Hi, I'm 20yrs old & suffer chronic back pain with no known cause, was prescribed Tramadol Hcl 50mg today, I'm also taking Lyrica 300mg for pain, Nexium 40mg for a stomach ulcer problem. Wondering how long the Tramadol Hcl 50mg takes to work, does there need to be a build up in my system & is it likely for me to be relient on these medications for life?

my vet prescribed these for my dogs arthritis , now after reading the comments ,I am worried that maybe I got the wrong meds for him

I take tramadol daily...And if I run out of my script a few days early...the withdrawls begin...body aches from hell....30x worse than taking the medication for relief....sometimes I wonder if Tramadol is really worth the pain relief....thats how bad it is....

Very, very, very addictive! Please stop taking it while u still can. Even if u don't abuse it u can still get addicted. I know this from experience. The withdrawals make u wish u were dead. Anything to keep from being that sick.

I can confirm that tramadol is excellent for opiate withdrawal. (In my case, from daily hydrocodone). Today I was feeling really awful: rebound pain, tense & achy legs, bad stomach and severe weakness like from a bad virus. I did some reading and saw a whole lot of back & forth: some people saying tramadol helps with opiate withdrawal, others saying it couldn't. I also read that tramadol can be addictive as well. Anyhow, I decided to tale 1 50 mg. tramadol (read: one pill - not a handful like some fools are doing!) to see if it could pull me out of the yecky withdrawal syndrome. Well, my god...after an hour passed suddenly I felt like a brand new, revived person! Tramadol does work for this purpose. The doubters are wrong.

Yeah keep taking that tramadol and before u know it you'll be looking for something to help with withdrawals from that too. Like I said I was only taking 4 a day NOT a handful.

I am on oxycodone 5mg for pain. I am out of town and have run out. I am beginning to feel the bad withdrawals I had a while back when I was out. My aunte is willing to give me two of her Tramadols to hold me till I get home. I know you are not spposed to share but I am willing to take the risk. Will the Tramadol help me til I get home in about 7 hours?

lower back & leg pain my husband age 81 is taking norco which is not helping much,hydrocodone 5 mg acetaminophen 325 mg is tramadolhci 50 mg a better choice & what are the side effects

I have a large wound on my leg with a wound vac to help heal it, When they change the wound vac willtramadol be enough to help with the pain?

Take the Tramadol. There is a lot more to this drug that the FDA is not telling us. :) Im no doctor,but i know an opiate when i take one. Believe it or not,Tramadol or Ultrum is a very strong med. If people knew what i know, they would laugh at a perk or vic. Thats a fact JACK.:) Maybe someday i will let the cat out of the bag on how to make Tramadol the strongest pain med on the market. And the safest. There is a reason why its also a anti depressant: ) ..GOOD LUCK...

Tramadol 200mg SR Also make eyes also go blurry needing glasses only when my pain requires me to take up to 2000mgSR. compared to Oxicodine around 100mg also has same effect normal codine my eyes go bad at around 300-400mg there is no relief for me unless I am being observed in hospital I know these doses are killing me organ failure stroke and many many other risks even to get my dose of codine up to say 400mg which is just enough to be mobile I get prescribed panadine forte which has 500mg of paracetamol and 30mg of codine so I am quadrupling my risk the problem is not the codine as much as the paracetamol which equals around 6000+mg which could shut down my liver at anytime been doing so for years don't ever take any of the doses I have above I am just lucky so far

Simple Simon? Hmmm... Does anyone happen to know anything about chemistry? Even with the most basic Chemistry ,you can make your very own pain med with Tramadol. And to answer the question about anti depressant. Do your research. Tramadole was and is intended for pain and DEPRESSION! I would take it over Zoloft ,paxel or any of those strange feeling drugs. They seem to make you sleepy,zombie like. I remember being put on symbalta. It made me so weird i lost my Job! It was prescribed by a doctor! Dont trust them. They will have you on Zanex, and zoloft and lithium! Loll, those people are crazy, lol I cant give you my secret/ but, i can tell you that i started taking 1 tramadol at a time. After a while i moved up to two. It made my aches go away and my mood was like i was young again. Only side effects i experienced were occasional headaches? Anyway, i have since then figured out its main ingredients and simply extracted out the BS. I bet you want to know what happened. (RESULT!) Its been almost 6 months. NO MORE HEADACHES! Thank God for knowledge. It feels great to be pain free and not feeling like a junky looking for vics and perks....

I have been taking TramaDol HCL 50mg.,for app. one year.I have had a bad rash between my fingers that itchs terribly & oozes after having to scratch them.My Dr. says it is Eczema! I have NEVER had Eczema in my life,I an 67 years old.It started after I started taking the TramaDol. HCL 50mg.I also have drenching sweats that just seem like water running down my face,neck,chest & arms very frequently.I also have no energy at all.I have been steadily losing weight,no appetite.I think most of this is from the TramaDol but my Dr. says I have Eczema still.I am taking it because of several problems I have & wanting to know if there is another medicine that would work similiar to TramaDol without these side effects? I have fibromyalgia,spinal stenosis,compressed nerves between L3-L4 & L-4 & L-5.found by an MRI when going to a clinic about 5 years ago but also was told by a NeuroSurgeon the clinic sent me to,told me he thought I also have Diabetic Neuropathy but I am not a Diabetic! I have problems taking lots of meds.,I have bad side effects from lots of meds I have been on over the years.The clinic wanted the NeuroSurgeon to operate on my compressed nerves but I had just gotten out of the hospital with what they thought was MRSA & the surgeon said no way he would operate because if it was MRSA it could get into my spinal cord.I also have severe muscle spasms in my neck,a very long time now.probably 20 years.Clinic Dr. told me she thought I may also have pinched nerves in my cervical spine but could not get a MRI on my neck.I have no insurance & when I was going to the Clinic they had got the MRI done on my lumbar spine because of numbness & pain I have in my feet,legs & just below my buttocks area.NeuroSurgeon said he would not operate unless I started to get paralyzed,or start to lose control over my bowels or my bladder or if it became a matter of life & death.Last year I started having terrible stomach pain that would not go away.My husband took me to the emergency room,they gave me an ultra sound & found I had Diverticulitis also now.NeuroSurgeon also found that I have no reflexs in my knees,still do not.I took gabapentin 300mg,3 at a time,3 times a day! That helped the numbness a while but not the pain.I began having bad side effects from the Gabapentin,tops of my feet started to swelling up & the veins inside the bend of my arms started jumping up & dow,so bad you could actually see them jumping.That was only one day after they had increased my dosage on the Gabapentin.Sorry to write so much.I am wanting to know if there is a medicine that works like the tramaDol but does not have so many side effects.I go back to see my Dr.a week from today & hoping I could suggest something else he could put me on.I can not afford Lyrica.the clinic wanted to put me on it but I could not afford it but if it is like the tramaDol I may have the same problems? I had migraines many years ago,my Dr.back then had me taking Fiorinal tablets,2 at a time,for them.That worked very good for my migraine headaches & wondering now if that would possibly help the type pain I have now which is an everyday thing.Thank you for listening,sorry my letter was so long but was trying to remember everything I needed to let you know.

There is no interaction between the two Zoloft is mostly used for depression as most drugs it has multiple uses low dose of tramadol will boost the Zoloft unless u are allergic to any ingredients if u need to take a minimal dose see if it helps even it is barely noticeable Tramadol is a really good medication and also has a lower chance of addiction which you would suffer withdrawals such as any codeine based or any other opioid based medication personally I Have taken large doses for prolonged periods just as I have with Oxy- codeine Dextromoramide Morphine (ect) medication with what depression I believe a low dose would be more beneficial than a higher dose as used for pain they only come in 50mg Quick release 100mgSR 200SR so as it advised not to split a SR tablet because it obviously will release and not last as long mabe 50 mg 1 to 3 times a day I am only providing options that come to mind I only have personal experience so check with your doctor

I have been on all the medications u listed I was on Xanax 12mg a day along with mirtazapine 90 mg at night and seroquel 500mg tablets through the day when I was on this mixture It really affected my work As due to the type I was doing my body has a very very high tolerance to Benzodiazapine medication I said to my doctor there was no point me being on Xanax due to its half life it works fast but doesn't last long 3-4 hours now I am on 14 mg of clonoz a day doesn't work nearly as well but I have few Up's and downs If my panic attacks are not triggered through stress I can get through most days without having to take something else I am not going to mention as listed above migraine is usually due to dehydration or because of the medication I was on and once you get on the merry go round now 20 years later I am still on it for many many different reasons so I do Have personal experience literally on any bi-polar schizophrenic analgesic med I know how they work in me with more combination/dosage lvl's that u can imagine but every one is different
