No registration is required and your identity remains anonymous. My partner was recently given an injection and three day prescription of Buprenorphine/Subutex for severe pain during an ER visit. She is a veteran and suffers from chronic pain and has been years in pain and has managed to suffer without pain medication. After she received the injection and prescription, she realized how comfortable and nice life can be without having to experience severe chronic pain constantly. The Subutex did relieve her pain a great deal. We did talk to the ER doctor whom prescribed the medication and he did not know of a local doctor that would continue her prescription if Subutex for pain management purposes. I too take Subutex but mine is for addiction although I do also experience chronic pain but my partner doesn't fall into the category of being an addict...
I just filled a 3 day supply of my Subutex & when I got home I realized it was a new pill I've never seen before. I did some research & they're from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries. They're white, round & say 460. I'm being told by a friend that the Roxane brand (54's) will no longer be available. Does anybody know anything about this? I'm not a fan of change! LoL. ## Yes, Sun Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine, which is a generic for Subutex. Unfortunately, I do not have any information on the ones manufactured by Roxane. Have you started taking it, yet? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mout...
My wife was recently approved for Medicaid and we immediately thought it was a gift from God. Not so. She has been on Subutex for some time and the cost of the doctor and meds have been a nightmare. Now we cannot find a Subutex doctor in our Gainesville FL area who accepts Medicaid. I know there have to be some. Some help please!
UpdatedThere are doctors listed where I live in Wichita, KS, but all of them are at their limit or no longer prescribe Subutex, I'm at my wits end and so sick! I abruptly stopped methadone maintenance because my insurance wouldn't pay for it and I ran out of money to pay. ## Hey mono, did you get what you needed yet? I found a wonderful DR who so sweet. Her son is in prison for opiates and since I can't afford suboxone she wrote for 60 8mg Subutex pills. Took a 60.00 cash payment and now I have my meds. I'm nervous to start them though lol msg back ## Hi. I read your post and I know it's old but I need some help...BAD! Been on methadone over ten years. Only on 30mg a day now. I having trouble finding and need a doctor terribly. I'm tired of being sick. Can you help me o...
Hello. I just had my first appointment with my doctor and am excited to begin this process. However I have run into a problem getting my medication filled. There are no doctors in my area taking patients (WV) and so I have to go to PA. What I am hearing is pharmacies in PA will not fill for me because I'm a WV resident. WV pharmacies will not fill for me because my doctor is in PA. I know a lot of people in this area seek treatment in PA, so how are you all getting your prescriptions filled? Many of the pharmacies are literally rude when I explain my situation. Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance! ## Ask your dr in PA if he can recommend a pharmacy in PA that will fill your rx. If you know others who go to PA and get rx and don't have a problem getting them filled, ask...
I'm a 50 yr old grandma with end stage renal failure! With that being said I also have chronic pain, slipped disc, a bulging disc, neuropathy, severe nerve damage in my neck and down my shoulder, severe hip pain in not just one but both hips now. I have been on pain meds for about 15 yrs....And always feel like I'm being judged every time I walk in the doctor's office! I figured I would change docs and started with a new clinic. The first few months was ok I guess...Then whammmy, he said I'm discharging you at this time because you came back with a positive drug panel for "6 mam" which I have learned is heroin! I have not ever seen nor do I have a desire to see it or do it!!! But now I am without a doc and my meds have run out. I stretched what I had for as long ...
I went to my dr for over 8 years, got 5-15s daily due to knees and back pain. Since I moved to another county my dr gave me four 20s daily. For nearly 3 years the dr said he prescribed too much medicine and outta the blue he referred me to pain management. Dr zubb said all he could do is wean me off, so i went from four 20mg to three 10 mg in 4 months to nothing!!! I never failed a U/A or anything to be treated like a criminal or a drug addict!! The dr would not see me after the 1st visit and i was forced to see the p.a which would not help me at all!! Barbara pollutti the p.a has no compassion, nor does dr zubb in brunswick county n.c!!! I had to turn to illicit drugs which i never did before!!! It's all about $$$ so subutex and suboxone stock holders must of took $$$ outta pain me...
UpdatedMan I loved the 54/411 ones. I've been on m924 for a few months, and I can tell a huge difference, they litterly take me at least an hour to dissolve. And when I feel like its "dissolved" I just have a bunch of white residue which I have to dissolve as well, because that's the pill. Has anyone else had these kind of experiences? ## I have been given a choice at my treatment center of using the m924 pills or the m4 pills. Which brand is more effective in helping with arthritic pain? Can someone please give advice?
My friens split what she says is a subutex with me one side has the 54 on it the other has a line do they have 8 mg subutexs with a line scored on one side that arent completely flat ## Hi sammijo, I haven't seen any Subutex that are scored as you mentioned them to be (at least from looking online). However one that did catch my eye is a round white generic Buprenorphine tablet with the number "54" sitting over another set of numbers "411" on one side and blank on the other. I wonder if it is possible that your friend could've gotten the half which contained these other numbers? And do you feel she is someone you can honestly trust when it comes to something like this? I imagine it's possible that the pill could be from some manufacturer overseas, but because...
I am a chronic pain patient who took narcotics for several years. 2 years ago I was started on non-narcs. or narcs with antagonists. I am interested in subutex as several other pain pts (out of my area) have said it really helps. Who in or around Annapolis, MD has received subutex (not suboxen) for pain? Who was the prescribing doctor? ## I need help finding subutex in Baltimore md. I relapsed and every time I take suboxen I get very sick.. If anyone can help me u will save my life ## I have chronic pain and have been on subutex for almost a year and have been doing great, but my doctor is retiring and I need to find a doctor in central kentucky who will prescribe my subutex, I have a sensitivityto naloxone, which is in suboxone, plus suboxone does not help with chronic pain as well, I ...
I was taking 4 hydrocodone a day and went down to 2 a day. Sunday morning I took a very small piece of a subutex. Again, this morning I don't feel well on it. I have a headache and dizziness. Can I safely stop it? I am addicted to hydrocodone. However, I never felt this bad on hydrocodone as I do on subutex. Can I go back to the hydrocodone tomorrow evening? ## You cannot take Subutex that soon after taking other opiates, or it can throw you into precipitated withdrawals, which might be what you are experiencing. You must be in full withdrawal from all other opiates, before you take Suboxone or Subutex, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dr...
My husband has been on subtext for almost 8 years when he first started going to the clinic we thought that he was going to be weaned off the opiates but every trip to the doctors he was giving a prescription for more subtext which we are being charge a three hundred dollar visit every month and that doesn't include the price to have the prescription filled which we can't afford so my question is can he safely get off of this medicine? ## Yes, but it will require a slow taper to prevent withdrawal issues, since it does contain an opiate. The FDA warns that suddenly stopping it could cause rebound effects, such as nausea, pain, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, fever, chills, and diarrhea. His doctor should be able to help him set up a proper tapering schedule. Has he...
Is this pill supposed to be swallowed or put under the tongue? I had gotten a couple from the hospital and the nurses couldn't even tell me what I was supposed to do with them. Please help me figure out what to do. ## This is listed as being a sublingual tablet that is meant to be dissolved under the tongue, though there is no harm if it is swallowed, it will just take a bit longer to work, if you do so. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I've been taking 2mg sub a day for the past year. I've had a few bumps in the road over the past year and my sub Dr has been very patient. I'm going to run out before my next refill. I'm scared and I'm sorry if this against the board rules. ## This is why they have contracts. You should tell the doctor if your pain is still not being managed. Taking more than what is prescribed is not good, and is why the rest of us end up paying. "Sorry"? Your doctor is NOT going to give you any extra, because his license to practice, is on the line. They have heard every story..."they fell out of my purse", "I dropped some in the sink". No sympathy at all. It's up to you to report, that you are still in pain. Deciding to medicate yourself more, without g...

Actually, a round, white tablet with 607 on it is listed as being a 250mg Disulfiram pill, which is actually used to treat alcoholism by making someone extremely sensitive to alcohol. Learn more Disulfiram details here. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and a funny taste in the mouth, but things get much worse if someone ingests alcohol. Is there anything else I can help with? ## what happens if a person takes 5 of these pills at one time?

But I go to the doctor on the 23rd of this month and don't need to have that in my system. I have to only have loratab. Can anyone please help me, like asap? ## Treat the doctor like a collegue. Tell him/her that 60 5mg hydros truly doesnt fullfill your pain management needs. If you have chronic not sporatic pain you should be on a long acting opiod such as Oxycontin or M.S. Contin...
I stopped taking pain pills and started taking white round subutex pills. I was on them for like a year and a half then went cold turkey because of personal matters and family issues. I never felt so bad. Then after like a year I couldn't take being sober so I went to a treatment center 90 day program. I went there twice and both times didn't finish the program, and the second time they kicked me out because walmart didn't have suboxone for 4 days. Wow, crazy. I got screwed. Bye. So I went 3 days sick as a wet dog in december. Now I'm going to try to go to a sub clinic where you pay because when I'm completely sober now I feel so tired, weak, not motivated, low energy and no passion in anything. Kinda like a walking dead person. Its crazy what drugs or a drug can do ...

I am currently pregnant and on subutex and wondering if my child will be taken when I deliver? They are prescribed to me by my doctor. Please help if u know anything about this situation. ## As long as it is being legally prescribed, there shouldn't be a problem. Subutex is the chosen formulation to be used by pregnant women. The FDA does warn that your baby may go through some withdrawal effects, once born, since this medication can be habit forming. You also need to make sure that your OBGyn knows you are taking it. Can anyone chime in with more details on taking it during pregnancy? ## I have had three babys while on subutex program. They WILL NOT take your baby. I would advise you to be honest with the doc let him or her know I are currently taking subutex. But if u are not in a...
I have currently been on subutex for a little over 3 years at first it was mainly due to the price difference between the subutex And subixone then I ended up pregnant and gave birth in July and in between that time the laws changed and my Dr isn't allowed to prescribe subutex unless your pregnant but I had gotten a extra 6months due to breast feeding and at my last appointment he said he had no choice? My first issue is I'm still breast feeding so what does this mean for my daughter? Secondly I have been perfectly fine on subutex no slips at all! Now I have been taking the subixone for about 6 days and I feel like I'm dying? Is this normal? Will it pass? ## I'm very sorry that you're feeling so miserable. That can happen, especially since the Naloxone in the Suboxon...
