My last result was TSH 50 and T4 was 9 and T 3 was at 6. T3 look too high and the T 4 too low in comparison with the high level of TSH. A week ago The TSH reads 10 and a day ago it read at 9. It is coming down very slowly but still too high. Does any one know how long it wil take for TS H to drop to normal kevels. I had a total ablation of thyroid on 1 Nov.that is 10 mobts ago and startedxon .25 uq eurothox a day about 6 months ago and it was changed to .50uq after 2 months and then to .75 and for almost 2 months I am taking .1 mg. I am worried iver the weightgain. And I dont eat a lot but just cannot shed the ekstra 15 kg. I am trying from 1 yr for pregnancy. My gyno prescribed m ovacare, thyronorm for control of thyroid, and fesovit for iron, also used ccq tab, in jan 15 I have gone for hsg, both tubes are opened and every test is normal. on 9 jan 2015 I got my period, but in feb 2015 I missed my period. I have done a home pregnancy test after 2-3 weeks and in every test I got a negative result. After a very long time a faded line appeared on the kit, but my gyno says we are taking it as a positive and asked for an ultrasound on march 19, 2015 and till then she stopped ovacare, and said to take l-folinine. I have a TSH value of 60. Is it dangerous? I don't feel so confused anymore. Now I know all of you are going through the same thing. My doctor put me on 50mcg of Levothyroxine about a month ago and I have gain 8 pounds! I get short-breathed and winded REALLY easily when working out. I used to go to the gym for 2 hours, now I can't make it longer than 30 minutes. I wake up ALL the time with tingly fingers because my hands have fallen asleep. I have headaches, I feel 100 times more lazy than before...and it's supposed to help your energy, not drain it. I e-mailed my doctor today, this is not making me happy. Not to mention I now have an acne type rash that burns like hell on my chin and I've always had clear skin. I have been taking Synthroid for about a year now. I started at 25 mcg and am now taking 175 mcg. My problem is, I still have racing pulse and headaches, they were infrequent, but have become more frequent in the past week or so. I also have sweat episodes. I take Tylenol pm to help me sleep, could this affect the Synthroid. Generally I just feel ill and nauseous with racing pulse for the past week or so. I would appreciate any feedback. My TSH level is 9.122, T3 level 1.01 and T4 level 8.14. I am not overweight. Is treatment required or not? I am suffering from hypothyroidism and I'm 6 months pregnant... My tsh level is 6.9... I've been taking medication since week #14 of my pregnancy and I'm feeling really tense about its effect on my child... I'm more petrified when I google information about it... Can anyone please help me out? ## It is actually more risky to let it remain untreated, while you are pregnant, since that could cause a miscarriage and other issues, according to NIH studies. It is actually far safer to take the medication as directed by your doctor. What have you read about it that concerns you? Perhaps those issues can be addressed to help you feel more comfortable with taking it.

I started taking levo....about 3 years ago. Off and on really, i am terribly bad at taking medication. In February I stopped taking my levo (Don't ask me why but I couldnt tell you), fast forward to last week when I go in for my doctors follow up (not all due to the thyroid), I didn't say anything to the doctor about not taking the levo and proceeded to have my blood work done. I get the call a couple days later that my thyroid levels were perfect. So i tell them that cant be right and we should retest, I retest and the same results, perfect. How can they be perfect when I haven't taken my meds in 5 months? So either i was taking it before and not needing it or my body just happened to heal itself? Doubtful. Last 2 yrs.any sun exposure rash appears on exposed skin,frantic itching & burning,skin like sand-paper,Tried antihistamines,both pills and creams, but no change.Difficult to get medical advice,-Brit.living on Cyprus.
