I have been on the name brand of Protonix since 2000 and it has worked great. My problem started when the generic became available and my insurance company would no longer cover the brand name. The generic medication didn't work at all. I thought it was me, that I became resistant to it. But after talking to the Pfizer nurse (their US Drug Safety Unit) I was told there are bad generic versions of Protonix on the market. I was able to get my insurance company to cover the brand name up until last September 2016. Now they refuse to cover it. There are approximately 17 different generic manufacturers I found on the internet. Has anybody had a generic version of protonix that worked as well as the name brand one? For esophagus and stomach problems ## May I melt the 1 gm Sucralfate tablets in milk or other drink other than water? ## My father uses sucralfate usp, he has got severe hicups. I have been on okeprazole 40mg fr 4 weeks now. My tummy aches and I get dizzy 2 to 3 hrs after eating. Is it safe to take mucosta even if I'm takng omeprazoe 40mg per day? ## Can I take pantoprazole 40 mg po 1 # po daily + Mucosta 100 mg po 1 # po tid simutaneously? I have done tons of research... prevacid or dexilant etc are meant to be taken for about 2 months..... myself and many other people have been on it for years! acid reflux can be caused by TOO LITTLE ACID, so maybe the medication is making it worse, now i am feeling one of the many side effects? (nausea and stomach cramping off and on for last year) or perhaps Apple cider vinegar does neutralize the reflux? I am puzzled and very upset because i was dismissed from the Pain clinic i go to because my urine test came back positive for THC.
