Unfair Insane Methadone Clinic Detox (Page 8)

I have been a patient at compdrugs methadone clinic for 5 years. Never had dirty urines. I got 1 dirty 20 days ago and they took my dose from 185mg to 100 to nothing. 3 days. Is this legal and do I have a chance of fighting it. The doc. Dr. Alvin Pelt. is god at the clinic. Any ideas on what I can do would be welcome. Hopefully i can figure somethisg out b4 I blow my head off. Anyone out there whos gone thru a methadone withdrawal understands. Thanks all.

I prayed FERVENTLY AND I AM METHADONE FREE 3 MTHS.NOW NO PAIN MEDS,HEROIN,SUBOXEN ETC...I COULDN'T PAY ANYMORE AND I JUST SAID LORD JESUS FATHER GOD HOLY SPIRIT I KNOW I'M NOT WORTHY BUT,YOU SAID YOU CAME TO DELIVER THOSE IN BONDAGE AND THE WORLD HAS REJECTED,PUT DOWN GAVE UP ON ETC...OK I'M GOING TO NEED YOUR HELP IN A MAJOR,REAL POWERFUL WAY NO HUMAN SHOULD HAVE THAT MUCH CONTROL OVER ANOTHER HUMANS LIFE WHEN WE ARE ALL NOTHING WITHOUT YOU HAVE NOTHING WITHOUT YOU SO I WANT MY LIFE BACK AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE WHO DID IT FOR ME JUST GUIDE ME TO THE RIGHT THINGS I WILL NEED AND BE MY STRENGTH AND I FEEL LIKE A NEW BORN BABY NO MORE DOPE TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!

Some clinics want to keep as high as they can because it's job security! I am just finding out just how shady the clinic my sister goes to is. It would shock you just how negligent this place is . I have been taking her everyday for the past three weeks , it took me 3 weeks to get an appointment with the director after my sister signed a consent form. I am trying to help my sister and am getting nothing but resistance from this place! How do I file a complaint?

What state do you live in? if your in California ...then that's 100% illegal. They can partially drop your dose for a dirty but not take you to 0 and as soon as the drop was applied two days later you'd be increased by 15-20 mg until you reach your original dose.. usually dirtys only get take homes taken away ...I think that's horrible they did that to you...it must have been horrible. I can only imagine the withdrawl

I know it has been 5 years since this post, but my God your crap must smell like roses, because the way you are talking, you are perfect. Get over yourself. I'm on 135 mg and will continue to increase until I feel like my mind us clear enough to work on myself. Never had a dirty UA in the two years I've been going, but that doesn't give me out ESPECIALLY an i**** like you to judge someone else. It's not up to you and your holier than thou attitude to decide what is right for anyone else. Im quite sure that person is well aware that they would need to taper down to come off of methadone and never expected to be in the situation they found themself in. So to others who might be going through something similar, ignore the i**** who thinks they know everything. Contact the DEA and any other agencies that your state's methadone clinic would report to and please please use good judgement and be careful.

I say they (those f***head self riotous people that just have to control others) REALLY NEED to experience extreme pain on a chronic basis then they might understand unless they are just into feeling pain. I once offered to help my doctor understand my pain by telling him if I were to hit him upside the head with a cast-iron skillet he might "GET IT" then. THE BEST Dr I ever had was DR. ROLAND REINHARDT a Pain Management Specialist in Rancho Mirage, California. I miss him and his fantastic staff SOO MUCH. Tucson, Arizona Sucks without private insurance, government Doctors don't give a s*** if your suffering day after day. I don't care what it takes (drug wise) I will not suffer one f***ing minute. i don't have to for anything or anyone. Diss-ban the DEA (thanks a lot X-President R. Nixon) and LIVE AND LET LIVE....

Most people are drug addicts because and this is a fact you can look up is due to chem imbalance in their brain or due to past traumatic experience is this also his fault. Know something about what you are saying beforr you run your hotdog sucker

I'm on day 14 coming off of methadone cold turkey I had a hundred and ninety five milligrams and this s*** is brutal, this is the worst of it is between 12 and 17 days we will see I can't f***ing take this s*** much longer, What you need is the Thomas recipe, a lot of xaxax, Klonipin, any type of benzo you can get your hands on, then your going to need something like neurontin, or gabapentin to help with the restless legs, then if you can get access to Kratom GET IT! It will take almost all the withdraw symptoms away, but stay on it for at least a month or two because that's how long it takes to detox off of methadone! Just do your research on the kratom, because different ones work for different people, but in my opinion, the red vein or red Bali works the best! Hope this helps!

Methadone is a legal replacement for other drugs. I guess if the place is operated correctly there may be a chance of getting off drugs. My son's experience was not a good one any time he asked for an increase he got it this continued for months and he eventually needed more and was getting it elsewhere also. I believe these facilities set their clients up for failure. I thought doctors took a oath to do no harm, that is a joke. This is criminal!!!!!!! It is about the money.

You have to be kidding me man, so you were on everything in the book. Bro that's your f***ing opinion. Also f*** suboxone, I had tried it and was prescribed it several different times with no help. Hearing the horror stories of methadone I kept not going to the clinic. I started going to years ago, and although subs might work for some, methadone saved my life and restored my will to live. Each Addict is different and when the doctor told me there was a such thing as a therapeutic dose, I said no disrespect but thats bulls*** and doc if you were a junkie you would understand. So I tried it, got up to 150 and my blood test showed I was at what is considered a therapeutic level. I stay for a year like that an am now coming down comfortably. The clinic sucks because they usually treat you like you are lined up at auschwitz. If you get the nurses and counselors that are well established in recovery it sucks, as much as they try not to they look at you as a junkie or just that there better. I wish it was required that the counselors be in recovery, I understand the dosing nurses should probably not be past users. Methadone has saved my life and helped more than anything else I've tried. I'm so thankful, thank God I have Insurance because without its 15 bucks a day. Out here in Appleton Wisconsin there is know help for folks trying to get right, besides na which is a blessing to all addicts but sometimes it's not enough. As far as how long I've been at the clinic, when I started as in other times in my life I told myself I will stay on it forever. I believe for so long I would not be able to live a normal life without a dally dose. After almost 2 years I'm getting off now because I'm truly ready. The other thing I recommend to anyone trying to decide between sub and methadone. The reason the clinic worked so well at first was that I had to go there every day wake up every day, it made me conmit fully and times Pryor on sub the doc would send me home with a scrap, from the pharmacy parking lot to the dope man I went. I was covered by insurance so I seen it as free dope. Also the price of 10 a strip when I lost my insurance killed me. Besides not taking a good s*** since I started, sweating, gaining 65 pounds and always craving sweets. The clinic has really helped me regain a reason to live, it's not being clean but it's better than dead.

I have had the same issues in my state which is Delaware. I have so many complaints Isaac silly book all on record and of course was put into a forced detox for something ridiculous. {edited for privacy}

I am on day 27 of methadone withdraw cold turkey from a nurse on a power trip. I had a dirty ua for marijuana and methamphetamine. The marijuana I admit to but methamphetamine no way! I asked to be re tested and she refused me a second ua. She said go to in patient detox right now and I'll dose you or turn yourself in by 6 tonight and will dose you tomorrow morning. I work two jobs and have no mom or dad or anyone to support me financially so it was detox or no dose. I went to my girlfriend and asked what I should do both of us thinking it would just be like heroin withdrawals we decided I can do it she agreed to help me threw it. Well let me tell you go get help now go to a hospital or detox you should be under 24 hour supervision for at least 3 weeks. My withdrawal didn't start till day 5 from my last dose I felt like my lower spine and back was being stabbed a million times or ripped out of me slowly I begged for death to come that lasted over a week then the leg cramps for a few days can't tell you which was worse then week three severe depression, suicide and homicidal thoughts black out's and extreme anxiety and paranoia. I couldn't drive sleep or even go to the store. I couldn't breath for hours on end and my poor girlfriend of 4 years which has never took drugs was ready to leave. I cocked and put a gun to my head then pointed at her. I don't know what stopped me from pulling the trigger but all I remember is seeing her on the floor crying and realized I had my gun in my hand. It's not your normal detox. I didn't use any illegal drugs to help me, only aleve, Tylenol and ibuprofen. Still having trouble sleeping but I'm a lot better now. I can't say or write it without crying because it's an emotional physical and mental personal hell you go through. It's like being punished for every wrong doing in your life. I gotta say thank you dear Lord Jesus and to my girlfriend who is still here for helping me through. Last I checked the success rate of getting off methadone cold turkey was at 1%. Well today you can make that 2%. Good luck, please don't do it alone and make sure you have someone strong and healthy physically and mentally to help you or restrain you if needed. I recommend you get help from someone that has at least one year of methadone detoxification education. I hope my story can help someone that's going through this methadone detox. I understand. I have been on this one clinic for 6 years. I was taking home 6 bottles per week for 3 years. 6 days ago dr. tells me I don't have any benzodiazipine in my urinalysis test.( I do have a prescription) I don't know why? Dr. takes away all 6 take home bottles & calls my Psychiatrist. Well, I was told I would not get my bottles back because of having no pills in my urine. UNBELIEVABLE!! I am now being detoxed from 55 mg in 9 days. Perfect patient record for 6 years, not even 1 dirty urine test, no write ups or violations.This can not be legal. You cannot detox a person that fast, in your situation or mine. But, where do we turn??

Been on Methadone for about 10 yrs... Been to about 7 different clinics (I move around a lot) Not ONE of these clinics have decent people working at them, these girls (mostly girls work there); are rude, ignorant, and VERY impolite. That is the only thing all clinics have in common. One clinic says "That's the rules made by the College of Physicians" Next clinic ??? New rules.... same s***. Rules by the college!??? Come on A lying Dr??? And not just one. How many times have I been told "Nature of the beast" when it suits the need ...AND THAT IS AT EVERY CLINIC .....Bulls*** liars, over payed dealers...

I feel for you and the torture you went through. I have been about half that bad at one time, but I have seen a friend go through it. Thank GOD you made it. These clinics treat people unfairly, and it is time something gets done about it. Thank you for the words. I think I have now heard the worst story of a methadone detox. We are talking about a drug and protocol that was conceived in the Nixon administration, to minimize the fact that large numbers of soldiers were returning from Vietnam with an opiate habit. So the addiction to the drug with the monster 28 day detox (required for Dolophine), was spawned in DC. They should be responsible for the many soldiers and citizens who were first introduced to methadone on a blind date orchestrated by uncle Sam. Ray H. Puckett, MS.

Go to premier clinic at 1380 dublin granville. You wont have to put up with the bulls*** there. It's great!! 13 bucks a day.

U have to call the Adamh board and tell them in detail wah happened. I go there as well and since Dr Patel became director horrible things are happening to the patients on a large scale. But nobody reports it. If everyone starts reporting these things to adamh action will be taken.
