Swallowing Suboxone

I took 4 mg (half of 8) Suboxone last night before going to bed and I swallowed it while I was sleeping by mistake. I typically don't swallow it and I don't take more than what I'm supposed to take. I woke up after a few hours extremely nauseous feeling like I'm going to throw up. I know it's because I swallowed it. I did eat a decent amount before going to bed. How can I get this nauseous feeling to go away? Am I going to have to make myself throw up?

No it should pass quite quickly. I sometimes take mine in the morning and do the same thing, I can tell because when I burp I can taste them again. But no harm will come to you. Subs 1/2 life probably means that you will still have enough in your system, if you get physical withdrawals take a small amount however I usually don't take anymore at all, get on with the day and force it to the back of my mind. I've been an opiate addict for exactly 21 years this year and have been taking suboxone for the last 7 years as a replacement for opiates and methadone and feel 100xs better for it. So good luck with it all and don't let anxiety get the better off you.

Swallowing it is not dangerous, but it could cause it to take longer to become effective in your body, according to NIH reports, and it may cause more side effects than usual. It is also warned that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

Are you on any other medications?

Hi I been taking them for a long time and I have had these problem where I fall asleep with it still dissolving and wake up feeling like throwing up feels awfully. What helps is taking a promethazine for nausea. Their for nausea so don't worry. The help extremely. If you don't have any around talk to your doctor. Tell him they sometimes make you feel really ill to your stomach and He will be able to prescribe you some.
