Watson 853 - Is It Norco 10/325? (Page 2) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI got a prescription for generic norco and it has watson 853 imprinted on it. I was wondering if I am getting the correct medication or if I am being ripped off at this pharmacy? It is yellow.
Very insightful and cool of you to point this out. I hope you're a proponent of universal healthcare, because it's BIG BUSINESS that will be shut out by GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION....all pills will have one name, one price, and America(ns) will save a s*** ton of money.
No you sell them, not me, you fill them by doctors orders and do not warn you of addiction, so you need to keep quiet. I found out the hard way. And no, I don't think anyone here would post if they are doing illegal things... Hope you go out of business just cause of what you said, read my post.... And you will understand my position, when I was in pain at an 8-10, after an oxycodone and a Valium and the morphine my pain went to 2-5, depending on what I was doing, yes it was mood altering but heck the helped me in the need of pain, major pain, right now my back hurts typing at a level of 5 and Tylenol brings it down to, with a Valium which I am taking for anxiety due to fear and stress, it drops to a 3. So you shutup, cause if I ever hurt again, I well take oxycodone and morphine again but only at a level of 8-10.period!!!
the difference, even tho both made by watson, is that the FDA permits only a 20-25% difference in bioequivalency between generic and brand name. (if the drug companies were actually monitored as i have had many batches of rx drugs that do not work and i have had to take 1.5 or 2 times my prescribed dosage. Thus, watson's brand name "Norco's" are technically stronger than their generic name. It's a way for the company to make more money and if you have good insurance, get name brand Norco. That way you know you are getting the full chemical make up and not any diluted s***.
YOU ARE VERY LUCKY, AS YOU GOT THE RIGHT THING IN WATSON 853. BE GLAD THEY DIDN'T GIVE YOU IP 110, WHICH IS THE LATEST SUBSTITUTE FOR 10/325 HYDROCODONE , ACETAMINOPHEN. MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING THAT THEY DONT GET ANYWHERE THE SAME RESULTS FROM THIS IP 110, WHICH CHEMICALLY IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE SAME THING, BUT YOU ARE FINE WITH THE WATSON 853. IF YOU LOOK IT UP, IT WILL HAVE THE PROPER INGREDIENTS AS YOUR NORCO BRAND HAS...
SEE THERE,,, NOW THIS IS THE FIRST PERSON WHO FINALLY AGREES, THAT BRAND LIKE NORCO, AND GENERIC LIKE WATSON, OR EVEN MUCH WORSE LATELY TRY THE IP 110, THEY CALL THE SAME THING,,, ARE NOT THE SAME. AND GOOD FOR YOU, AS IM AN ENGINEER, YOU PUT SOME NUMBERS TO IT SAYING 20 TO 25 PERCENT OF DIFFERENCE IS ALLOWED CHEMICALLY BY THE FDA... THEY HAVE BEEN LIEING TO PEOPLE IN TELLING THEM THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE, WHEN IN FACT IF YOU ARE RIGHT, THERE IS UP TO 25% DIFFERENCE ALLOWED. AND I ASK ALL OF YOU, DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE 25% MORE INGREDIENTS , OR 25% LESS... SELF ANSWERED, TO KNOW IT WOULD HAVE TO BE LESS OR IT WOULD BE DANGEROUS. BUT BY DILUTING IT, IT IS STILL SAFE AND THEY MAKE MORE MONEY,,, FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY, SOMEONE HAS COME FORTH AND TOLD ON THESE DISHONEST PEOPLE.
I have been taking prescription narcotics for 10 years straight now due to ruptured disks, torn ligaments in my back and ruptured disks in my neck, ive had cervical fusion amd double lumbar fusions and I also suffer with permanent nerve damage in both legs amd sciatica, this is where im getting at, I was taking the blue loritab 10/650 then started taking the pink loritab 10 amd had alot of pain relief, now im on lorcet 10/650 which were greenish blue , well now they've taken the colors out of the pills and I find, none of them help at all, I have to take 2 or 3 at a time, idk why they removed the coloring from the pills but they have surely screwed the ppl who need them, has anyone researched this and if so, what did you find out about it?
Watson 853 r the best u r going to get and the yellow v's plain and simple
No generic are FDA approved, it is BS they are not as effective or meet the standards of approval , they ( the Govt would rather you use generics, because if they do harm to you, it s almost impossible to sue a generic, Big Brother looking out for Big Pharma! Even store brands are not the same!
I disagree with statements like these. The binders & fillers etc..within the different manufacturers pills DEFINITELY affect the medicinal qualities in MY opinion. True, regulated medicine within the pill 'should' be the same, but the different additives and fillers are processed differently by each individual. Before a thorough lashing, I DO acknowledge this is an ongoing debate not only by patients but with physicians and pharmacies as well.
Could it be some of us have chronic pain and need meds to have any kind of a life? There is a difference between being addicted and being dependent. All pain Doctors now require an evaluation with a phycologist to help identify those just looking for a buzz. I hope you are never in the situation most of us are in, choosing between laying in bed 24/7 or taking meds to have some of a life
I've taken both switching back and forth. Different lots. Different pharmacies. I get no relief whatsoever from Watsons. I've heard several other people say the same. It's supposed to be the same. I can definitely tell a difference.
They have a new Watson 853 pill out, IT IS NO GOOD. They are softer and a tad bit smaller. Check your pills b4 u purchase them, because they're making the same pill same print but no pain relief at all. BE CAREFUL
Watson 853 is indeed a generic for Norco. It contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone.
No listing for WW 2410, sorry.
M 89 is Meloxicam 15mgs, a generic for Mobic. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.
In response to the norco 5 being changed to the 10/325. The 5/325 is smaller because it has more acetaminophen, 500 mg ,compared to the 325 mg. in the smaller pill. The 5mg difference in the hydrocodone would be hard to distinguish by pill size alone.
The 10/325 has 5 more mgs of Codiene and less Tylenol. There is a pill that has even less Tylenol but I'm not sure if it has more codiene or not. It's expensive. Forgot the name and it's hard to find I think.
This is the correct answer to your question. Watson labs make the name brand "NORCO". They produce a generic hydrocodone product also. The 10/325 yellow tab. Qualitest also makes a yellow generic tab 10/325. After 30 years of use I still cannot say which I prefer. They are both excellent.
thank you for the info. i dont have insurance and my norcos are costly every month i think i will ask my rx about this see if i can get it cheaper. thanks again
I take hydrocodone 10/500 for my back.i just had screws removed from my leg and they favw me norco apap 10/325.she said it was less tyllenol but doesnt seem to help anymore than the 10/500.is there a reason for this?is there something a bit stronger i could take for my back that i could ask for without the doctor just thinking i just want to get high because that's not the case, thanks.
they do that in the states because people with private insurance get, and their insurance cxompanies get over charged for, the name brands. the insured dont notice because they have a low copay. the generic, although it is the same exact thing, is marketed to the millions of uninsured cash patients at a slightly lower price. that way the poor stay happy and out of pain, rich people get their name brands cheap, and the insurance companies rape everyone, so they never really lose. but the biggest winner is watson, who sells to every market.thats why they do it.
no it is 10/325 same as any other nocro people often say its the best one i how ever never felt any difference ive tried pretty much everyone IP110, 36 01 etc.
