Ok, so heres my experience with viibryde.

I've gone on it about a month + 1week now. My doctor gave me more sample pills so I have about 3 more months to go. (Thankfully the cost is not on me)
The first few days with the 10mg was fine. Nothing out of the normal. No side effects whatsoever. About the 2nd week of 10mg to the mid of 20mg, started the headaches. I am usually prone to migraines so it wasnt much of a difference that what I usually got. Except the fact that it lasted for the first half of the day, provided that I took the pills around 8pm an hour after dinner.
By the time I went to the 40mg, the headaches had subsided a little. During the last week of the 40mg, there was no headache, altho I did have tiny brain zaps. It wasnt bad but it was a little obnoxious and helpful to remind me to take my pills then.
Now the fun part.
I ran out of the pills before the doctor gave me my 3 month supply. I went without viibryde for just ONE day. That night the brain zaps were not brain 'ZAPs'. They felt like brain electrocutions for several seconds at a time i thought my eardrums would pop if i wasnt careful. It was both scary and an amazing experience I never had and probably never want again... A couple times my whole body kind of got numb and paralyzed, I literally had to fight myself to move a limb and get movement back, could feel the tips of my hands all prickly with the electricity like feeling (I was laying on the bed trying to sleep) I had brain zaps as a child from time to time, without medication so i figured this was just an extreme form of withdrawl. I slept it off, and had the most vivid dreamish nightmare I ever had. I ended up enjoying that sensation because it was like a virtual reality. Wouldnt mind having that again. The next morning I felt like i was walking on a rocking boat. Weird but not a big deal. Its been a week since then and I still feel like im on a rocking boat. Again, its a tad annoying but not a huge deal so far.
The med itself i think has been helping me thus far. My irritation outbursts are shorter definately. Libido not so much. But my main goal was to get my body functional enough to go back to work, and right now i am. So far im satisfied, and when the time comes I know better how to ween off the meds slowly.

My partner of 36 years, went to a gentle, occasional Italian hardhead, to a psychotic, angry, want to kill the world, mad man.

Have others experienced incredible spikes in a persons anger.

He is off the stuff for about 3 weeks now and has became his "normal" self again.

Vibrid Is The worst medicine I have ever experienced in my life from the Brain Zaps that I still have after being off of it for over a month to the being so angry at the world . It turned me into the meanest awful person you can imagine in 72 hours . I started off with the starter pack then I made it for almost 15 days taking the 40 mg pills . After calling an leaving message after message with the receptionist finally my Dr got my message that I left on a Sunday crying an begging for help he called me an had me come in on a Monday an apologized for his receptionist not giving him my messages . My legs hurt so bad an the Brain Zaps an the Anger from this drug is SO BAD now everyone I talk to about it says how bad it is . I'm trying to fix a marriage that this Drug caused me to act like the devil ,,,, An the BRAIN ZAPS I'm still having after stopping it

I was on Viibryd for just 3 weeks- 1 week on 10, 1 week on 20, 1 week on 40- vision was screwed up the the three weeks. I came off it- it's 2 weeks later and my eyes are still bad- they have not gone back to normal. The company wont give me infor- I don't know if this is permanent. FDA can't help either

I have been off of it now for 3 months and I am still having inflammation in some of my joints.... Do you think eventually we will be free of this joint pain? I am still taking prednisone for the inflammation (20mg) and it helps some. When I try to come off of the steroids it really flares up! This is the oddest most frustrating thing I have ever experienced! No answers to any of this as no one knows! And well the pharm co will not give any info at all!!
Everyone that has had problems with this medication please report it!!! We need this off the market!

Thank You Dave!!! That was what I needed to hear. I felt so happy with the energy. But now will the tiredness I really don't feel any different than I did before I started the meds...kind of back to square one. UGH! I will definitely speak with my doctor about the med you mentioned. I was hoping someone could give me a suggestion. You're awesome!

I've been on Viibryd since September. I started slowly, 10mg, 2 weeks later, 15 mg, and so on up to 20 mg. I have never in my life experienced such bad side effects from a drug, headaches, nausea, increased anxiety, dry mouth, tingling in tongue and lips, numbness in face, bad dreams, insomnia. After three months of giving this mediation a try that was suppose to be so wonderful, I have finally gradually tapered off and today took my last 5 mg. I'm hoping that the coming week is not awful with any withdrawals. My doctor decided he didn't want to put me on anything new/different right now(though I have tried pretty much everything). I looked at him like he was crazy. I've only been on antidepressant/anti-anxiety meds for 12 years. I'm not sure what he's thinking but I'm going to trust him for now. In the meantime, he told me to take Xanax if I'm feeling anxious though I am concerned of getting addicted to this medicine. Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend Viibryd to anyone and wonder why so my doctors are prescribing it as I have found very few people with positive results.

I had such a horrific experience with this medication that I will be forever terrified of taking meds, which I CANNOT go without due to severe bouts with depression. Once I got this stuff out of my system I had a physician that was very sympathetic about my absolute terror of taking pills again. He now has me on a regime that is working extremely well...Viibryd is the devil.

This medication kicked my butt after approx. 5 months of use. If anything it increased my depression! Major joint pain, especially in my knees. Stomach pain and constant diarrhea. Ring in my ears. I did not ecperience the "brain zaps", thank goodness. I totally freaked out on this medication and just stopped taking it about three weeks ago. The first week and a half I had very few withdrawal symptoms,. My joint pain continues and the ringing in my ears continues. I am hopeful these symptoms will stop, as after being on antidepressants for 20 years I am afraid to take anthing!

Honestly, this drug has been very helpful for me. I started taking it in late August of 2013 and have been taking 40mg since ramping up from the starter pack. Before starting the drug, I was extremely depressed, had withdrew socially from all my friends, had no energy to speak of, and sporadically dealt with thoughts of suicide. I have been on and off several anti-depressants over the last three years or so, including Wellbutrin, Zoloft, Lexapro, and Effexor, and I have to say this is the one that's made me feel like, well, myself again. Effexor made me extremely manic, and the rest didn't seem to help me at all. With Viibryd, I'm pretty level headed. The side effects I've experienced have been pretty standard... some minor GI issues, crazy dreams, oh and it takes forever to get off, which isn't always a bad thing. The worst part I'd say is missing a dose. If I miss by more than a couple hours I feel like I've been ran over by a bus, but so long as I remember, all is well.

I too went off Viibryd ct......what a mistake!! I have had 90% of all the side effects here, unbelievable after taking 40mg daily for 4 months. The withdrawal is the worst! and I have withdrawn from Paxil in the past! Viibryd worked well for the first month (anxiety), then I stared getting dizzy and my memory was TERRIBLE!
