Triamt/hctz Is There An Otc For This?

I had open heart surgery in 2000, no problems since. Doc. put me on this medication and won't refill without a office visit ($100 minimum). With rising cost, I have no medical ins. to help me out with the cost of the visit. The meds are only $4 a month, but can't get a script without a office visit. Sad isn't it? It seems that the money pinch will get you somewhere. Please I need to know if there is an over the counter for this medication.

Just go to the free clinic and a doctor will give you a script hey i understand your health insurance problem and i pay taxes so forget being ashamed about the free clinic

Unfortunately, most doctors will not continue to prescribe, without an office visit, because they need to monitor your condition.

As Grady has stated, a free, or sliding fee scale clinic might be your best option. I used one for several years, after having congestive heart failure, to make sure I could still have my needed medications, even though I didn't have insurance at that time. If you are not having any complications, and are stable, then most will see you.

Triamterene with Hydrochlorothiazide may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, hypotension, and dehydration.

As to your question, no there is no over the counter equivalent.
