Teva No Longer Manufacturers Clonazepam (Page 4)

Teva No Longer Manufacturers Clonazepam, and I personally feel it is a good thing.
Teva, in my opinion, is a low-quality company who actually manufacturers 70% of their products overseas, in cities and communities I don't think you would want to live in.
I find the change-over, in terms of most of my medications, including clonazapam 2mh hs to be more effective than before.
There are, of course, individual differences, but this is how it is for me personally.
Would anyone else care to comment?
Re: Klonz (# 52)
Im not calling anyone...this is total BS. If they wanted to they could change the current Actavis pills to the teva fomulation. Someone at teva/actavis customer service is playing you hard if you believe this. Call day and night but nothing will change.
Per call to TEVA on 4/1/19 they are strongly considering bringing back OLD FORMULA (povidone) clonazepam.
We ALL need to CALL TEVA customer service at 888-838-2872 (option #3 then option #5) for customer service asking them to bring back old TEVA formula ASAP bc it’s messing with our lives
Re: Dan (# 2)
Know which pharmacies carry Teva? The real one's even better.
Re: Kathie (# 47)
CVS told the truth, for a change. I have cervical dystonia/spasmodic torticollis since 1997 and took Teva in first clonazepam for 23 yrs, then in my main Rx of Gabapentin when they had a generic. Criticize Teva if you want. But the only bad experience I had with any generic, was a company in TENNESSEE (sorry Tenn.) The only bad experience I had with gaba was a generic other than Teva. I now have been taking Cipla and Ascend Gabapentin and Actavis clonazepam. No problems, but the Actavis is way too chalky/dissolves too fast. I preferred the flat, hard, green Teva.
Any pharmacy saying they I have Teva Clonazepam I would highly doubt. The company has informed me by phone and email they do NOT make it any longer. Could only recommend Actavis. I did, and it's been fine for my medical disorder. BTW, Accord was horrible for me when I tried the 2-day sample.
Re: Kathie (# 47)
Have you read the title or any of the posts? It can give you all the info you need
Re: Kathie (# 47)
What’s the title of this entire chat say along with the 47 replies?
I was told by CVS Pharmacy that Teva no longer makes Clonazepam. Is this true? I cannot take the blue generic ones as they make me ill.
Re: Dubskii (# 45)
That was my point..while it may or may not be as the good as the original Roche, which ive never had , the Genentech version is nowhere close to being as good as Teva brand and cost $85 a month for 30 - .05 mgs
Re: Lobster (# 44)
Roche bought out Genentic 10 years ago, and has been making Roche klonopin ever since. It is the real klonopin, even says roche on the tablets. This said I have found it far inferior to Teva, but better than actavis and accord.
Re: Sam (# 43)
Just so people know the "name brand" is really not Roche. It's Genentech which is a division of Roche. I've had zero help from the Genentech version.
The only ones left are the name brand klonopin (Roche), Actavis (formerly Purepac), and Accord, which i havent tried but heard it is ineffective and also made in China.
Every other manufacturer has discontinued clonazepam so those 3 above will be the only options going forward. You might get lucky and find some remaining Teva brand but it wont be around much longer. Northstar (Sandoz, Novartis) is gone. Par (Qualitest, Solco) is gone. Mylan is gone. Caraco (Sun) may still be available but i have never tried those.
The Roche (name brand) are way too expensive, so i try to get Teva if available but the next best thing for me is Actavis (formerly Purepac) which has been bought by Teva. Actavis does not work as well for me as Teva but after a week or so of taking them my body seemed to get used to them. My doc had to increase my dosage from .5 mg to 1 mg in order to keep it effective.
Yeah, I’ve tried them all, stuck with Actavis since it’s my last refill. Trying to just adjust to a new normal but it sucks, I agree, the doses are inconsistent. I’m constantly going from Zombie from taking a half of a half .5 mg extra back to anxiety ridden when I go back to normal, there are a couple days in between when I’m ok but I cannot get a stable base level with Actavis or any other, constantly feeling either that I took too much back to I need more. This sucks, screw Teva and their new CEO.
Re: Dubskii (# 40)
They do not work as long but if you take 2 a day as most people do you will be fine
Re: BBC (# 39)
I was thinking about getting the wafers but wasn’t sure if they would last as long since they kick in faster does it leave your body faster? Or does it seem to work as long as the tablets.... who makes the wafers you get btw..... Tnx
Re: Dubskii (# 38)
I have switched to the wafer form of Klonopin and strayed away from the pills. All the pills included the genetec/roche pills are no good and inconsistent. That’s what angers me, you can get one batch from the same manufacturer that makes you feel totally different than the previous months did. I don’t want people thinking I’m moody or bipolar so I switched.
As far a switching to Valium that is a no go for me. I have Watson brand generic Valium and they are not on the same level as Klonopin as far keeping panic attacks away. They also don’t work as long either. I got the highest dose available and it’s no good. That’s just my story. I have Xanax and Ativan too and none work as well as klonopin do
Re: BBC (# 36)
I have been thinking about just crossing over to Valium.... since all these generic klonopin suck even including the roche brand which was no better. I can’t believe how different generics can feel from one another
Re: BBC (# 36)
Yes I agree the roche are not the same, they suck as bad as the other generics.... what are you taking now? Have you found anything to replace teva?
Re: Frank (# 35)
Have you tried Roche brand name? I have and they suck so you can get whatever excuse you want but they are no good.
Ok I'm really upset with clonazepam generics. Doesn't Teva get the hint to keep making at least the famous 1 MG pill. Ok first TEVA the good ol green one's ARE DEAD, there were close to the K Roche that all should probably get. All though with insurance 60 1 Mg price was over 200 bucks a month. Cause there is too many generics and they all suck. That's why they are 1 bucks to fill... My doctor and pharmacist have so much to do with complains non stop work and patients. 10 percent they are paying attention. Now with Teva until YESTERDAY. I swore I thought Teva stopped making the green pills which it seems like they're gone. And they bought Actavis. Which I figured oh there's hope. So the yellow 1 MG R 32 were under the Teva brand and I thought they were replacing there green 1 MG which would worked with these Yellow Actavis. Today I see there's a company called Purepac which also makes the exact same pill and they are apparently Actavis. I bought these at a Wegmans. I was upset I special ordered a last 500 bottle of Green Teva's but there not for me NO there for anybody. Makes no SENSE WHAT SO EVER. That bottle should of had my name written on it. Cause the 500 pills lasted two refills of 120 pills total where did the rest go??? They're gone and couldn't get another bottle. This battle with Teva Greens have been going on for a year. So I'm on the Actavis for the first time and they are mild I think I don't know. And on the bottle it didn't say Actavis or Teva it said PurePac. What the hell is a Purepac??? So now I'm mad this has been happening with multiple pharmacies. I want that K Roche brand with a medical excuse for the insurance to just over ride the generics the hell with em. and have my insurance pay for the damn real versions. Cause Teva isn't coming back... Here is what they have instead. They bought Actavis (tevagenerics.com/product/clonazepam-tablets-usp-civ)... Ok so Teva has replaced their great Greens with Yellows that I read everyone hates. Should of did my freaking homework. They looked good they were pretty easy to break... So the new Teva Actavis replacement is bad what generic beside the brand which I'm going to get aggressive with these people who just don't care. Wegmans had NorthStar and Solco and Sandoz and Accord which I tried and sucked big. SO I DON'T KNOW... ROCHE no more Teva go back to Roche with a medical excuse it will probably work with insurance. So more crap about generics. Signing off.
Re: dubskii (# 33)
Don’t know if they work the same as they don’t have povidone in them. Just letting people know that people can buy Teva branded klonopin. I just got a wafer script and had them filled with the Par brand because nobody had them in stock. Walgreens told me they could order them and have them the next day but hurricane Florence was coming through so I just got the Par they had in stock. They are much much better than any other pill and possibly better than the Teva brand. They kick in fast and require no water.
