I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

i read on another forum, that teva just made a new lorazepam with the same formula as actavis/watson. does anyone know that it's true?

I'd stick with the Aurobindo if the one your on runs out. I'd totally be grateful if I could get Aurobindo here. Still stuck on Leading brand for almost 2 years now.

Wonder if any of you have watched this benzo hit piece "documentary" on Netflix yet? These clowns really need to spend more effort addressing the fentanyl crisis which kills over 50k people in the US a year instead of worrying about benzodiazepines. /rant

Owned by people who don't care! It's money in their pocket. Politicians are in on it! I hate to say it, but we are all going to have to find a good alternative.

Can someone help me?
I have been fine talking Aurobindo 0.5 mg Lorazepam for last 3 years after switching from Mylan.
However after my latest refill of the Aurobindo - it has a totally different effect. It’s giving me sudden insomnia and anxiety which has been fine for years. What do I do?

The pill has the same stamp as the previous Aurobindo tablets.

Ajay, I'm not sure what or if the company has made any changes. Like I said I've been on Leading brand well over a year. Maybe you could call them. Hope that helps.

Ugh.. they've changed for sure. My last two fills haven't worked as normal. My dr says it's because I've built up a tolerance... but I've been on lorazepam for 23 years. Qualitest and Mylan always worked the best. I found aurobindo after feeling what you feel now on leading.. leading is the worst..I don't see how anyone can take it.. now auro bindo seems like it doesn't work.

For anyone having issues with lorazepam genetics, have you tried Loreev XR? It's a once daily lorazepam product that's a brand name but much less expensive than brand name Ativan and therefore easier to get insurance approval. I haven't taken it or seen much feedback anywhere. Might be the answer for some of you.

I wasn't aware. I take 2MG brand name Ativan in the US with a prior authorization my doctor got with my insurance. It costs my insurance a mind-boggling $69.00 per tablet.

I've been using brand name since 2018 once Mylan lorazepam left the market. I've found the brand Ativan (presently owned by Busch Health of Montreal Canada and now made in Canada) to work well for me.
As for insurance it's really about seeing if they will approve coverage from the request of your doctor. Make sure they say you had problems with the generics and if you filed a complaint wilts FDA Medwatch even better.

Wyeth was way before I ever took it (it was bought by biovail in between too). There was someone who posted on here that remembers the original Wyeth and he claims it worked better for him. He seemed to feel all these benzodiazepines used to work better in the 70s-90s.

The original brand worked so we'll it wasn't a joke. Never had one tolerance change in 18 years. When Biovail took over making it that was the end. I took 4mgs a day never needed extra. As far as the 70's are concerned that wasn't me talking. I didn't start on Ativan till 1987. For me it beat out everything else tried. I'm thinking that might have been Richard that had some time at it back in the day. I'm not sure what generic I was given in lorazepam form but it didn't work at all. Doc wrote it for brand name and there was never a magic trick, hoop to jump through, call to the insurance company, drug shaming or any of that trash. Doctors know what we're all dealing with and they also know benzos work and are more effective anything else. Peace y'all abd Happy New Year!

I have a few questions about Teva. Does anyone know who the original pharmaceutical company was that made it and has it changed hands over the years. Did any of you experience it working ok at one time and has it changed formula wise and who makes it now if it did. I've never taken Teva that I know of. Wondering what it did/does to any of you that might have been on it. Is it better then Leading brand. My pharmacy gave me a heads up they've changed brands again. Does one strength work better than the other. Appreciate any feedback.
