Taking Suboxone 8mg A Day And Klonopin 1mg - Is It Safe? My Dr Says Ok. (Top voted first)

I have been taking suboxone for closed to three years I started out taking 3 8mg a day and now am taking only one 8mg but in the past monyh I've gone to the hospital three times for what they call severe panic attacks and I can't seem to get rid of them they feel like I'm going into shock I become very lightheaded disoreanted feel like I'm going to die they said at the hospital that all my blood work was fine cats an was fine and my heart was fine other then the fact that I have an irregular heartbeat which is said to be benign so my doctor prescribes me klonopin 1mg and knows I'm on suboxone my? Is it safe to take suboxone and klonopin my dr says it is but I'm still worried because I have a low heartrate its usually 48 to 50 can I get anyone's thoughts

NO BENZOS AREN'T OK AND CAN CAUSE ALOT NEGATIVE ISSUES. My niece was taking 5-7 xanax bars before she got pregnant. When she found out quit cold turkey. Went through hell ,but it was all for her daughter.

With that low of a heart rate, I'd be hesitant about taking Suboxone with Klonopin, because they can both cause depression of the central nervous system and respiratory depression, so it could cause even more lowering of the heart rate.

And while many don't realize, if you really look into it, conditions such as low blood pressure and low heart rate can contribute to or cause a feeling of anxiety and/or depression.

I experienced it myself, when I was taking the wrong combination of blood pressure medications and mine blood pressure was dropping too low. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, until my doctor and I both did some research on it. Once we adjusted my medications, I had great improvement.

And in such situations, I really hate to see another medication added, such as the Paxil, if there is a chance that it's actually just treating the side effects of the other medications, because then you end up creating a kind of vicious cycle that never ends.

How often do you take them both? Is it a daily thing and, if so, how close together?

Thanku for your reply I just went and seen a cardiologist this week he said my heart rate isnt actually that low it only seems that way because i hav an irregular heartbeat due to the skip beat machines dont pick that extra beat up so my heart rate is normal as for the medications ive been taking them and feel great as of late or so far except for a slight headache and sleeping in really late

I take Zubsolv and 2mgs of Klonopin a day. I have had no probs. It really depends on how your body reacts to it. Be very cautious though. Good luck.

Detoxing off of a high dose like that is not recommended by doctors, especially not when pregnant. I know, I had to stay on my Klonopin during pregnancy so the baby wouldn't detox. Its much safer for the babies to detox after birth rather than while developing. Its bad for the mother and child.

I have a semi damaged heart as well, and im fine taking my 2 mg clonopin 3 times a day. You should be fine. Best of luck.

I did for nearly 2 yrs aand it worked ok for me, i haaf to have klonipin to sleep on so I took 2mg klonipins 3 times a day as well as 8 mg of suboxone a day

You know that 5-7 bars is 10-14 mgs a day. That is way too much. I cannot see how she could function at all. I guess she has a super high tolerance. I hope she makes it through. The withdrawals must have been hellish or worse.
