Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 20)

Updated

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

teva makes me sluggish and nauseous, my body is not comfortable, my anxiety doesn't go away. it might work for some people but not for me. aurobindo is hard to find. I don't get updated availability info. maybe others have got the info and can share it here

Re: Lex (# 383) Expand Referenced Message

Same company. Leading Pharma is the distributor for Major pharmaceuticals. They sell the identical lorazepam under both names for some reason.

Re: Lex (# 382) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Lex,

I’m sorry for your reactions to Teva. I had a horrid reaction to Leading; for me it gave me panic attacks and exponentially increased my anxiety. It literally was worthless and I threw away an entire bottle.

I hope we can all find relief from this reality of subpar generic benzos.

Re: Roy (# 388) Expand Referenced Message

As a side - Aurobindo still showing out of stock all strengths. Too reminiscent of how Mylan disappeared in 2018. I think it's a goner

Re: Roy (# 388) Expand Referenced Message

Those inactive ingredients are identical to Leading, and if that’s the case THANKS, BUT NO THANKS.

Re: Henry (# 389) Expand Referenced Message

Lorazepam has NOT been discontinued. It is still being manufactured in India. The problem in the US is due to the closing of their manufacturing plant in Dayton, NJ (which made Lorazepam and other controllable). According to business reports, they will open up manufacturing in their new Distribution Center in East Windsor, NJ. So, I wouldn’t say it’s over, just will take some time until the plant opens or they RE-start importation from India. Officially a discontinuation has NOT been filed for this medication (which they are legally bound to do 6 months prior to discontinued date). While there is a lot of pressure in the bzd marketplace, it is still a viable, medically necessary medication. It is currently a 3 billion dollar business, projected to grow to 4 bill by 2030. As far as these rumors that BZD’s will go to schedule 2, I highly doubt that. Again, it is still commonly prescribed. I think you’ll find that this will settle down, prescribers may be more reluctant to prescribe for long term use. I think the CDC and the DEA realize that the draconian measures they placed on Opiates have actually backfired and have led people to resort to illicit drugs (namely fentanyl). Actually, the CDC will be issuing more lenient prescribing guidelines shortly. Again, this is my opinion, but I look at things through a business and political angle.

Re: Larry (# 380) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Larry,

Like Henry said they are both the same. I do want to say something about the Leading pill. About a year ago they did something to it was actually working well with me. It was short lived. But I'm telling y'all it work pretty good. I guess the only benefit is not being incomplete withdrawals.

Re: Leebs (# 391) Expand Referenced Message

The day pdocs, MD's or any other medical entity that can prescribe medication will relax about benzos when pigs can fly. Said this before the real scrutiny comes from the pharmacist that question medical providers why are you using this medication at all. Or you are giving too much.

Re: Larry (# 394) Expand Referenced Message

Only thing I can figure is a different plant was producing it. Cause it was tons more tolerable then it is now. But the answer is no Larry. Don't have any clue why but I had like 3 fills and I was doing well. Hoping Aurobindo comes back and my base or VA picks it back up. But I'm thinking they are through making lorazepam. Seen this deal too many times. But Aurobindo worked very well for me. Like night and day switching from Leading to Aurobindo. Wish y'all the best!

Re: Henry (# 389) Expand Referenced Message

we have the aurobindo here in vegas, was looking forward to trying as all the others are trash, was sadly disappointed with my first dose, felt sleepy but could not fall asleep til 4:00 in the morning, not good. Can any one out there tell me if it takes a couple of days to acclimate to this product or, if it's no good the first time, forget it?

Re: joe (# 396) Expand Referenced Message

Might be your body needs to adjust to it. For me it just calmed me down. Put me back at ease like the original Ativan did. Could be the one your on now has your body chemistry all worked up. But for me it's a instant change. Like I've said it's like someone flipping a switch. Give it a chance to get in your system and hopefully you'll ease into it. Wish you well Joe.

I can tell you all that I've been on Leading brand over a year if not longer. Sure would be cool if the pharmaceutical companies could make up their minds what they plan on doing for us patients. Cause I don't know if any of you have ran into this problem taking Leading brand has caused you the need to take extra to balance out. Which then causes that phone call or Pdoc visit conversation that's not always in ones benefit. I'm tired of this rodeo that's out of our control. Thinking I might have to find a PCP or Pdoc outside of the military that's not anti benzodiazepenzine. The stress that is cause by many docs tripping about being on this medication is just ridiculous. Even worse are the pharmacist questioning our docs why are you writing these scripts. Y'all know what I'm talking about here. Yes I totally understand the legalities. Just is unfair y'all.

Forgot to ask, Joe how are you making out with the Aurobindo? Has your system balanced out taking it yet? Let us know would you. Take care y'all!

Re: Jibbs55 (# 399) Expand Referenced Message

Thanks for asking, wish it was good news but its not. It made me a little tired which is ok but I laid in bed for 6 hours unable to sleep. I finally fell asleep but woke up 3 hours later. What's interesting is I went to bangkok recently and got some lorazepam from the hospital, and like Aurobindo, made me tired but would not allow me to fall asleep.

If any of you have had the same experience please reply, the only one I haven't tried is leading which I recently got ahold of. I know there's not much good news here but the only thing that worked for me was Actavis and a lot of people said that this didn't work for them. Anyway, still searching, even thinking of trying Valium.
