Subutex Doctor - East Coast - Help Me Find One Please!!!! (Page 2) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have been on Subutex for a year. My Doctor has retired, abruptly. I cannot find another physician willing to prescribe me Subutex (24 mg. daily) instead of Suboxone. I travel a lot w/ work. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me ANY Doctor anywhere on the East Coast that prescribes Subutex. Suboxone breaks me out in horrible itchy rashes and welts, makes breathing a little difficult and gives me blinding headaches- within ten to fifteen minutes of taking it. I am serious about recovery. Can someone help?!
i really need an online doctor! my mom died on christmas day 2010.. before that i was already abusing opiates and h hard everyday! and i finally tried a subutex and one of thoughs helps me more then a bundle or about 20 hydro 10s. i really think it probably saved my life.. i have ptsd and bi polar and agoraphobia and anxiety and panic disorder and ocd.. alot of s*** but in order for me to feel like im living i have to be on subutex .. nothing else helps unless i take deathly ammounts of drugs!!! someone please msg me.. no doctors around me perscribe bup.subs and my therapist thinks i should be perscribed it cause it helps me with cravings and just plane mentle health coping.... i need a doc who will help me out possible online or over skype or somehting thank you very much and my name is Drew.. thanks a bunch god bless!
I think its his discretion whether he takes you off of them. At 7 mos, the fetus is pretty much developed so his defense could be that. ( I was on them all 4 of my pregnancies) what he'll probably do is decrease your dose rapidly because your close to delivery anyway...either way good luck....you might be better off trying to get off of them before you have the baby anyway. The nurses are horrible when they hear you were on subutex while pregnant...
I live in wv and have tried for 3 months to get into a dr. I prefer subutex but would be happy just to get into any dr right now that would prescribe suboxin or subutex
Hello I am from Tennessee and just got off methadone, which is very difficult. I tried suboxin, and the cost is main issue! I can't find a doctor that will prescribe Subutex! I get intense migraines from suboxin and bad anxiety, which I already suffer from panic attacks., but I also cannot afford Suboxin! I have no insurance and a single mother. I ask my dr. to please switch me due the cost he yelled at me and told me I should just go back to Methadone! I'm pleading if anyone knows a dr. that will prescribe Subutex please let me know. I want my life back but I can't afford this medicane and all my bills and also take care of my son. Please Help Me!!!

If you are in the Norther VA area, I recommend ACE Care on South Washington Street in Falls Church VA.
They take most insurance and will work with you regarding suboxone or subutex.
They are by far the most affordable and compliant doctors I have found.
Dr. Feurer is one of the best.
Hope this helps somebody!
please help me get the number to this dr i am goin threw alot with children services and they want me too get into a clinic
There is a clinic in Bridgeville, PA you should be able to find them online..if you can not find it message me back I'll give you the docs name .... Hope this helps if they r not taking new patients which is the case for most docs that prescribe these kind of meds, then they will offer u a shot once a month not sure the name of it but says it works very well best of luck!!!!
As a subutex patient, my son went thru withdrawl-minor- on 16mg. SO rather than have the 24mg, have them cut u down( i went from 24mg to 16 mg in my 2nd and 3rd trimester, and was fine) and BAM he didn't need morphine...so, maybe that would be best. Get in WHEREVER AND cross tht bridge when you get there> somethings better than nothing for your baby

hi jimi, this is Danni...just so u know I am in a very scary spot where subutex is the route I need to take if I have any hope of keeping my recovery. I started suboxone 9/30/10 and have been sober ever since (I quit alcohol 2/23/06, it was easier to quit drinking than to quit pills). I had only ever had suboxone tablets from 9/30/10 up until the end of March and then the plug was pulled and I've been in hell ever since. I tried the generic suboxone and they totally suck, they were orange but that was about as far as the similarities went! I've worked for a pharma company the last 8 years and can tell u first hand the generics are not identical to the name brands - they can fall in on low end of scale for matching active ingredient which falls into 80 percentile area and whatever the other 20% is, is enough to make it a different drug not to mention the fillers which can be different. I don't know how others in my situation feel, meaning you had the real suboxone for 2.5 years and now I am forced to take the strips, which while they are brand name and better than nothing, I am for the first time ever running out of my med before my next 4 week appointment. My doctor is aware of this, I had to tell him!! I got him to up me from 1.5 strips to 2 strips a day which has NOT fixed the problem. I need like 4 strips in order to feel 'normal' like I did before; it's so hard to settle for this and its very upsetting to me. im laid off but employer still carrying my medical but that ends as of 9/30 (how ironic, my sobriety anniversary) - I don't think I would have any problem transitioning over to subutex. I live in northern Delaware and I am about 10 minutes from DE memorial bridge. not sure what people mean half the time when they say south jersey! south south jersey right over bridge or south jersey further north. I lived in Maple Shade and Cinnaminson. Please let me know if you can help me out or point me in the right direction. I am {edited for privacy}
Thank u!
Hi. A little late (today is Oct 6, 2013) but, have you been able to locate a doctor to continue with your Subutex (Buprenorphine 8mg tablet) treatment yet? If you still need help please, let me know. I can assist you with possibly getting an immediate appointment in New Jersey Shore area (Neptune, NJ- which is close to Asbury Park, NJ, Point Pleasant, NJ etc.). Thanks. Grace
Hi. Sorry, just saw your response to get in touch with you. I am not sure allowed to post my email or not but, I will if I am allowed. We can see you tomorrow if, you are still interested in starting, subutex, we can help asap(tomorrow, Wed, 10/30/13 - appts available and, affordable, private office where you don't have to come in everyday). Subutex can be prescribed but, is always at the Doctor's discretion. Many patients do not have insurance and, we understand about the huge price difference. Subutex (actually, only a generic now so it's, Buprenorphine makes it possible for people, without insurance, to actually get help and, continue with the medication). Our office is in Neptune, NJ -- Exit 102B off GSP (close to Eatontown, Asbury Park) If interested just respond and, we can discuss and, set appt. that is convenient for you, if tomorrow is not. This message goes out to anyone that needs an appt. Thanks a lot.
Grace

Try Addiction Pain Management in Washington Twp., NJ 856-589-1440. They have been helping me for 6 years. I am prescribed Subutex. They do not take insurance though and your first visit is more expensive than your monthly visits. Best of luck to you!
