I wouldn't put something in my body if I didn't know what it was or why it was given to me. That's just asking for problems. You would've had to go to your doctor with some sort of complication that would give him a reason to prescribe you medication in the first place. I took my last pill last night. Its been 12 since. Is it ok to have a drink now? ## I meant it's been 12 hours since my last pill ## Hello, Cece! How are you? If it is in bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, it has an expiration date of one year, from the date you received it, because those bottles expose it to the elements that cause degradation. If it is in the original factory sealed bottle, then it is good for approximately 4 years, from the date you received it. If it is expired, it loses efficacy and could cause you to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria, so you should dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription, if an antibiotic is required. Put on medication four days ago, 2 a day. How long before I can feel like a human again? ## I started with a sinue infection on the 2nd of April. This is usual for this time of year. Used over the counter meds. It became worse. Coughed all day and night. Finally went to a clinic on the 11th. That Dr. just checked my sinusis on the face. Blood pressure very good. I have an antibiodic for tmp and I have a bad tooth which causes the roof of my mouth and gum to swell with infection it is very painfull and I do not have insurance. Sulfamethoxazole Info Click Here ## I am a spinal cord injury (SCI) and my SCI doctor has had me on this drug for 10 yesrs since my accident. It prevents Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), because I self-cath up to 8 times a day. I have not noticed any side effects other than an occasional yeast infection. Every couple months or so, I will stop taking it for a week or two just to give my system a break and so I do not build up a tolerance to it. However, if I stay off too long, I usually end up getting a UTI which then must be treated by a stronger antibiotic. This sulfa drug is considered a maintenance drug and I take it once a day. I have started taking Sulfamethoxazole medication and only on it for 21 days.....it states no prolonged sun or tanning salon.......how long does this medication take to get out of your body.....I am going on vacation and want to do some tanning at the salon but don't what to fry either......any info would be greatly appreciated ## Hello, Deb! I just took my last pill today, about 3 hours ago. I drank one beer a few days ago while taking it and I did experience more dizziness than usual but was fine. Would this work for a cyst on my vagina? I've had a hard rock feeling thing on my vagina lip i want to know if this would help me it hurts so bad.. ## It sounds like you may have a Bartholin's Cyst, which as explained by the NIH, occurs when the gland becomes blocked and fluid builds up in it. Usually, if they are that painful, your doctor will need to drain it for you. Antibiotics don't typically help much, since it isn't an actual infection. Have you consulted your doctor?

Has your doctor instructed you to take both? This combination can cause a prolonged QTc interval of the heart, which may be dangerous for some people. I was prescribed sulfamethoxazole-tmp ds a week ago for urinary infection and ear pain. Was taken by severe headache behind my eyes. I've had constant nagging headache all week that won't go away. I don't know if it's from the antibiotics or the new Belviq I was also put on. Can I take Sudafed with these and excedrin to be able to function today? ## Hello, Laura! How are you? okay... .. . so .... me and my boyfriend had sex three times a few weeks ago. after the first time i got my period. then we did it twice more. every time he wore a condom AND pulled out before he "came". we were super duper careful. i am now on an antibiotic ( sulfamethoxazole) and now havent gotten my period ( it was four weeks since my last one started this past saturday) . i am worried of bein pregnant now... but i dont see how i could be since we were so careful and used a condom AND pulled out way before he "came". my question is..... . can taking an antibiotic for a u.t.i. cause a missed/delayed period???
