Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 36) (Top voted first)

Updated

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases. While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it. My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction. If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

Re: Ken (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

I'm hoping for a class action lawsuit. Any lawyers want to take a stab at this? I took leading pharma for 6 days and was almost dead from no sleep. Try going for no sleep for that long

Re: Lou (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

Walgreens can obtain Teva even if they don't currently stock it. Insist on it telling them you are allergic to the Leading fillers (they are different). I found Walgreen pharmacists most cooperative ordering Teva.

Leading pharma is not as effective for me as Teva. Thankfully, my doctor put on the prescription teva only and so far, my drugstore is ordering it for me.

Watson used to be my choice, and I don't want to happen to them l. They were sold, but teva works fine.

That's where I get Teva.
So far they are ordering for me.

My Doctor put on script Teva only.

Ive been on this for 30 plus years and I was fine in Minnesota getting it. My doctor gave it to me, and then we moved to Arizona, we were snow birds. We moved out here full-time and that's when the trouble hit it's like what is going on. It was 2018 I think. To make a long story short. I really want to move back to California. The Central Coast, what's holding me back is trying to find someone that would give me this medicine and it's difficult. I've called a couple psychology places. I have to go up there and have an appointment and talk to them and get records transferred. Oh boy anyway fun and games.

Re: Richard H (# 723) Expand Referenced Message

Well, the inevitable has happened. My psychiatrist and prescriber of 2mg lorazepam 3x day is retiring. Online prescribers won't touch my prescription plus the fact I am 79. Even though i've been on this same dose for 42 years, never needed more and never abused it, I am my paraplegic wife's sole caregiver, i maintain both house and garden, do all the cooking, shopping and wash, bathe my wife and help her transfer from wheelchair to stepchair....despite being able to do all this; I am considered a risk. That sucks. If I cannot find a provider it not only ends my life but also my wife's. We've been married 56 years and because those in congress cannot believe there are people out there that don't abuse drugs, they consider the lifesaving benzodiazepine a substance to be controlled so some fools don't abuse them. I'm disgusted and a bit frightened of the future.

Re: Richard H (# 723) Expand Referenced Message

I want to make something clear..in my reply I stated "If I cannot find a provider it not only ends my life but also my wife's."...what I meant is - "If I cannot find a provider, it would devastate both our lives. I don't know how I could continue caring for my wife and home, and I don't know what would happen to us. It would end the life we have known".

Re: Richard H (# 725) Expand Referenced Message

Richard, I’m sorry to hear about your situation. My first question is your current doctor planning on just making you stop “cold turkey” from 6mg a day when he closes his practice? Sudden discontinuation can cause life-threatening seizures and severe withdrawal symptoms like convulsions, or loss of consciousness. Frankly I’m appalled that your doctor didn’t speak to colleagues and find a new doctor for you. If you are made to stop abruptly YOU MUST GO TO AN EMERGENY ROOM AT A HOSPITAL. They have to treat you and find you an outpatient physician to follow up. I am assuming your are on Medicare. The hospital will be forced to deal with this directly.

Re: John B (# 726) Expand Referenced Message

Called the office. Got news that my dr. is handing (at least some of his patients which I am one) over to a psychiatric nurse practitioner who I am told will handle medical management. He has only been in practice for a few years but if capable I won't have any issues with that at all. I just hope he is committed for the long term. Thanks for your response, John.

Re: Joyce (# 10) Expand Referenced Message

Joyce why would you post such a false comment. They're not discontinuing their lorazepam. Not sure who you talked to but as I told you on the other post there's no discontinuation. I'm not posting phone numbers out here to the company but I spoke with one of their nurses two weeks ago as well as two of their customer service agents. They are not discontinuing it. It was on backorder. The only thing I didn't ask was why. But they still had their .5mgs and 2mgs available. My script fills in a few days and it will be Mylan. Leading brand was what my pharmacy tried me on to see if it worked and it didn't so they ordered the Mylan 2mgs. I've been just splitting the pills. I'm calling you out on this one. Especially if you said you contacted them on a weekend. They are not open on the weekends. Joyce please stop posting false comments.

Re: Charlii77 (# 91) Expand Referenced Message

I hate to sound hypocritical...but since I wrote that I’ve had issues with tachycardia..worse during the day...bad at night (171 bpm high during day-112 bpm waking me from REM sleep at night.) First thing I did was check w/ cardiologist.....he said heart was good after tests......he suggested thyroid or anxiety.....endocrinologist said thyroid was good...he sugggested anxiety.....went to my long term shrink....he said many patients now telling him Actavis and Leading made lorazepam is not as effective....he put me on an additional .5 mg (for starters) of klonopin at night.........tachycardia is better but not there yet...... seems it’s the india-made lorazepam.

Re: SGB (# 135) Expand Referenced Message

I filed a report with the FDA against Leading lorazepam. Once I ran out of Mylan and all I could get was leading I went into acute benzodiazepine withdrawal. Thank heavens my insurance intervened and paid for the brand name Ativan. Leading=garbage, if you think it works for you it’s all placebo effect. Means you don’t need it anymore, discontinue. Lucky you

Re: Ken (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

Yes. This is the second time I was unfortunately given Leading Pharma lorazepam. Once from CVS so I switched to Rite Aide and couldn’t believe it when I picked up my scrip yesterday and they had given me Leading Pharma lorazepam. Sugar pill that does nothing. A complete ripoff.

I take the brand Ativan from Bausch Health but unless your insurance will agree to pay their exorbitant cost it won't be an option. From what I've been reading here you might want to try the generic lorazepam from Aurobindo. CVS drug stores *might* order it for you or try an independent pharmacy in your area. Hope that helps.

Re: gsrmike98 (# 299) Expand Referenced Message

Yes, I have tolerance withdrawal even before this change. It's interesting you found it to be stronger. You don't know what lot you are on by chance do you? My pharmacy started printing the lot numbers on the bottles. Mine is 100023425 exp 5/23.

I wonder if it could be a bad batch.

I can't updose. My psychiatric provider said that when I first started seeing them. I should have tapered when I was feeling better a while ago and thought of it but they were against it at the time. I'm not sure if they realize that over time you do go into withdrawal staying at the same dose.

There's a possibility my reaction is something else that's a coincidence. I'm not sure. I have a lot of stressors in my life, but I haven't been this bad off any time I can remember.

I was taking Watson. Leading lorazepam is exact same ingrediants as Watson. Works the same.
