I have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. This was found in 2002. I completed my course of treatment for 6 months. After that I took 2x more. recently I checked again and found it to be a very low level of Vitamin B12. Previously as per my doctor's prescription I used Vitamin B12 With Vitneuron (Glaxo), this combination of B1, B6 & B12 and my levels were recovered very soon after. Now I am searching for this medicine but it's not available in the market and out of stock. I contacted Glaxo customer support and was told that this product stopped being produced over 2 years ago; no more production. Now I am looking for other alternatives and advice. Thanks.

Best regards.

There are many B12 supplements available, both via prescription and over the counter, your doctor should be able to suggest the appropriate one to help you. Though the FDA does warn that they may cause nausea, in some people that take them, due to their potency.

As to your levels falling upon occasion, some people just don't adequately store certain vitamins and nutrients, according to NIH reports. After experiencing congestive heart failure over 6 years ago, it was discovered that my body doesn't properly store potassium, so I have to go to extra measures to keep mine at a safe level. Your levels might stay safer, if you research which foods contain relatively high levels of B12 and make sure that you eat some of them a few times a week.

Some that are listed being good sources are beef liver, beef, tuna, raw cheese, raw milk, lamb, and cottage cheese.

Does anyone else have any suggestions or ideas that may help?
