Telma 40mg Causing Dizziness And Low Bp?

My brother(age 40) is diabetic and has high BP. He was taking Telma 80,which makes the BP 100/65. Then doctor change the medicine to Telma 40. Now his BP is 140/90 and doctor prescribed him Telma H 40,which causes dizziness and low BP. What should he do?

The Telma-H contains Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, this latter medication is a diuretic that removes excess fluid from the body.

It is likely that he is experiencing some dehydration from it and that is what is causing the low blood pressure and dizziness.

He may need to slightly increase his fluid intake to compensate for this and keep his blood pressure from dropping too low.
