Have been on Vicodin 5mg and Tylenol 4 for years. My doctor's office is closing down and I must find another. Feeling very stressed!!!! ## Hi! I'm very sorry that you're stressed and having to deal with this issue. However, if your doctor's office is still open for the time being, the best way to ease the transition for yourself would be to ask them to refer you to a new doctor. There have been a lot of issues on the east coast with doctors being restricted on prescribing such medications, so finding one on your own is likely to be troublesome. Have they recommended anyone, at all? Do you see a general practitioner or a pain specialist?

Vicodin dated disregard after 2011 is if expired ## Once they have been removed from the original factory sealed container and dispensed to you in a pharmacy container, which exposes them to the elements, the expiration date is on year from when you receive them. They don't get dangerous once expired, but they do start to lose effectiveness. After several years, they are likely worthless and you should just properly dispose of them. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I have been on vicodin off and on for years w/legitimate prescriptions due to pain associated w/an accident. What i have noticed is that my productivity and organizational skills are off the chart. I can accomplish more chores,in 1 day than i can in a month w/out it. i dont know what is happening, but if an antidepressant gave me half the motivation and sense of well being that vicodin does i literally would be a new man. I have been on every anti depressant, mood stabilizer, etc. over the last 15 years its pathetic. If i could use vicodin instead there is no telling the things i could acc omplish w/ no awful side effects that accompany anti depressants. Someone please tell me whats going on. Please!!! ## Hi, Larry! Narcotic opiates can cause this in some people that take them. There ar...

white w/ one side a ''p w/ a triangle above it'', and on the other side it says ''014'' ## Is this vicodin, or a generic equivalent? ## NO, THIS IS NOT VICODIN! That logo is actually supposed to be an AP, and this is nothing more than Acetaminophen 500mgs, a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol. Just because a pill has a V or something that looks like it on there, does not mean it is Vicodin. The imprint does not have anything to do with the ingredients, it is just the drug company logo. ## I found a pill that my husband got from his sister for his knee pain but not sure what it is, it is white & oval with a triangle without the line at the bottom to close the triangle & a P between the center of the triangle is is somewhat flat with a...

It has 7.5 mgs hydrocodone & tylenol ## HI, Amy! How are you? Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so it's a narcotic pain reliever. Thus it has the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness. Learn more Vicodin details here. However, Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant that's used to treat the pain associated with muscle sprains, strains and spasms. Its side effects may include nausea, headache, dry mouth and drowsiness. Which dosage of Vicodin is the most effective or strongest? My family physician put me on 5/500, but my surgeon has put me on 7.5/325. Is one supposed to do more then the other one? ## Hi marie, Vicodin 5/500 contains (5 mg) of Hydrocodone and (500 mg) of Acetaminophen; Vicodin 7.5/325 contains (7 mg) of Hydrocodone and (325 mg) of Acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is the narcotic pain reliever and is much stronger than Acetaminophen-which is included to increase the effects of the narcotic. That being said, I believe that the surgeon gave you a somewhat stronger dose since 7.5/325 contains (2.5 mg) more of the narcotic than 5/500. Medication effects each individual differently however. The surgeon may have given you a dose with less Acetaminophen seeing as it can be very damaging to the liver...

Can I take different pills together,as long as they are hydros or vicodin ## Hi betty lou, I have identified pill imprint M365 as Acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate- It contains (325 mg) of Acetaminophen and (5 mg) of Hydrocodone. The closest match I've identified in regards to pill imprint M368 is a white pill with the imprint M363; it contains (500 mg) of Acetaminophen and (10 mg) of Hydrocodone. Both pills are manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. Based on my research, Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone combinations with 5 mg of hydrocodone are given 1 to 2 doses every 4 to 6 hours, up to 8 doses per day. Combinations that contain (7.5 mg) or (10 mg) of hydrocodone are given once every 4 to 6 hours, up to 5 or 6 doses per day (depend...

This is a generic for Vicodin, which is a narcotic pain reliever, so it does have the potential to be habit forming and can cause some side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more Vicodin details here. And before continuing to take an additional half of a tablet, she should consult her doctor. The Acetaminophen in this can be toxic, if too much is taken in any 24 hour period, so she does need to be careful with it. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Vicodin ES ## Hello, The generic for any Vicodin would be a combination of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. I have found a generic Vicodin from Watson laboratories that contains (750 mg) of Acetaminophen and (7.5 mg) of Hydrocodone-just like the Vicodin ES. It is a white elliptical/oval pill with the imprint WATSON 387 on the front and a score/line on the back. Also- Just in case you're not aware- if a medication is in generic form, it is permitted by the FDA to be allowed to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient. There may be 1 pill with 100% of the active ingredient, but the rest may be a lot weaker. pink with the #3600 on it oval shaped and a V on the other side. ## Yes pill with 3600 V is Acetaminophen 500 mg + Hydrocodone 10 mg ## A note that needs to be added here is that as of 2013, the FDA has made a request that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination prescription products to no more than 325mgs per dose. There are major concerns about the dangers of liver damage and failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, as well as the toxicity of overdose. Some manufacturers have already begun to implement the change and the rest are expected to have it completed by January of 2014. Thus, in the future, please double check and don't just assume that these tablets still contain 500mgs of Acetaminophen. Learn mo...
