noses too deep into our business. I still as I age get worser episodes. I’m so dehydrated when it stops hours and hours later. I cry and moan from the pain. I’m so angry. Besides now they forced most dr.s into not prescribing or under prescribing and the human toll in suffering is getting worse. There was a time when scientists called the opium poppy a gift from god for human suffering. We are not all looking to get a high. There needs to be a coalition of patients, dr's and lawyers to sue for compassionate treatment. And tell the DEA to go stop the illegal drugs from pouring into our country. That’s why they were created. They're so helpless against H and fentanyl coming into the country killing hundreds of thousands of people. Who decided they have a role between the patient and Dr? They don’t go to medical school? We need to get pain suffering patients what they need. Ironically the more pain patients cut off of needed meds the more illegal drugs are destroying lives. I’d like to have a better quality of life again.
