Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 24) (Top voted first)

Updated

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

Re: Marcus (# 374) Expand Referenced Message

Unfortunately the brand name is no longer the best buy. I will pay more money for a drug that is most consistent. This is no longer an option.

You are correct. They started to use valium and are switching to haldol and hydrazine!

Is Major a new generic for Lorazepam?

I am have Watson for about another month and I already have major anxiety regarding this; been on Watson may close to 20 years. I tried a 1/4 tab of TEVA and my throat felt like it was closing for about 4-5 hours, I have an epi pen, but did not use it. Would you guys attempt this pill again or no?

Re: Lex (# 383) Expand Referenced Message

Same company. Leading Pharma is the distributor for Major pharmaceuticals. They sell the identical lorazepam under both names for some reason.

Those inactive ingredients are identical to Leading, and if that’s the case THANKS, BUT NO THANKS.

Re: Henry (# 389) Expand Referenced Message

Lorazepam has NOT been discontinued. It is still being manufactured in India. The problem in the US is due to the closing of their manufacturing plant in Dayton, NJ (which made Lorazepam and other controllable). According to business reports, they will open up manufacturing in their new Distribution Center in East Windsor, NJ. So, I wouldn’t say it’s over, just will take some time until the plant opens or they RE-start importation from India. Officially a discontinuation has NOT been filed for this medication (which they are legally bound to do 6 months prior to discontinued date). While there is a lot of pressure in the bzd marketplace, it is still a viable, medically necessary medication. It is currently a 3 billion dollar business, projected to grow to 4 bill by 2030. As far as these rumors that BZD’s will go to schedule 2, I highly doubt that. Again, it is still commonly prescribed. I think you’ll find that this will settle down, prescribers may be more reluctant to prescribe for long term use. I think the CDC and the DEA realize that the draconian measures they placed on Opiates have actually backfired and have led people to resort to illicit drugs (namely fentanyl). Actually, the CDC will be issuing more lenient prescribing guidelines shortly. Again, this is my opinion, but I look at things through a business and political angle.

Re: Larry (# 380) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Larry,

Like Henry said they are both the same. I do want to say something about the Leading pill. About a year ago they did something to it was actually working well with me. It was short lived. But I'm telling y'all it work pretty good. I guess the only benefit is not being incomplete withdrawals.

Re: Leebs (# 391) Expand Referenced Message

The day pdocs, MD's or any other medical entity that can prescribe medication will relax about benzos when pigs can fly. Said this before the real scrutiny comes from the pharmacist that question medical providers why are you using this medication at all. Or you are giving too much.

Re: Lex (# 401) Expand Referenced Message

It was the generic. About 8 years ago I went to another hospital in. Thailand Nd got about 5 lorazepam 1 MG and those did nothing. Took all 5 and it did nothing.
The drug companies can't make money in 3rd world counties. They are not going to provide quality products where they can't make money

The fda says what is and is not “brand name”. They use it like a curse.

Re: Jibbs55 (# 398) Expand Referenced Message

Yes, lowering the active ingredients usually results in people using alcohol to pad out the inconsistency.

Re: Sgonedes1977 (# 406) Expand Referenced Message

Drinking alcohol on any drug like this would be completely foolish. Those who do put a damper on us that don't. Causing doctors not to want to prescribe them. That's where the whole deal started with the stigmatism. High profile individuals abusing benzodiazepines along with drinking and using other illicit drugs. Not a wise comment to use in this thread. Or wise to do it as said above. Peace y'all

Re: Sgonedes1977 (# 405) Expand Referenced Message

Has anyone here had any experience or luck getting Pfizer Lorazepam? It’s supposed to be available as a generic and I have never come across it. Seems like all pharmacies are either solely selling Leading or Teva. :-(
