Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 18) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.
While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.
My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.
If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

I agree big pharma are playing with the ingredients. Deviation here and there can be felt by the person who requires the medication and knows how it works and when something is different with the pill. Example you are use to taken a pill that requires water to swallow it when you come across a pill that melts in your mouth before you can reach for the water... all bets are off. I report this to the Food &Drug . If enough people do that than maybe something will be done because it is a real concern.
Re: Margaret (# 192)
I used to have the same melting issue with the name brand back when I first started using it back in the early '80's. I found letting it dissolve under my tongue seem to get it working even faster than swallowing it intact. Of all the generics I've taken, the fastest 'melter' was Leading even though it was the thickest.
Re: Charles (# 184)
Works better then all the other stuff available. Leading is the worst!
Re: Henry (# 183)
Bausch Health will some day deal with themselves for raising the price on a medication that "is not" brand name. Just like Mylan with the EpiPen. I know y'all have seen my post about Wyeth selling it to Biovail. They turned it into a generic. Bausch Health bought it and never changed a thing. It's a generic plain and simple. Is it effective? Yes but no where near what it used to be. Aurobindo is for me the best generic available. It doesn't bother me it's made in India.

Re: Richard H (# 189)
Does the new Actavis/Teva work? I am still using the one that says Watson on it. It is hit or miss
I’ve had awful experiences with Leading brand of generic lorazepam…and by that, I mean it has NO effect (it was prescribed for panic disorder). I was so desperate that I asked for name brand Ativan, only to find it cost $4,000.00 for 60 2mg pills!
I switched to Teva and they work the way they’re supposed to.
There’s another problem with all of this and I’d appreciate comments:
If a person gets used to taking 2 (or more) of the substandard Leading brand and then take the same amount of a brand that works, isn’t that the recipe for a lethal disaster?
Re: Ken (# 6)
Yes! Try the generic brand Teva…they work.
Re: Richard H (# 191)
the old activus/teva was made in indiana i believe where the new teva is made in the chezk republic, will be trying it soon but not expectiong much
Re: joe (# 207)
You are correct....the lorazepam by Teva is made in Israel and the United States.
Re: Richard H (# 208)
costco says that the new teva is made in czech republic, dont know the truth but i would prefer my meds made here in america
Re: joe (# 209)
From Teva's website:
Where are Teva generics manufactured?
Many of our products are made in North America and by our parent company in Israel. The FDA inspects each of our facilities (inside and outside of the United States) to ensure our products meet the same FDA standards of good manufacturing practices as brand-name medications.

Pressed submit too soon... If you read documentation -

It indeed is made in czech republic... however it works pretty well.
Re: Henry (# 214)
Henry, Thank You! That was kind. Pharmacy (CVS) said it’s the best they can do, but I wasn’t convinced. I’m waiting for my Doctor to call me back. Thanks for the tips. I’ll let you know how I made out.
Re: Richard H (# 216)
"Belief in what we take". Richard that's called the placebo effect and I'm sure that describes you at this point. JPaw has described all the textbook symptoms of benzodiazepine withdrawal and here you are again talking about filler nonsense. I swear you must be getting kickback$ from Leading to defend their garbage. The complaints against Leading are endless.
You're a placebo guy, taking all these garbage generics you have already completeled the withdrawal from lorazepam. Someone could switch your Leading for sugar pills and you wouldn't notice a difference, guaranteed.
I have been on .5 Lorazepam four times a day for 3 years. I have been taking Leading pharm for the last 18 months. They switched it to Actavis and I swear it didn’t work! They don’t believe me :( I picked up 2 weeks of Teva brand and so scared to try it but I have to take either the Actavis or Teva to prevent withdrawal.. I’m super scared.
Re: Richard H (# 221)
Richard, are you taking the new Actavis (without the Watson branding)? They switched over a few months ago (active ingredients and filler are the same), curious as to how they are working for you. My pharmacy is still selling Aurobindo, after several months of Leading and Actavis before that. Would love to reach out to you if there was a way… think we have a lot in common. Take care.
Re: Leebs (# 222)
As far as I know, there is no 'new' actavis....Teva bought them out in 2021 and then used new molds (Actavis was using the old Watson molds-that's why the actavis still said 'Watson' since they bought watson around 2014.....Teva now owns what used to be 'actavis' lorazepam that used to be 'Watson' only this time Teva changed the molds so they no longer say 'watson'.
Re: joe (# 224)
do we know if its the exact same formula or will they use cheaper inactive ingrediants
Re: joe (# 225)
Perhaps a friend who is a pharmacist could tell you.
