I used triaminolone 0.1% on my face,it did clear up my face. But, now my face is starting to break out. What can I use to clear up my face? ## Hello, Ree! How are you? Triamcinolone is classified by the FDA as a corticosteroid, which means it can cause acne as a side effect. Thus, it's likely just going to take time for your body to process it, so the breakout stops and clears up. Other side effects may possibly include skin redness, dryness and irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Why is this cream not recommended for application in the groin area? ## Because it hasn't been formulated to be safely used in such areas. It's just like being told not to take it internally, since it may contain ingredients that aren't safe if swallowed. Various areas of the body are more sensitive and require products that are made to be used there. Learn more Triamcinolone details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My daughter, 10 months old, was prescribed this cream for her eczema. Her daycare put the cream all over her private parts and now she is bright red with open sores. Waiting to take her to the doctor. Is this a chemical reaction to the cream?

Can triamcinolone be used when in the sun? If not, is it possible to simply wash off the residue before sun exposure, or is it the drug that gets absorbed the problem? Also, if sun exposure is a problem, how long after I stop using the cream can I spend time in the sun? Thank you. ## Hello, Wolfwoman! How are you? Yes, it can make you more susceptible to the effects of the sun and washing it off won't help, since some is absorbed systemically. If you need to go out in the sub, it's best to be cautious and use clothing and strong sun protection to protect yourself and avoid prolonged exposure, according to the NIH. It may take several weeks, before things return to normal, after your done treating with it. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include skin redness, irrita...

My doctor prescribed triamcinolone acetonide cream,0.1 for a burning sensation in my tongue which I got after getting a bridge done . I have to apply two times a day. I am concern that if will have any bad effect on me?. I paste it on my tongue and it felt like a thick paste and very unpleasant taste. ## Hello, Kitty! How are you doing? Are you sure that you're supposed to be using it in your mouth? This is usually used topically on the skin and not taken internally. Have you consulted your dentist? That might be a better idea to find a solution to this issue.

I went to the doctor for some itchy ness on my vaginal area in February this year and it was Triamcinolone top 0.2% lotion. It went away but it came back now. My question is, is it still good to use? It's been about 4 months since I used it. I'm wondering if it's still good to use because it's still in my cabinet. ## You never used the cream the first time? And no, this is a steroid, so it may not always be appropriate for conditions that can cause vaginal itching. It would be best to have this checked out, to make sure you obtain the correct treatment. Is there anything else I can help with?

what is triam/aqua/mo used for ## With the description provided, I was only able to identify two of the three abbreviations listed as Triamcinolone + Aquaphor. I'm not quite sure what "mo" might stand for. Triamcinolone is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions. Aquaphor is a brand that has a similar use as well, in that it is an over-the-counter (OTC) ointment used as a protective barrier to seal in skin's natural moisture and seal out irritants. Although it is approved for various uses, it is commonly used to treat and prevent diaper rash. You can find the Aquaphor brand on amazon or at your local drug store. Is triam/aqua/mo something you were prescribed by your doctor? ## Yes. It was use...

I was given sulfamethoxazole to treat sinus infection. I developed a rash on my penis. Can i use triamcinolone to treat it? ## The rash that developed is actually listed as a severe side effect of Sulfamethoxazole. Because it is in this category of severe effects, I highly recommend contacting your doctor about switching medications or adjusting the dose appropriately. The rash will eventually go away if you stop the medication (since Sulfamethoxazole is the source of the problem). So using another medication (such as Triamcinolone) to cover it up may not get rid of it completely or at all, while you are still on Sulfamethoxazole. I hope this helps! ## In addition to that you need to be very careful using Triamcinolone. It can cause thinning of the skin, typical of steroids and that is ...

triamicinolone acetonide ## Was perscribed for nose bleeding. ## can i use kenacomb ointment to heal the wound inside my nose for 3 weeks now. thanks ## Hello, Triamcinolone acetonide ointment is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Triamcinolone reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. This medication is a medium- to strong-potency corticosteroid. I have also heard of this being used in the nose for dryness and irritation. To use this medication: Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 2 to 4 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not cover, bandage or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. Use this medication only on the s...

Where can I find in Calgary? ## Hi Suma, From what I could gather, Ledercort (Triamcinolone) may be available in the countries listed below: Taiwan Ethiopia India Japan South Korea Argentina I don't think you can find it in Calgary, unless perhaps you order it online or get it on the street. It is a prescription drug, so you may even need to get a doctor's recommendation first. Have you tried looking under the name Triamcinolone?

I was given this by my dermatologist for poison ivy. So far it is not working. OTC anti-itch is helping. ## How long have you been using it? It is a steroid based cream, so it won't work instantly like some of the other topical ointments do. It will require a few days to start having an effect. Learn more Triamcinolone details here. However, many times, poison ivy will just clear up on its own, as long as you are careful not to scratch and dig at, so it spreads.

i use this cream on my child. i put some on my finger to rub on his body and my finger start itching and a tingle feeling. my finger is now broke out with this white looking substain on my finger itches very bad. ## Did your child's skin break out as well or was it just your finger? It sounds like you may be experiencing an allergic reaction or side effect to the medication. What's odd is that Triamcinolone is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions. Yet one can experience itching, redness, etc, as a side effect of it. presribed for itchy skin ## Hi moe, I am assuming that you are referring to Triamcinolone, as all my searches for "Triam Cetap" show up as this. From what I could gather: "Triamcinolone Cream is a topical corticosteroid and emollient combination. The corticosteroid works by reducing skin inflammation (redness, swelling, itching, and irritation). The emollient moisturizes the skin." do triamcinolone ointment help hair grow? ## This is a corticosteroid, so it will sometimes mess with a person's hormone balance and cause unusual hair growth, but this does not usually last beyond the duration of treatment.
