Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 28)
UpdatedI'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.
While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.
My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.
If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.
Re: Russ (# 533)
Hi Russ,
Leading works best for me. I can even just suck on one and let it dissolve in my mouth which makes the pill take effect in a few mintes rather than 45 minutes. The Teva actually makes my stomach hurt and I awaken in the middle of the night throwing up! I passionately hate that my little boutique pharmacy keeps having trouble getting the Leading pills and sticks me with Teva! I can drive a long ways and drag through the world’s largest grocery store and get the Leading there, but, the ones they get are different than the ones my Mom and Pop pharmacy gets! I would guess they have different manufacturing plants. The nausea has finally subsided, hopefully from the Teva, for now, hough the tummy pain remains. Probably hunger pains! The Teva seem to take longer to take effect, in part because I have to swallow those caustic little buggers, and then it hits me pretty hard. I strongly prefer the Leading from my Mom and Pop because I can suck on it, tasty little sugary thing, and then it comes on in a very gentle controlled manner letting me relax and so things and then go to sleep in a very natural way. The Teva makes me feel knocked out when it hits. I hope this feedback helps. I did just start a book on meditation and am hoping to get back to that and exercise, more sunshine, and swimming. And talk therapy! Best of luck!
What I've found is the .5 Teva doesn't work very well for me. But the 1mg works about the same as 1mg of Leading. Probably the fillers. Anything new going on for the rest of y'all.
Not sure about Leading. My Kaiser pharmacy said they can no long get Teva. I think Leading may not be as effective. Not happy.
Re: Ken (# 6)
Not as effective or maybe no effect on anxiety at all. Can’t get Teva. Why, I don’t know.
Re: Kay (# 19)
I’ve been on lorazepam for 32 years & am now 71. I plan to remain on it til the end.
Re: NeeJo (# 545)
Same here....been on it for 40 years....2mg 3x day....15 years on valium before that.......At 75 I've been told by various sources I'm too old to attempt tapering.
Re: NeeJo (# 543)
Other forums say just the opposite... that Leading is useless... i guess it all depends on the fillers along with what we put our faith in.
Where can I order these 1 mg purple ifa alprasalam tabletas from
Re: Richard H (# 547)
Or what we've set our minds on what works for ourselves. I just take it now. Try not letting it psych me out. But we all know that Mylan was the best generic for many years. But the .5 mg is more powerful then the 2 mg in Teva. I think we all can agree they both stink.
Re: NeeJo (# 545)
Like I've told Richard doctors are cracking down on benzodiazepines. The pharmacist are putting serious pressure on the medical community. We all know different folks in our lives that know doctors, pharmacist or friends and family that have had either good experiences with them or not. I won't put out here the same story as some do. But the last I dealt with this personally was told this medication will come to a halt eventually. That conversation happens each Pdoc visit. Richard has be very fortunate that his doc hasn't taken him either down or off. I'm still never sure which Benzo he's on. He switches his story a lot. Not trying to scare anyone here at all. But I'm in the military community where it's being cut back. One of my kids deals with this in the civilian world. Hopefully the medical community will relax a bit and realize what Richard has said at some of our ages it's not to take us off. Peace y'all!
Re: Jibbs55 (# 549)
Correction the .5 mg Teva is more powerful then the 1mg Teva. Sorry about that.
Re: Jibbs55 (# 550)
I'm still never sure which Benzo he's on. He switches his story a lot. Not sure which "Richard you are referring to...when another came along I switched to "Richard H". If you are referring to me, please point out where I ever "switched my story a lot". I have tried only 2 benzos... 10mg valium 4x day from 1967-83. Then lorazepam (name brand Ativan for many years) then the generic form (lorazepam from 1983 2mg 3x day until the present day. My cbt therapist, psychiatrist and my pcp ALL have said it is downright dangerous/deadly to take a person 65 years or older off a prescription of that strength and length of time.
Re: Jibbs55 (# 549)
Jibbs, Mylan has never been available to me....pharmacies around here were carrying the real Watson when I began generics....wish I could have tried it.
I need to proofread my comments better. What I was agreeing with Richard about is trying to take someone in their 60's and up off this medication would be detrimental to that individual.
Re: Jibbs55 (# 554)
What MY lack of proofreading doesn't screw up- then auto correct does!, lol
Re: Lou (# 2)
So I was on Teva for years. I noticed they switched me to Teva. You say it's a placebo? Why am I not having seizures then?
Re: Lou (# 2)
Oh it's a placebo??? So I get seizures detoxing off benzos so you are saying I can just stop taking it and won't have a seizure or any ill effects?? Cool. If I do though I'm coming back to this comment if I live. Because you said unequivocally leading is a placebo
Re: Richard (# 15)
Yea I have no idea but it is crazy to keep the amount of conspiracy theories on here saying Leading is a placebo. That would mean thousands ending up in the ER with seizures and a class action suit so large that company wouldn't be able to peddle ibuprofen.
Re: LadyGreenEyes8 (# 16)
Yet it's 5 years later and we still get lorazepam by leading. I think the placebo was your brain
Re: Richard (# 15)
Hi I had to switch from watson to leading your statement has made me feel so much better thank you so much leading does work and relaxing for my anxiety
