Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 13)

Updated

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

Interesting.....sounds like your pharmacist is both creative and a prognosticator ??

Re: Richard H (# 241) Expand Referenced Message

Not a prognosticator ..... it's CVS LOL how the chain runs. watson was bought by actavis then actavis was bought by teva .... called teva today and according the them.... nothing was changed in the active ingredients & inactive ingredients and the main ativan percentage is still the same amount. Only thing they did change was the molding and stamping on the pills.

Re: gsrmike98 (# 242) Expand Referenced Message

When sandoz bought activus about 8 or so years ago, the new lorazapam was garbage, couldn't sleep, like i had taken an aspirin. Called both companies and was told no change was made, a pure lie, as a couple of years later sandoz shut down the production and later came back with another version. The teva issue is the same, we are led to believe that the changing of the mold is where the problem is, been taking lorazepam 30 years and my body can tell me everything. I want to know about changes and the teva brand is lying when they say its the same formula, sorry but just a flat out lie.

Re: joe (# 244) Expand Referenced Message

Sorry to hear it's not working for you......a few things I've learned since switching from name brand to generics .........companies lie, patients are too aware of their bodies, what works for some, doesn't for others.....for those that a particular generic DOES work for...keep in mind there are others who believe strongly that a new generic is not working for them...they are not fantasizing...it really isn't....but often their belief has some effect on whether the meds work or not. And for those those who have a particular generic DOESN'T work for them....keep in mind it might be working just fine for others so don't blatantly condemn it.....as another's success with it can become questionable unless they understand that different people respond differently. (Just like antibiotics....some work wonders, some have little effect.....you have to keep trying to find what works for your body, not others.

I get the new Teva when I pick up my script this weekend. I still have the watson/activis which is honestly hit or miss. Have high hopes for this new Teva brand.

Re: Honest (# 254) Expand Referenced Message

they are not trying to do away with it....... its a billion dollar drug class but sorry to hear you are having a hard time switching over.... i have only encountered a few that says its not the same from watson/actavis to teva everyone else says they noticed no difference at all...... give it some time your body will adjust

Re: gsrmike98 (# 255) Expand Referenced Message

ok heres what i could find on my own search using the ndc numbers of both meds watson/activis vs teva

waston/actavis

active ingredient .5mg lorazepam

inactive ingredients

lactose monohydrate
magnesium stearate
cellulose microcrystalline
polacrilin potassium

teva

active ingredient .5 lorazepam

inactive ingredients

colloidal silicon dioxide
magnesium stearate
cellulose microcrystalline
sodium lauryl suffate
starch

so this is probably why some are having reactions and others are not i am not sure if the inactive ingredients can mess with the bio availability of the active ingredients

and active ingredient will vary it only says .5 because that is what i take

Re: gsrmike98 (# 256) Expand Referenced Message

Have you tried it yet? The fillers won’t impact the active ingredients, although some may have reactions (I.E- stomach). Anytime I’ve been switched between mgrs I’ve always had a few days of adjusting.

Re: Richard H (# 239) Expand Referenced Message

You seem to be positive and I don't want to have a negative mindset before I take the new Teva. Tomorrow is my last dose of the Watson/ Actavis. Please tell me there is no difference and it is a good brand. Thank you

Re: BeccaDuncan333 (# 259) Expand Referenced Message

Some people here don't like to hear it but I find little difference between the old Watson, the Actavis Watson, Leading and the new Teva. I've been taking 2mg x3 day Ativan/lorazepam for 35 years and am pretty damn familiar with what 'washing out' feels like. I do understand some people find Leading 'the worst'....and you know..when I first got it..I searched the internet simply because I never heard of the manufacturer (and later found it's practically around the corner from me)...that search also led me to this group....EVERYBODY hated it.....said it was ineffective.....guess what....I believed it too......but after a week or so of 'suffering', i remembered what REAL ineffective felt like......like when I got the wrong prescription by mistake...there is utterly no mistaking whether one's Lorazepam is fake.....one couldn't type on this forum let alone even want to if one had been taking a good amount of Lorazepam and suddenly you were taking something ineffective. From what a pharmacist explained to me (forget the docs)..it's the fillers that control how ones body absorbs the meds......but the body adjusts....its the mind that needs to adjust along with the body......thus I've been through Ativan, Watson, Actavis 'watson, Leading and Teva.....and I find no difference because I have stopped LOOKING for one.....if you feel anxious.....get busy-exercise, meditate, but stop focusing on how you are FEELING/body sensations....I promise..focus on living and whatever you are taking will be fine..
