Do you contribute the zooming effect to the Viibryd? I too have this in the mornings, but It started before the Viibryd. Since you posted have you found the solution? ThanksOSCAH

Maybe your one of the lucky ones, but in case you don't know here is a list of the meth. Long term effects on your body. It makes taking Viibryd seem like taking candy.
Brain damage,
Sensation of flesh crawling (formication)
Paranoia, hallucinations, delusions, tension headache
Muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis) which can lead to kidney damage or failure
Death due to stroke, cardiac arrest or elevated body temperature (hyperthermia)

That's exactly what anyone would expect a drug addict to post. It's one thing to respond on the subject of your side effects from Viibryd. That's why this forum is here. But to suggest that a highly illegal, made-in-a-barn, utterly addictive drug like meth that ruins the health and relationships of anyone that uses is the better alternative? Again, the words of a drug addict. You will surely find people who share your scape-goat approach to live on BlueLight.ru . Otherwise, you're better off to save the "logic" for the police that arrest you and the judge that passes sentence.

I stuck through the brain zaps (only hd a few), the mudbutt (quite a lot)lol, and the mild joint pain, but I HAVEN'T FELT THIS FABULOUS since I was a kid! I have bipolr/depression/2 yr clean recovering RX opiate addict. I LOVE VIIBRYD!!!!! And my doc gives me lots of samples, havent had to buy it yet! I must admit though that if i forget to take it, I feel like the owrld is ging to surely end, oh, and DO NOT TAKE IT BEFORE BED - really effed up nightmares. anyways...LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I am 42 year old female. Due to thyroid problems my depression is bad. I've been on ,Lexapro, Zoloft, and now 150 mg of Effexor. A few weeks ago my doctor added Viibryd to try as a "gooser" to the Effexor. I just started the 20 mg last week. Thursday I started with a headache. Then I went to very lightheadedness. Dizzy. Vomited one time. This is Sunday and I am still lightheaded. Could this be a side effect of the Viibryd?

I dream a lot as well but have only had one nightmare. I flip flop all night but I know I am sleeping more sound because i too have been told I have been snoring. Im going try sleeping on either side rather than back.

Viibryd was poison to me by the 5th month I felt I was going to die from serotonin poisoning. I quit immediately and yes pain everywhere and very strong brain zaps. I am now on Lexapro and wellbutrin and am doing great with non of those tortures. This is not a wonder drug at all, it can potentially kill you and should not be on the market at all. You will see someone will be greatly hurt by Viibryd.

Hello all - first time poster. Male 45 y.o. Depression and anxiety. Have been on Paxil, Effexor and Wellbutrin in the past - but couldn't deal with the weight gain or sexual side effects. Last Sept. my doctor start me on Prestiq. Typical side effects early on of lack of sleep, low energy, etc. No real gains from it - still felt the same "blah". The sexual side effects didn't kick in until March. That was it time to stop. Dr. has now provide the starter pack for Viibryd. I've stuck with most of the meds my Dr. has prescribed and all side effects, but three days in and ready to punt Viibryd. Terrible joint pain - knees and shoulders, nightmares (I really recall dreaming prior to this) headaches, blurry vision, feeling bloated and weight gain and loss of memory. Surprising how quickly it's taken it's toll on me, but not worth sticking it out. There's got to be better options.

I'm off viibryd about 1 month. All I can say is its was quite a nightmare while on viibryd, the side effects were out of control. For me it was a very poor choice of drugs. I still have t stomach issues and joint pains that I hope will get better with time. Good luck to the rest of you.

I was on Viibryd for about 4 months. I have to say on 40mg I was very "mellow". I reduced my dose to 20 and then 10 due to prolonged climax. I also started to experience lower extremity muscle soreness. 20 and 10 did not work as well as 40, mood wise. I stopped and started Zoloft 50mg. I love it. No sexual side effects. 50 seems to be enough. Sleeping good. I hope it stays and 50 is enough. My issue even more than traditional depression has been easily agitated, anxious and "sour" as i call it. Yeah, Viibryd seems like a little too much for some.

I have been off the Viibryd now for 3 months and still have the joint pain and hard to walk. Like I said before, I would not recommend anyone to take this medication.

The zooming has still not gone away completely even three months later. My joints are painful. I still have hallucinations and nightmares on falling asleep and waking up unless I take ambien. I'm still dizzy. I tried switching to Lamictal alone after this misadventure but it did nothing except make me tired- I have run of the mill depression, not bipolar disorder- and I'm now just on St.John's Wort, fish oil 1,000 mg three times a day, a lot of exercise, a great diet, and stress reduction and therapy. I'm staying away from any pharmaceutical without some time on the market from now on.

It's so sad that a drug that's was meant to help so many has turned out so awful for some. I am now off Viibryd for close to 2 months and feel like I aged 20 years. All my muscles throughout my body ache especially my legs. I have no energy and I feel like I should crawl under a rock. I'm hoping it will get better.

At least your "MD" (I use that term loosely now) admitted he was wrong...finally. My psych never did admit fault in prescribing Viibryd aka POISON and just terminated me from his practice when I was feeling suicidal and panicky, looking for help with this horrific medicine. I was forced to wean myself off from my 40mg dose. It was such hell and nobody around me could understand. I just wanted to die. The doctors who continue to hand this out like candy and the manufacturers should be held responsible for their actions. If you're on this please find help to get off this poison!

I have been on Viibryd for a year. It was my saving grace for about 3 months and then I started to loose energy. Didn't bother me enough to quit. But now that I look back I realize that my frequent headaches have been going on for almost a year. The brain zap has been going on since last June. And to best explain what it feels like is to watch Battleship- when the aliens send out the balls, the sound it makes, like grinding and electric buzz. But this sound is a million times louder and vibrates in my head. It vibrates my vision too. These zaps last anywhere from a few seconds to a minute. I've had nights where it kept happening for hours. I have also become confrontational and agitated very easily.

I've only been on it for 3 weeks.... initially very mild diarrhea... however, have put on 10 lbs. My stomach is so bloated I look 6 months pregnant... I feel my mental health is improving, but won't be if my stomach gets any bigger and I go up another size every month... also a big sweet tooth... crazy!

It doesn't get better. Side effects stick around. I'm off of it completely and still suffer. Get off while you can.

I agree with you the side effects will not leave, I hope this is not permanent. I stopped the RA medicine d/t side effect's and I still think this is all from the Viibryd. I really don't think I have RA.
