Viibryd was poison to me by the 5th month I felt I was going to die from serotonin poisoning. I quit immediately and yes pain everywhere and very strong brain zaps. I am now on Lexapro and wellbutrin and am doing great with non of those tortures. This is not a wonder drug at all, it can potentially kill you and should not be on the market at all. You will see someone will be greatly hurt by Viibryd.

53 yr old female. Starting my 4th week of the starter pack today. Had been on a combo of Cymbalta 60 mg/Lamictal 300mg daily for years for diagnosed Type II Bipolar. Told doc i wasn't feeling too evenly happy lately, so she suggested weaning off Cymbalta, continue the Lamictal, and wean onto Viibryd (as she said, the new wonder drug). I have never, ever, been so physically and emotionally sick, EVER. I chalked up the beginning symptoms as Cymbalta withdrawal, but I have so many awful things happening that I seriously considered checking into a mental hospital yesterday, even tho I have no insurance coverage for mental health. I have a dr appointment in an hour from now, and my husband is watching me like a hawk (i am damn lucky). Side effects include: all over extreme body pain, especially in my right shin, both knees, right arm and hand. I didnt sleep for 2 weeks because of nightmares (no halucinations). Crying is beyond uncontrollable, especially in the ams after I take my pill. If someone says something nice to me, i have cried for 2 - 5 hours straight. Now I am feverish, and while not suicidal, have thought about just "going away". I am considering weaning off all meds, cleaning out my body, dealing with my body's own goofiness, and then make a different plan. I wish each and every one of you luck with your journey, and decisions.

I'm with you! This drug made me want to kill myself and also gave me terrible pains, some which still stay with me, almost a year later. After yelling at my psych for giving me this poison, he dropped me as a patient and I had to figure out a way to wean myself off this horrific drug. It was a nightmare and this drug should be taken off the market altogether!!!!

I dream a lot as well but have only had one nightmare. I flip flop all night but I know I am sleeping more sound because i too have been told I have been snoring. Im going try sleeping on either side rather than back.

I am 42 year old female. Due to thyroid problems my depression is bad. I've been on ,Lexapro, Zoloft, and now 150 mg of Effexor. A few weeks ago my doctor added Viibryd to try as a "gooser" to the Effexor. I just started the 20 mg last week. Thursday I started with a headache. Then I went to very lightheadedness. Dizzy. Vomited one time. This is Sunday and I am still lightheaded. Could this be a side effect of the Viibryd?

I am glad love your Viibryd and it was worth the side effects. It was 6 months of hell for me, now i am completely free of it. I still have lingering joint pain, mild brain zaps, stomach issues just to name a few but I feel that the side effects are slowly diminishing. I'm only off Viibryd completely for about a week. I stuck through the brain zaps (only hd a few), the mudbutt (quite a lot)lol, and the mild joint pain, but I HAVEN'T FELT THIS FABULOUS since I was a kid! I have bipolr/depression/2 yr clean recovering RX opiate addict. I LOVE VIIBRYD!!!!! And my doc gives me lots of samples, havent had to buy it yet! I must admit though that if i forget to take it, I feel like the owrld is ging to surely end, oh, and DO NOT TAKE IT BEFORE BED - really effed up nightmares. anyways...LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

My wife tried Viibryd after the cost of Cymbalta became a concern. She was only on Viibryd for a week an started to experience some mild joint and mucle pain from her left sholder to her finger tips. Later as the symptoms worsened in her left arm to the point of causing sleep issues, pain now started to present in her left leg. It got to the degree of sorness, like severe sorness from extreme exersise. At this point it was only about 2 weeks on Viibryd and we decided that she had to stop. Within 10 days all her pain in her left arm was gone, but the pain in her left leg is still there. Its been so bad that her ability to walk has been compromized, she can barely drive her car because it hurts to use the clutch in her toyota. She now has to to go to the doctor to see what our options are for her leg pain. She has to take a trip away from home next week, and we had to get a rental car with an auto because her symtoms in her left leg make it so sore and stiff. We are also getting her a cane to help her walk, because her right hip is getting sore from trying to compensate for her left leg. My wife has had depression for 15 years and she has tried quite a few different drugs over the years, Viibryd by far has had the worst side effects in such a short period of time.

That's exactly what anyone would expect a drug addict to post. It's one thing to respond on the subject of your side effects from Viibryd. That's why this forum is here. But to suggest that a highly illegal, made-in-a-barn, utterly addictive drug like meth that ruins the health and relationships of anyone that uses is the better alternative? Again, the words of a drug addict. You will surely find people who share your scape-goat approach to live on BlueLight.ru . Otherwise, you're better off to save the "logic" for the police that arrest you and the judge that passes sentence.

Maybe your one of the lucky ones, but in case you don't know here is a list of the meth. Long term effects on your body. It makes taking Viibryd seem like taking candy.
Brain damage,
Sensation of flesh crawling (formication)
Paranoia, hallucinations, delusions, tension headache
Muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis) which can lead to kidney damage or failure
Death due to stroke, cardiac arrest or elevated body temperature (hyperthermia)

Actually I was on meth for years with out any side affects and still have my teeth, when I stopped it was very easy and it was not till my fiancé died that the depression came back, but to do the right thing I went to the dr. And yea the drugs they give are by far worse then the meth

I could barely walk as well, I stopped Viibryd immediately when it got that bad and slowly I started walking normal again. Doctors are not always right, infact many times they are guessing and your the guinea pig. Stop the Viibryd and you will get better, find other solutions for depression.BBE

Do you contribute the zooming effect to the Viibryd? I too have this in the mornings, but It started before the Viibryd. Since you posted have you found the solution? ThanksOSCAH

I have been off the Viibryd now over a month and I still can't hardly walk. The doctor's are going to diagnosis me with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This Viibryd is what started this all!

Hmmmm... meth. Why didn't the rest of us think of that? It would be perfect if it weren't for the police raids, severe addiction, ruined teeth, paranoia, catastrophic crash after use, ruined families, living on the streets, stealing from loved ones to get the next fix, and a list of other potentially death-inducing side effects. Diarrhea from using Viibryd is so much worse!

I took vii today at 8 can't stop going to the bathroom!!! Day 1 I think I will stick to self medication (meth) believe it or not it works better then any drug the doc has given me.

i have had depression all my life.im 55. 22 is wen i started meds. panic, social, major,u name it they said i had it. pills,ect,hospitals,5 x trying to kill myself. i hate it ihate it so bad,,,,,it waits for u everywere. its like a plauge. i have 2 wonderful boys i love so much. all i do is hurt them. who could possibly understand this plauge.its not fair. and it never gives up.. im in a class i was impatient at christx. tried to bail out again.never fn works.young people in this class well they stuck me in the rong rm.because the 1 girl said,,,if i keep taking my meds allmonth will i b better......i about s***...no honey u ll never get better...we all should live on our planet called the land of doom...but enough of that,, i am so piss off at this viibryd crap,,, how many times do we have to b there guiny PIGS,,,,,I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN SO MUCH PAIN GETTING OFF SOMETHING IN MY WHOLE LIFE.how about u.my back my elbow my hips i CRY EVERYDAY because of this pain im in. and my stupid shrink tells me he cant give me any pain pills. O EXCUSE ME what are zanx valium colonipin adavan shall i go on. who gives a s*** after taking all that wonderful stuff. im so done with people doing this to us, this has screwed my whole life up i can hardly stand up this pain better go away. it willb4 days tomorrow im off of them. i went 40 20 10 weekly thats what the man said but im still crying and still in much pain..

I had a lot of the same issues....night sweats, nightmares but overall my mood and energy level increased! The pharmacist suggested taking the pill in the am. This made all the difference! I have regular dreams, only occasional times where I wake up startled but not enough to abandon the drug. I keep it in a location where i CANNOT forget to take it -doing can have horrible consequences!

I was on Viibryd for 5.5 months and ignored all the joint and muscle pain but by the 5th month I was practically crippled. I stopped it immediately and my body improved. I still seem to get brain zaps despite that I have been off it now for about 3 months. Most doctors have not a clue what this medication does to people.
