I have taken Tramadol, manufactured by Apotex, for the past nine months. Together, my neurostimlator and 200 mg. of Tramadol per day helped me to be virtually pain free! I renewed my Tramadol prescription last week and the new prescription says Tramadol, but this time the manufacturer is TEVA. This time, I continue to have pain and it is now the second week, and I am feeling intense pain. It is as if I was not taking any pain medication at all (my stimulator continues to work, but no one is ever promised that a neurostimulator will rid anyone of all pain. I have a friend who was switched to Tramadol from Apotex Manufacturing (the exact one I had for nine months) and is now taking Tramadol manufactured by TEVA. She is finding the same problem; it will not rid her of the pain she suffers....

how long before positive effects? will the shakes, cold sweats, constipation go away? ## Have you spoke to your doctor about this? The constipation is normal, but shakes and cold sweat are not. How high of a dosage are you taking? It may be too much for you or just the wrong medication for you to take. Other normal side effects may include: nausea, dizziness and dry mouth. I sometimes get bad sight but just 1-2 times every 6 months, not a lot. It's like I have fluid in my right eye and cant see well on the right side for about 1 hour, then suddenly my sight comes back. Hearing sounds hurts me. I turn my volume all the way down to 10% cause it's annoying to hear the noise from a tv or radio. I recently started getting tinnitus in my right ear and wonder why? Tinnitus started coming at the same time I started taking vitamin C with rose hip and turmeric and maybe that's not good with tramadol? I have also had issues with alcohol cravings and started taking tramadol for back pain and suddenly cravings for alcohol were gone. I just rec'd 30 of these, but they have NO effect. Tooth/gum pain. Am used to oblong tramadol tablets - which, although weak, have an effect on my pain. Now we're getting these AN 627s. These are like placebos. ## these are the REAL thing, not a placebo. They are the SAME as the oblong tramadol. ## AN 627 does contain 50mgs of Tramadol, however, there can be some differences in generic drugs, so they may not work as well as the others you were getting. ## These don't seem to be as strong as some of the other tramadol I have taken, such as the Mylan. I have never had pain problems until 3 or 4 years ago. I was attacked and it has left with a bad back pain. I never needed surgery but I may need it now since I gained weight and maybe over time it has caused the issue to be worse. It is right above my tail bone or above my butt checks. I don't know if it is from being tense but it is always hurting me to the point I have to take breaks when I am just mopping my small kitchen. Tramadol is what I was given at the time of attack. I had issues getting on government insurance. I need the insurance anyway for mental medication. Problem is I only know of Tramadol of any experience with pain meds. Pramadol - what is this drug? Is it the same as Tramadol? It was prescribed for neck pain and I am unfamiliar with it. ## Hi Betty, Unfortunately I haven't been able to locate any specific details on Pramadol that strike me as being legitimate. The only thing I found was a brief description from what appears to be an illegal web-based pharmacy stating that Pramadol was manufactured in India. That said, I'm leaning towards this being some sort of counterfeit; and am left without any way of knowing if it's actually Tramadol or not. Is anyone familiar with this company's hair follicle testing? Particularly for the oil and gas, and refining industry - What is the standard panel they run on the hair test? What is the cut off level? Have you seen any of the companies that use DISA have a zero tolerance policy where ANY level of drug is considered a failure? Been taking tramadol for over 15 years and it generally still works. My new Dr. has cut me back from using 4 a day to using 3 a day and 1 gabapentin at night. All the gabapentin is doing is making me oversleep every day. I cannot tell that it is helping me. I have tried to get off from tramadol several times but with no success. Each time I try to stop; I am bed ridden for a couple of days. Could you tell me why the Dr. would want to cut me back from tramadol and then try gabapentin? ## No, they are not the same. Can these medications be taken with hydrocodone and Acetaminophen in one for real bad back pain? ## Can they be taken together ? They should not be taken together. Have I mixed them YES. I am having surgery of my shoulder and cannot take any pain med that has opiates. But it has to be strong enough to kill the pain. I've been taking Tramadol (Ultram) for 4 months for an ankle injury. I only take it as needed, which is no more than 2x's a day. 3 weeks ago I started developing hives that would come and go. My skin would itch, increasing in severity at night. I couldn't stand it so I went to the minor care office (5 x's ! ) I was put on 3 rounds of Prednisone and the hives disappeared each time only to reappear when the Prednisone ended. The doctor did blood work and did a biopsy. The blood work came back fine, showing I had a drug allergy. After stopping all my meds and reintroducing them (one at a time) it became very clear it was the Tramadol! I have 60 Tramadol pills and my prescription says to take 1 every six hours (only 4 max a day). How many days supply is that? ## That would be 15 days, if the prescription says you should take them regularly.
