I have hypothyroidism, is clearly that i have weight loss problems, my doctor prescribe to me levothyroxine88 mg but instead of loosing i keep gaining weight. My question is anyone knows if i can take fruta planta without any problems while im in this medication? ## Is your doctor checking your thyroid hormone levels regularly? I forgot if these are Roxys I have.... Oblong bluish purple with with M on one side and L6 on the other. ## This tablet is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 75mcgs of Levothyroxine, which is used to treat thyroid disorders. Is Levoxyl being recalled again in 2017? If so, for what this time? I have just read that it is being recalled again in 2017. My dr has just prescribed it for me. ## Hi Maggie, In my personal investigation there are no apparent announcements (official or otherwise) of a Levoxyl recall taking place at this time in 2017. However I did come across mention of a previous recall from 2013-2014, by the american thyroid association. Where did you read about the possibility of a recall for 2017? And I'm not sure if this makes any difference, but was it pertaining to brand name Levoxyl or its generic counterpart Levothyroxine?

I am an 22 year old unmarried girl.i usally had regular periods and irregular periods alternativelly.from the last march 14 l have no periods yet.why it is so.i consult a general physician and she gave me some iron tablets and consult to check thyroid.i do all it seems to be normal. then why i lack periods..its been june

I've taken this medication on and off for years. New endo- thought we should try again, despite my very educated disapproval. Switched from armour to levo-112mcg and cytomel (t3) -5mcg. I almost forgot what it felt like to be so ill. It's only been a week, but it's been horrific. Heartburn, cramps, nausea, painful bloating, night sweats (let me rephrase, more like night swimming.) And yes, more acne. At almost 40, I look like a 15 yr. old pubescent boy. Charming. This is morning sicknesses and intestinal flu all wrapped up in a pretty pink pill. So for those of you that are new to this, its a long haul, and there are other meds out there. Be persistent, if after two months symptoms do no subside-look further. Some of us just can not tolerate this sorry excuse of a medication...

These pills were prescribed for my wife. It says Levothyroxine 50mcg on the bottle label. It has sodium as well. We got it from walmart. ## The actual name of the medication is Levothyroxine Sodium, that doesn't mean it actually contains any significant amount of sodium, that just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, you may see some other medication generic names followed by Hydrochloride, or Sulfate. Hi. I am Hafeez and my age is 48. I am a heart patient and my serum creatinine level is 1.6. I am also suffering from a thyroid disorder. I went to many of the specialists and they have given me medicine. However, all those medications are not accepted by my body. Whenever I am eating, I experience feet, chest and stomach pain. My son is 9year old .whn he was 5year old he had thyroid problem nd then after checked it was was found that he had tumer in his gland after removing thyroid gland.he was well nd he take thyronorm 88mg bt now from 3months he is mantly disturbed .last month when Dr checked his tsh level it is normal bt now again when now it is being checked it is •600.i only want to know that is it a reason of mental disturbance nd is his dose should be increased.

I have had a partial thyroidectomy. Was started on levothyroxine 50 mcg. Now up to 150mcg. I had a mirena put in and periods stopped before my thyroid issues started and did not have a period. Swapped to brand synthroid and they started back after about 3 or 4 months. A year later I swapped back to levothyroxine and they stopped again. My tsh was elevated and my doctor recommended I go to brand necessary synthroid and 4 months later my periods have started back. ## That can be a normal side effect of the medication changes, and your original thyroid issue, according to FDA reports. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, mood swings, and hair loss. Are you on any other medications?

I have been on 50 mcg of synthroid for a few months as I didnt know I even had a thyroid issue but this month after my labs were drawn they raised it to 88 mcg, what ate some factors that could affect it in such a way to increase it so much? My husband and I are trying to conceivr but nothing else has changed, no new meds, enviorment, etc. Plz help"!! ## It's really just your body, it's normal for your thyroid hormone levels to fluctuate sometimes and for the med to need to be adjusted. There are times they may lower it, or they may raise it, that's why they do the regular blood tests to check. Hello doctor.I am 43years old.I have hypothyroidism. Hi, I am a thyroid patient. I have 8.8 level hypothyroidism before two months. Before two months itself i started to taking thyroid tablet 75mg and femilon tablet also. Can i stop the femilon tablet for next cycle? Is there any problem wil cause if i stopped femilon tablet. Could you please advise me.

After nearly 5 years of trying to get docs to take my complaints seriously, I was finally diagnosed with Hashimoto's a couple of months ago. About 3 months prior to that, they started me on Synthroid. At follow-up, my TSH levels had not improved so I was switched to Levoxyl. A couple weeks after starting it, I began experiencing tingling across my forehead and scalp. A pins and needles sort of feeling. Several weeks later the tingling is ongoing, though it waxes and wanes in severity. Then a couple weeks ago my feet started to swell. I was noticing my shoes felt tight and was getting sores on my toes from rubbing. I made no changes to my daily routine or diet that would explain this swelling.
