I was told it was some sort of subutex. But I still haven't found out exactly what this pill is. It's a small white round pill. One side it has a line through it, almost dividing it in half. One the other side it has a mushroom like, T symbol. Some might even say it looks like a lamp. Please help! ## Hello, Jessie! How do you know it's a sublingual tablet? I've gone through all the available pictures and descriptions of Subutex/Suboxone and their generics, but didn't find anything that matches this description. Where was it found? Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## Pill marked with a C on one side and a 30 marked on oppiste side its supposed to be generic hrdrocodone 30 mgs opiate pain med... My husband and I have been taking subutex for 18 months. We do not have insurance. I have to pay out of pocket for dr., meds, and monthly drug panels. I live in the outside of Nashville tn. My dr. Has increased his price 3x since we started seeing him 18 months ago. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced dr. In the area(less than $300 a visit)? ## Anyway you could refer me to a dr that will write subutex .I have severe pain and don't want to get back on pain meds. Thank you so much.

is this possible or is it all mental? I know someone who is on suboxone but prefers the subutex (white ones). He says that when he stops using them even suboxone doesn't help and that he feels sick. Is it in his head? ## The main narcotic in both of them is the same, it's Buprenorphine. The only difference is that Suboxone also contains Naloxone. Learn more Suboxone details here. So, it really doesn't make sense, but there's no way to be sure how any given medication is going to affect any given person that takes it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## no, must be in your head, unless you cant hand...

I would like to know cause I take methadone and I've got subutex that a friend gave me but I thought it might hurt me ## I know for certain never to take suboxone..I take 90 mg of methadone and done a quarter of suboxone and litrally died they brung me back but I still have side effects from that nite ## @loco, I have to concur with becca on the fact that it's probably not safe to use either of these drugs within at least a few days of each other. One counteracts the other so much that it could potentially put your body into a life-threatening state of withdrawal (if taken at the wrong time). I have seen testimonies from other people who accidentally attempted this and later paid the price. Apparently when your receptors are filled with methadone, buprenorphine may take the meth...

Ok I just recently started going to a doctor and got on subutex. I took some benzos over the weekend just to calm my nerves. Today is Wednesday, my appointment is Friday afternoon, I need to know if the benzos will be out of my system by then? Please help ASAP!! ## Hi Brittany - what benzo specifically? Diazepam? Depending on your dose there is still a good chance that they would be in your system within 2 days after taking it. Could take a couple of weeks if I'm not mistaken. Wish I had seen your message sooner. How'd it go with you?

Okay I need to find an OTC pill that resembles a suboxine/subutex BC I told my mom I had a half left and I gotta show her. She isn't gonna look it up or inspect it good just something that will pass at a glance. I can break it in half. Please help ## @Kennedy, Because each individual pill carries a specific imprint, there's no easy way to find something that resembles one another that closely; even at a glance. You either know it's suboxone/subutex or you don't based on the imprint and what you're used to receiving from the pharmacy. Why don't you just be up front and honest with your mom? She's not going to report an honest son to his doctor is she? Sounds to me like she just wants to help her son keep things on track so you don't continue taking more th...

Been taking Hydrocodone now for about 10 years for back injuries. They don't work very well for me anymore and was wondering if taking Subutex would be something to consider if they can help with the pain. I never have enough Norco's to last the entire month. ## Hello, Nick! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Have you ever tried Oxycodone or Dilaudid? One of them would most likely be the next step, rather than jumping from Norco to Subutex. They are other options to discuss with your doctor. Subutex doesn't work well for everyone for pain. According to treat he FDA,these are narcotic analgesics, and have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I have been on 8 mg of subutex for about 4 months for chronic pain that I had for 6 months. The pain was from overdoing bicycle and motorcycling for many years. I am pain free right now. In a few months I want to quit and see if the pain comes back. The doc said to increase the dose to 16 mg a day right now. He says it will make it easier to quit when the time comes. This makes no sense to me. What is he thinking???? ## Hello, Daniel! How are you? I must admit that I am also confused by that. Going by the information as provided by the FDA and the NIH, it's typically harder to stop a medication from a higher dosage. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

I currently am a subutex dr. at south hills recovery project and desprately need to change. This place is very unprofessional and i have severe medical issues that need addressed. Dr.will not even listen. Please help. ## Hello, Steve! How are you? If you're there to be treated for addiction with the Subutex, then that is what this doctor is supposed to be concerned with, for other medical issues, you'll need to see a different doctor, or see this one on an appointment scheduled just for that if he does such, rather than during your Subutex visits. Is anyone aware of other doctors that they can recommend in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...

So my friend gave me two circle white pills with 54 411 on one side and nothing on the other. I have searched the pill and realized that it is a 8MG Subutex. I was told it can be Injected.. Is this true? ## Careful cause ull never wana do them any other way after that so i advise dont start. 2 yrs later i still cant stop ## Boy I wish it had made me feel that way! Was there some special way you had to work it up? I battle with my addiction everyday and maybe I'm just expecting that same feeling you get from ron. At least I'm doing this than that. ## It is not recommended. ## I have seen people do it. it Is a hassle though. I heard that if you try to cook it it will turn into a paste. Can my insurance abruptly only pay for 8 mg of my medicine when the doc has prescribed me 16 mg which is two 8 mg a day since I started the pregnancy I'm 22 days away from my due date my doctor told me its dangerous to taper this far along and I've been responding so well to treatment.I have to pay 175 every two weeks out of pocket for the visits and insurance has been taking care of the meds... ? ## Hello, Mommyof3! How are you? There is actually nothing that decrees that your insurance has to cover it, at all. However, since you are pregnant, you might be able to get an exception, so you should speak to your doctor about it, there is paperwork they can submit to make the request. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effec...

I take 8 mg of Subutex a day and have been for almost year. If I'm I a car accident or something and have to have surgery will I be screwed? Will there be nothing they can do for the pain? I don't care about getting high at all anymore, but I fear being in pain and not having any option to control it. Does anybody know how a doctor would help me? Thank you! ## No, Subutex only contains the narcotic Buprenorphine, not the Naloxone that Suboxone also contains, thus it doesn't neutralize other narcotics, so they would be able to treat you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do they make 4mg subutex or the generic form with no markings? Its white with no markings. ## Hi debby, According to the FDA, there are no legitimate prescription drugs (made here in the US) that do NOT contain markings/imprints of any kind. So if it's "supposed to be" a subutex, I personally wouldn't trust whomever told you it was, provided that they live in the US. And even if they got it from another country, there's no honest way to verify the contents of a tablet like this one without getting it analyzed by a lab first. So I'd say it's best to not take this pill until further notice, at least to be on the safe side. I hope this helps!

I have subutex in my system. Today is Saturday and I have to take a drug test Monday. will it show up on a pre employment drug test ## My reply is too late, but in my experience, subs do not pop positive on any paneled urine test. If under prescription, and doctor' scare, it should be covered by HIPPA LAWS protecting your privacy. Good luck!

I have been off the opiates for just over a year and lately due to stress I find myself wanting to deal with my issues by self medicating and used subutex to get clean. Suboxen gives me headaches so I need a dr in the oak ridge area who will prescribe subutex before I go down that addiction path again. I have so much going in my favor and don't want to lose all that I've worked to achieve. Please tell me where and who can help. ## Hi im going for a vacation for 3 months to thailand, right now im on subutex treatment and need prescription on subutex to take with me, i contacted some docter in thailand and they only got methadone , so could you help me with prescription for 3 months, my doctor will not write any recept for some reason i dont know ! my vacation will be broken if no...

I'm on 100 mg of methodone and im thinking of switching to subut ex ! What is the side affects I have heard so many diff. Stuff so could u plz help me ## Hello, Dawn! How are you? Subutex also contains a narcotic opiate, so it's side effects are similar to those of the Methadone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If your dosage is properly calculated, then you shouldn't experience any withdrawal effects or cravings, you doctor should know how much of the Subutex will be needed to prevent any issues. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm on 100 mg of methodone and im thinking of switching to subut ex ! What is the side affects I have heard so many diff. Stuff so could u plz help me ## Hello, Dawn! How are you? Subutex carries the risk of causing the same side effects as Methadone and other opiate narcotics. The active ingredient in it is Buprenorphine, so it can also be habit forming and cause dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, depression and constipation. The difference is that is isn't known to cause the withdrawals that are as severe as those of Methadone, nor to cause cravings. So, unlike Methadone treatment, where people usually end up on a lifetime maintenance dose of it, those who take Subutex or Suboxone usually end up eventually becoming entirely drug free. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I have been on suboxone for around 2 months in the beginning it made me very sick for a week and now all of a sudden I am getting flushed on my neck and chest my skin itches and feels like it's on fire and my cheeks and hands swell it subsides slightly by the next morning but comes back in full effect after I take it again, my Dr says it's probably not a reaction to suboxone but I can't see it being anything else. I'm allergic to sulfa as well. Can anyone help ## Yes, Suboxone can make you very sick. Doctors don't know what they are taking about half the time. I was started on Suboxone and was on it for.several months. I was always nauseated and I could not digest any solid food. I lived on jarred baby food and nutrition drinks for nine months. All the time I kept as...
