My mother out her vicodin in are ibprofuin bottle to hide from family members. a total of about five pills.I think I may have drink drink and some of them thinking they where ibprofuins. and I'm a pain contract I take oxy cotton an oxy code own today I had a urine analysis. and I think I may have taken those vicodins on Friday and Saturday was just wondering if those would be out of my system by today it truly was an honest mistake but explaining that to my doctor probably won't be believable. worried patients pain contract ## i took one Vicodin 10mg at 9 pm last night not thinking that i may have a PM appointment on Monday at 12 pm .. that was the first time i ever had Vicodin in over 2 months

What is difference in ingredients between Hydrocodone and Vicodin? I am trying to find out what is stronger: Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 10 325 or are Vicodin 500 tablets stronger? ## Hi Viv, To answer your question I first need to explain that Vicodin actually contains both Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen as the active ingredients. So in your comparison, both drugs contain the same active ingredients, just in different doses. Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 10 325 is a generic for Norco containing Hydrocodone 10mg and Acetaminophen 325mg. Vicodin 500 contains Hydrocodone 5mg and Acetaminophen 500mg. So the generic Norco which you have contains twice as much Hydrocodone (the opioid ingredient) but less Acetaminophen than the Vicodin. I just moved near Augusta GA and im in desperate need of a doctor who is willing to prescribe opiate pain medicine. I was used to taking 10mg vicodin or Norco 7.5 before i moved. Since I only suffer from terrible migraines and moderate back pain the docs here only offered Tylenol 3 which isn't helping much at all so Any help would be so appreciated!

My primary Dr only allows 1 pill 5mg - twice per day for a year. I need doulble that to control back pain. ## I need Pain killers for a lower back slipped disc and current doctor only offers one 5 mg pill twice daily that does nothing. If your child has these pills you have a serious problem if they were not prescribed by a Dr. They should only be used under medical supervision . ## That is correct, Harold! I just picked up a new prescription of vicodin from the pharmacy a week ago and i've taken four. The rx was for 60 and i counted three times and the count keeps coming up to 40. I noticed my neighbor when I visit or outside working always offers to fetch things for me in my house. I have fibromyalgia and I have two tears in my rotator cuff. I try not to take them but sometimes the pain can be unbelievable. I am on a lot of medication and I even noticed my adderall coming up short. I would like to make sure before I confront her. I know that she has her own rx but when she gets them she has said that she sells hers. The pill looks like a vicodin. It's coated and has nothing on one side. The other side has #44175 on it.... Can someone tell me if it is a lortab or hydrocodone? ## No, it is not. This is actually an over the counter medication that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic, or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You are wrong this was out before the manufacturer changed and was bought out thus changing the pill to acetaminophen only, witch btw the pill in reference is blank on one side.

I had surgery and was given Valium as well as codeine for the pain. Only took codeine for a day or so and last time I took Valium was yesterday -- in total for less than a week. I am wanting to begin my contrave prescription but want to make sure there are no contraindications as I know Valium has quite a long half-life and am concerned about mixing chemicals in my body. Suggestions as to how long I need to wait before I start would be appreciated . Trying to substitute 20mg oxycodone 3x a day with vicodin. How many vicodin a day would equal? ## Hello, Cici! How are you? You should not take more than your doctor has prescribed. The ratio, however, would be 30mgs of the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin to each 20mgs of Oxycodone. The problem is the Acetaminophen that is also in Vicodin, it is dangerous to take too much of it in any 24 hour period. Thus, if the current dose you've been prescribed of Vicodin does not help you, it would be much safer to speak to your doctor about adjusting your dosage, or trying a different medication. I suggest you see a doctor ASAP! ## Shelly, the Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Tylex-CD contains Acetaminophen and Codeine and the Lertus--CD is llisted as containing Diclofenac and Codeine, so these are all different medications. Wondering how long Vicodin stays in your system. I have a Rx of Vic's for 5/325. They r the vintage Qualitest brand. What I find odd is they r oblong white with little pink speck in them. ## That is just something that was done to help distinguish their pills from the others that are on the market, they are just added specks of color and nothing to worry about. These pills look like they might be really old. They are huge not like other pain meda. So i just wanted to make sure they are not to old. ## I got a few of these to scared to take because I've never seen a Vicodin that looked like this and with all fake stuff going around but did u find out if this was real or not ## According to another discussion thread here, these are rumored to be generic vicodin with a dosage of 5/500mg.
