Every Saturday about the same time. Some of the comments I have read indicate that weight loss begins much earlier in the program. What are others experiencing? What am I doing wrong?
UpdatedI have extra boxes of Wegovy that I don't want to go to waste. Are there any legitimate programs that accept unused prescription medication?
UpdatedAnyone else noticing inability to get refreshing restful sleep? Since my first dose last Thursday I have hardly slept and am worried about taking a second dose because I really need my sleep.
UpdatedSo I started on wegovy around 7 weeks ago. I've dropped from 277 to 240 in that time span. One thing I noticed is that my upper stomach area is still always bloated and like I'm retaining water. I know since my diet has drastically changed, my calories have dipped. So one, I'm not eating no where as much as the past, and I guess not getting a ton of fiber. I can't stand Metamucil. Was wondering for any other tips. Thanks. ## As an adamant non-fan of Metamucil, I feel your pain. You can get fiber capsules that will help. Just make sure to take them with plenty of water. I take 3 capsules twice a day, and it helps. You can buy these at the grocery, drug store or online. ## How does everyone deal with the gas and upset stomach? ## Fiber pills (at least 6 per day), lots of w...
9 REPLIES UpdatedMy first injection was this past Thursday (3 days ago). And I’m on Weight Watchers. Can I expect a more than normal weight loss this first week on Wegovy (0.25 mg)? And please share your weight losses and how many pounds you’ve lost so far on this product. Thank you in advance.
UpdatedHello all, I am fairly healthy besides my weight. Usually consume about 1600 calories daily. Workout 3x a week or more. Started Wegovy two days ago... Starting Weight: 200 Current Weight: 194 Has anyone else lost 6lbs in two days?!?! I haven't even defecated... I'm drinking the same amount of water... ## I was wondering if anyone is discovering that Wegovy is not what they thought it was for weight loss? I have been on this for going on 12 weeks. I just injected my last 1 mg syringe. I will titration up next week. I started at 164 and am only down to 154 - so 10 pounds in about 12 weeks. I am 5 feet tall. I am having all the gastric stuff, slight nausea, constipation. I just thought if I put in the work (walking at least 6,000 steps a day, eating well) I would have lost more wei...
7 REPLIES UpdatedHas anyone experienced skin sensitivity while on Wegovy? My skin feels like I have a sunburn. It's not hot, but feels real tight and hurts when touched or clothing moves or anything. No rash. Wegovy is the only new thing but it didn't happen til I had been taking it for 6 or 7 weeks. ## Yes! I am experiencing this also. Skin feels so sensitive, burning, sore to touch, clothes and touch uncomfortable. Did not start until higher dosages. ## I can't find anything listing this as a known side effect. Are either of you on any other medications? Have you consulted your respective doctors? The FDA lists the typical Wegovy side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, bloating, and heartburn. Ref: Wegovy Information ## I am not taking any other medications. I did f...
32 REPLIES UpdatedHas anyone had luck with insurance coverage? If so, what plan and is it a small business or large business corporate policy? ## I'm in Massachusetts and Wegovy is covered by my Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare plan. ## I'm currently on a large business insurance plan and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Wegovy is covered for me. My company is working with ibgportland, which covers it by the plan. Every insurance plan is different, but it might be worth reaching out to your insurance company to see what options are available to you. It can definitely be frustrating dealing with insurance coverage, but don't give up hope! ## I have HP but they won’t cover it, even though my BMI is over 27 and I have an obesity related condition. I had a BMI of 30 but my previous insur...
4 REPLIES UpdatedHi! I have been taking Ozempic for weight loss (off-label), and I am currently on a 0.5 dose. I have decided to switch to Wegovy instead and plan to start in a week. Since I have been taking a 0.5 dose of Ozempic, should I start Wegovy at that same dose? I am thinking it should be okay since it's literally the same drug and my body has already adjusted to it. Thank you in advance for any feedback. ## Your doctor should be able to direct you in how to switch from one to the other, the maximum dose of Wegovy has been shown to help more with weight loss than the lower dose Ozempic. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, vomiting, heartburn, gas, and diarrhea. Ref: Semaglutide Information How has your weight loss been going, so far?
1 REPLY UpdatedTook my 1st dose yesterday. This afternoon got really sick with vomiting, bloating, nausea, abdominal pain at the top of my abdomen in the center. Can’t stop belching either. I was constipated but took duloculax and has helped. Any ideas on what to take to keep from getting violently ill? ## There is an FDA warning for Mounjaro that states if you experience stomach pain, you should inform your doctor immediately, as that could be the sign of a serious adverse reaction. Other side effects are listed as possibly including elevated heart rate, recurrent fever, anxiety, and cough. Ref: Mounjaro Information Are you on any other medications? ## I get abdominal migraines instead of migraine headaches, and one of the telltale signs of an abdominal migraine is the pain is in the middle par...
12 REPLIES UpdatedHas anyone been able to fill a prescription for Wegovy in Phoenix, AZ or nearby cities? ## Can you purchase a higher dose of Wegovy and administer less medicine to more or less give the dose you need since the one I'm on is not available? ## Anyone know where you can get the lower dose of Wegovy in New York?
2 REPLIES UpdatedDoes anyone have experience with Wegovy side effects (e.g. diarrhea), how long they last, etc? ## Diarrhea is listed by the FDA as a very common side effect of Wegovy, along with headache, dizziness, bloating, and heartburn. Ref: Medline Plus Wegovy Side effects typically hit their peak at around 4 to 6 weeks, after starting a medication at a steady dose, then taper off in severity. Has anyone else that's been taking this medication experienced side effects? ## I think the diarrhea is happening less. That may be because I eat almost nothing. I’m afraid if I eat regular meals I will poop and throw up. ## The diarrhea went away until I moved up to 1.7. Now it is severe. Will eating any carbs or sugar make the diarrhea worse? ## I am having most of the side effects we were warned...
6 REPLIES UpdatedWegovy and Mounjaro need to be available. Both Novo and Eli cannot manufacture despite willing and paying customers. Since they have no foreseeable capacity to manufacture the medication then why allow them to profit from something they CANNOT make nor hope to make? As a right to lower cost of health we need to forcibly push Congress to take these medications and remove Novo and Eli as holders of patents for which they are incapable of supplying. Eight months waiting. Not a single time filled! ## Why would they do that? The object is to keep legislation status quo because elected officials get very high paying jobs at Pharmaceutical co's when they temporarily leave public service and then re-enter. Your job is to avoid using their products unless it is absolutely necessary.
1 REPLY UpdatedI am still hungry with the starting dose of Wegovy (0.25mg). Is this normal? ## Same! I had my 1st dose (.25) last Wednesday and feel no effects! ## I just took my 4th dose last night and yes, I still have cravings and hungry but since I started doing low carb that has subsided a bit. ## Generally, you have to take most medications for awhile in order for them to reach their full level of efficacy in your body, very few medications have much of an effect when you first start them. How are you doing, now? Have things improved? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Wegovy as possibly including nausea, headache, anorexia, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Ref: Wegovy Information ## The first couple months on Wegovy I could eat normally and thought about food constantly. I'm in month 4 ...
4 REPLIES UpdatedI just took my first dose after our family doc got my Federal Blue Cross prescription plan pre-approved. Bought Wegovy at a Walgreens pharmacy in Pennsylvania (U.S.A.). I'm curious about why the Walgreens label says "QTY 2", even though the box has 4 single-dose pens. Same for my wife. Does anyone know what this QTY means? ## Did you and your wife fill your prescriptions together? I wonder if "QTY 2" means a quantity 2 total prescriptions being filled? ## I was told it says 2 because its 0.25ml of Wegovy and a 0.5ml of injection. That's what they said at Walgreens; however I would check with the doctor. I am not a medical professional; just sharing my personal experience. ## The quantity 2 on your label stands for 2 ml (milliliters). The medication contains 0.25m...
3 REPLIES UpdatedWhat options are out there to get Wegovy ASAP? Anyone using Ticare (Express scripts)? Will the military get it quicker? I'm at the point that I need to move up to the 0.5mg dose and don't want a break in usage. Drug stores are on backorder.
UpdatedAnyone experience a raised rash one week post injection? Due for my 3rd shot tonight and I noticed raised bumps on my arms and torso. Not sure if it’s related but I’m concerned. ## The FDA does list a skin rash as being a possible side effect of Wegovy, along with anxiety, bloating, constipation, and cough. However, you should check with your doctor to be certain. Are you on any other medications? Ref: Medline Plus ## Wegovy has a boxed warning about the possible risk of thyroid cancer. A boxed warning is a serious warning from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about drug effects that may be dangerous. Did you see this? I would stop taking these, it does work but also comes with consequences like everything else. Try to follow a diet from a holistic doctor as my sister ...

2 REPLIES UpdatedHas anyone experienced achiness from taking Wegovy? About one month ago as my dose increased to 1.0, I started to notice and overall achiness. I assumed I was coming down with a virus but one month later it persists. Just wanting to know if anyone else is feeling this or whether I need to see my healthcare provider more urgently. ## The FDA doesn't list this as a known side effect of Wegovy, but we are all different, so not everyone experiences the same reactions to any given medication. The typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and bloating. Ref: Medscape Wegovy Are you on any other medications? When it comes to such issues, it is always best to consult your doctor to be sure of what's going on. ## I we have very sensitiv...
6 REPLIES UpdatedHello. My Dr. prescribed Wegovy today. I have not started it yet as I'm still waiting on insurance approval. I was wondering if anyone's Dr. told them a specific diet plan to follow? I have been eating extremely low carb for almost 2 years with some success in weight loss but not consistent. While talking to my Dr. she said to keep following that low carb diet. However, that doesn't make much sense to me knowing that she wants me to work out daily. I feel I need more substance than 50 carbs a day to be able to work out. Am I wrong? Even when I asked about adding back healthy carbs such as beans potatoes etc she advised against it. Anyone have their own experiences in this department? ## It is always best to follow your doctor's instructions, and keep her updated, so you ...
