I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases. While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it. My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction. If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Yes agree. I have been on this drug for 30 years.

Leading Pharma was sent to me thru my mail order Humana years ago And I definitely had issues with it. I actually called the company and had to send back a bottle so their lab could check it out. They came back to me with "there is nothing wrong" I forget exactly what they said but came to the conclusion they were not using the full amount of the drug and the rest fillers. I guess there is a range companies can use of the actually drug. I stayed away from mail order and used Walmart who had Watson at the time. Then they were bought out.

It's a struggle. I am getting Teva from Walgreens now. It seems to be working somewhat but not as good as Watson. Possibly it's my brain. ??

I use TEVA lorazepam, however sometimes they work and other times they don’t. From researching other brands they state that some companies are deviating from the actual formula. There should be more oversight into this. I tried Mylan many years ago and found it to be the best however after it was discontinued everything has gone down hill. At times I think placebo pills are thrown into the mix. I view this as a money maker scam. We have to be more diligent about the manufacturing company and the effect they have on us.

Thanks, i will look them up...my wife gets nervous when i talk of death preferable to going without...I don't THINK I would off myself but then I remember a doc I had took me off valium for 3 weeks in a clinic/hospital.......cold turkey.....worst experience of my life.....then after 30 days he offered EST.....on treatment #8 I was awake..somebody screwed up....I couldn't breath and eventually passed out because I couldn't mpve a muscle to tell them I'M AWAKE.....When i awoke I screamed across the recovery room...hey Dr **** (his not, not a 4-letter word)...YOU'RE FIRED"......in one hour I was given a new doc...guess what they gave me..valium (same dose I was on when I went in for help).....yes, benzos are addictive. So are many SSRI's to some people....so is Metformin for diabetics and beta blockers for heart patients...let the patients and doctors decide..not the government!

I'm same age and my neurologist said my brain is locked in with it. During my weaning off I had some type of weird event. So as I said I'm currently on 4 mg a day. I think I was up to 6 years ago. I honestly did not know about how this drug was addictive until the Doctors wouldn't prescribe and I ended up in the ER. Scary deal. Good luck.

Unfortunately i wasn't given much of a choice. The ER injected valium in 1967 but the psychiatrist i was told to go see tried a variety of heavy duty psychotropic drugs...all of which made my anxiety worse...then a psychiatrist in a clinic asked me what if anything ever worked. I told him about the valium in the ER. He immediately prescribed it and i took it for about 15 years when my then psychiatrist was retiring and didn't want his patuents on an addictive drug, he showed me a pamphlet put out by Wyeth touting their 'non-addictive' benzo, Ativan. So we all know how that turned out...sure wish i had kept that pamphlet given to my doc by a Wyeth Rep. Soon I'll be searching again for a new doc. My pcp and my cbt therapist both told me at 78, after taking my dose (2mg 3x day for 42 years....that even attempting to wean could kill me much less wrecking whatever amounts to the rest of my life.....and my wifes too...I'm her caregiver as she is paraplegic and cannot do much for herself

Hi Judy, I hear you on regrets looking back when we were started on Ativan/lorazepam. The thing is I was so sick at that time for awhile as doctors tried me on everything else. You name the anti-depressant I was tried on it and either had no change or more often paradoxical reaction (does the opposite it’s supposed to- made anxiety much worse). By the end they were even trying me on low doses of the big drugs like Seroquel, Risperdal and Geodon. None was very effective and I started developing serious side effects like akathisia from Seroquel. I got considerably sicker while under the care of doctors for this while playing games with medications. Finally a very smart psychiatrist noticed how much better I was doing on the small as-needed script of lorazepam he gave me and started having me take it 3x a day and here I am 20 years later. Honestly not sure I would have survived if this option wasn’t available. More to my surprise is all these decades later no pharmaceutical companies have been able to develop a new novel medication for anxiety that’s as effective, not to mention less habit forming.

Yes but I'm in Arizona. I had to go to 3 different Phycatrists before I found one. The first lied to me and gave me without any issues then wanted me to ween off. Horrible experience. When he was out of the country for a month and I was having a horrific time I got an associate in same clinic and she listened to me. So for a year and a half so far so good.
Thinking about moving back to California and what a chore that will be to find a doctor again
If I had known back 30 years ago I would not have gone on it.

It's one of the anti seizure and anti anxiety drugs and all those side effects I had when on lorazepam but found clonazepam a lifesaver.

I found a nearby Walgreens with Teva but the problem with them is they have a pharmacist who makes one wait 30 days for renewal..it means a little paperwork if you pick up a day or two early in NJ but perfectly legal. With 31 days in July and August a 30 day prescription loses a days worth of meds each 31 day month....so i go a day early but he's stubborn....

Walgreens has Teva and Leading. I prefer Teva.

I used to use Walmart but
they were totally not getting lorazapam at all. Now they get a lot of there drugs from India. Maybe the brand you can get is from India. ??

Not sure how to start a new topic that I can get a quick response on. My pharmacy has stopped ordering Teva in favor of ANI manufacturer of lorazepam. Has anyone heard of it or can attest to it's effectiveness? In researching (came up empty) the google ai said that Teva is considered one of worst lorazepam generics and here I thought it was one of the best...closer to the old Watson than to say, Leading....but I'm to put my latest prescription in tomorrow...my choices are ANI and Leading...ugh! Any advice?

Hmmm (I think I've said on one of the lorazepam questions or more that Teva can be OK or downright dreadful. Frinstance their liquid filled temazepam gelcaps are excellent but I would avoid any med they bought from Auden McKenz such as clonazepam or dexamphetamine like plague. I wouldn't touch their bromazepam either. The best lorazepams are for sure surprising: Hemopharm 2.5mg light blue Generics from Serbia, MP61 pink 2.5mg pink oval (oblongish?) whose maker escapes me and the Indian Pfizer Ativan v small peach tabs, 30 per blister, but which are sadly inderstrength at only 2mg each. Odd strength - why skimp on the common 2.5mg? 3mg white ones from the same country called Lorus-3 & Lorfel-3 are about the same efficacy as the normal 2.5mg Rx strength but very fast acting and CHEAP!!

For flunitrazepam stick with Roche 542s for 1mg but the PCH & EG 2mg generics from Netherlands are as good as 15mg Dormicum or Flormidal midazolam, though maybe TOO long lasting, giving the first couple of hours next morning à little woozy or hazy...

It’s been a rollercoaster the last couple of months: Leading, then Sun Pharma, then Aurobindo (2 months), now back to Leading. All seem to work the same for me after a few days. Teva had always worked best for me.

I find Teva the best. Leading is garbage but Walgreens won't order for me anymore so dealing with Leading and it's a daily issue. Watson was my favorite which I think Teva bought.

I had this drug dispensed to me at an alcohol detox years ago. It did a good job of easing acute alcohol withdrawal. I wasn't given any at discharge or an Rx so I resumed my acute withdrawal symptoms at home. Librium is a better drug for this anyway.

hey Larry if your experiencing that many withdrawal symptoms your cutting to much at one time you should look into micro tapering with water as that is the smoothest way to do it .... or you can find a compounding pharmacy in your area who can do it for you
