I would say that when another second anti depressant is joined along with the first one, there can be some extra tricky symptoms that drs are not even able to fully evaluate. Normally, drugs are not tested very much with other drug interactions. It can be trial and error. It is usually much better to let one drug do its max best before jumping to a second one to take. Barbie--may i ask how the wellbutrin made you feel?? I have never been on anything other than pristiq (which i've stopped) and seroquel (just upped from 150 to 200 mg.) and, now, for a few months, viibryd--10, 20, 40 and now steady on 40--which seems to be okay. This is the extent of my experience with antidepressants, which i was absolutely against until i felt i'd try ANYTHING that might help. Anyone else have a similar experience??

So I have been on Viibryd since last may. 10 to 20 to 40mg then down to 30 then 20mg. Have a life changing event in January and my anxiety was out of control for 6 weeks. Lost way too much weight too. My dr. Added Wellbutrin to my vi. After 8 days I hated the way I felt on the Wellbutrin. Stopped taking it and just up my dose of vi back to 40 for the 3rd time. Now I feel really great. Wish I did this back in January so I wasn't sick with anxiety for so long. Took 10 months of adjusting my dose and now I am doing very very well :)

Are you taking any other meds? Afew years ago the same thing happened to me. It ended up being caused from the Lexapro I was combined with an over the counter nasal decongestant.

Okay, nice to hear you are falling into the normal response and effectiveness catagory with Vii. I am now 11 months and doing very well with 30mg of Vii. My shrink lately said to take extra Vit D and Bcomplex as those can help with depressions. Find out if that is a good idea for you to follow from your own doctor.

i do not take wellbutrin--i do take 150mg. or seroquel at night (three hours before sleep), soon to be upped to 200mg. i was fine on the 10mg. and 20mg. of vybriid, but i did notice the first couple days of 40mg. i found myself a bit 'spacey feeling' which soon went away. i was switched from pristiq to vybriid recently as the pristiq was causing a slight but noticeable mania in the evening. now, i've been on 40mg. for over a month and it is fine...

Please hang in there. I had the same side effects but if you can hang in there for a about 3 more weeks, you will start to improve. I've been on Viibryd for about 5 months or so and feel better than I have in a very long time. The first 3 months were awful!! HANG IN THERE!

I have had nightmares if I forgot a dose or if I napped and didn't take viibryd at the same time as the day before. There are some wicked side effects w/ Viibryd but I have to say that the positives outweigh the negative.

I have been on Vii since May. Best SSRI by far for me. Was on Pax, Lex and a couple of others. I am on 30 mg. That is working fine. Only gripe is that maybe it makes me less active or interested in certain things, that is, maybe too calming and downing for someone like me that had to deal with GAD as my main issue, That is Gen Anx Disorder. I really had minimal sides at begining and now. As for sex, age 63 and not sure what affect it has in final analysis for my age, except less motivated to seek it. Lex was a certain climax killer and never got over how it stopped that. I rx this drug to all that are needing help with an SSRI.

Tinki .all medications work different and if you were on another one that didn't have the sides. Why would you get off that. Guys you can't drink on this stuff like a glass of wine maybe one beer that's it. I was on lexapro two years and gained weight and had the hardest time climaxing. most of the time couldn't get it even going. I have been on this med for two weeks and my dr is holding me at the 20 mg and thinks that's all I will need already getting me out of the funk I have been in after major surges and getting off pain meds. Got to eat with viibryd and I take it at 6 pm. Anyway a lot less sides than lex.

I'm taking 40mg every morning. I have been since last summer. Every morning I still wake up blue. It eases about 1 hour after taking in the am. Is this normal? I was taking Cymbalta..............it's awful when you are coming off this drug. Don't take it.

viibryd for about 2 months I hate it, its makes me nausea all day long my stomach pains are insane and I cant sleep not to mention the headaches , hate the way I feel already called my dr they dont open till 9 uggh I did see another dr yesterday mine was not working she couldcareless she said just wait a few months the side offects will go away thats crazy !!

Since starting viibryd,my hair looks terrible...getting a bald spot in front. Hair is coming out at an alarming rate...also I am having significant blurring of my vision. Talk to me guys! How many of you out there are having these side effects with vii?

Never had those symptoms and have not seen similar complaints since been here posting since last May. The hair loss is coming from something, and maybe Vii. But it can be strictly nerves too. Sugar is a killer anyway for many people, can trigger Diabetes Type Two which you do not want to have triggered. Got to stay away with most possible from sweets. Got to take more protein and fiber and low cal foods. It is very serious business to get well with Depression/Anxiety and not let that condition get the best of you. I suffered a lot and fought this battle to the max and have been winning for the first time in years. Vii has been a lifesaver for me. Now, the next thing for me is that I want to go off of it later this year, but I know my Dr will disagree. Wants me to be on it for 3-5 years. That is hard to swallow as required, but I will keep an open mind.

Been on Vii for 8 months, and never had hunger or much side effects. Taking 30mg. With all SSRIs takes strongest possible discipline to control food intake. Must measure and count calories plus some exercise too. Really mandatory to avoid weight creep. People stop the important med because of weight creep. That is unfortunate. As for booze, one drink, two max, otherwise, you will have side effects and feel something is wrong with faculties and nerves, etc. Hope this helps.

I've been on Viibryd since November. Since then I've been addicted to sugar..Nov..skittles, Dec...red velvet cake and Jan...pbj's..lol I'm done with the sweets. Tonight I noticed that I have a quarter size bald spot in my hair. I'm a cosmetologist student, so I know medication affects your entire body including your hair. The medication does help with anxiety and you have alot of energy, but it's not work the side effects. I will be getting winged off of Viibryd asap. Does anyone else have the same issue?

I am on the 4th day of Viibyrd and i have been eating like crazy! i am getting married in 2 and 1/2 mos and cannot afford to gain any weight. I also want to be able to socially drink at my bachelorette party and wedding HELP!

I was looking back at some of the earlier posts and was reading to see the SE. I saw that someone else had this same problem. I have had GI issues with this med and have noticed my hair thinning and breaking off at the root. I take 300 mg of Wellbutrin XL and Topamax. I have also had SSE. Other than that it has helped with depression and anxiety. Lol

Not sure who you are talking to, but I didn't have hair problems cause of the V.....I had/have hair problems cause of my thyroid.....Hope it gets better!! I still love this med!!!
