When you have acid reflux it is a classic sign you do not have enough good gut flora in your stomach. See the work on youtube of Dr Joel Wallach. ## There is no 'gut flora' in the stomach. The stomach is incredibly acidic and is designed to kill bacteria in the stomach. While you are correct that acid reflux is a sign of something more serious, and taking acid reflux medication is not a good solution to this problem. And reducing stomach acid can actually allow bacteria to grow in the stomach when it could not before the acid reduction. Taking medications is a 'band aid' that does not solve the problem, but actually makes it worse.

I was prescribed by a doctor to tale proton 40. However i did not understand first the instruction of the pharmacist, all i was able to understan was to tale it BEFORE FOOD.
