Subutex 460 Vs 54 411 (Page 7)

Updated

Does the Buprenorphine 8mg 460 work as well as 54 411's? I'm curious as I've seen other imprints, just not 460. Please let me know if they are better or worse.

They are terrible! Run! Do not get them filled. I urge you to do your own research but from what I've found, although they ARE approved by our FDA they are made in and shipped from Sun Pharmaceuticals in like India or something and they are making everybody sick. There's no ingredient list so we don't know what it's cut with and to me..there seems to be different amounts of bupe in them or something...some days I take my meds and I only withdrawal..sometimes I get violently ill..it's not my dose, etc...it's these freaking shifty pills. I trashed them and called my doc who rewrote my script for the remainder of the months worth and I went and paid cash at a little mom and pop local pharmacy for the good small round ones with the 8 and the arrow...it's taken me 2 weeks but I feel ok again now. Buyer beware on the 460s. I called cvs where I had them filled and the pharmacy told me everybody was complaining but they were under contract bc they were so much cheaper than the other makes so they were stuck with them. Said that unless we all complained to FDA and got them off the approved list that we all were f****ed. So.....

A year + later CVS still fills the Sun Pharma 460s. so it looks like all the calls made no difference.

Re: David (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

Wow. Thank u so much for this info. Ive been wondering what inactive ingredients were in these 460s as, personally, they are making me very ill. It's strange how the almost exact ingredients in the 54 411s are life changing in a good way, yet, in a different order and slight difference in amount or what have ya and it just completely wipes me out the first day I swapped to them. Wow. I really appreciate the info. Thanks again.

Re: KristenGfromGa (# 121) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Kristen, you are correct about there must be different amounts of bup. In all the 7 generics. The actavis has 8mg,.. the hi tech has 8.64 equivalent to 8mgs. The hikma is 8.64, the sun has 8mg, the teva has 8.64 and Mylan is 8.624...the new Rhodes manufactured by Purdue has 8.64 equivalent to 8mgs.. So you see they all have different amounts of bup...equivalent to 8mgs... BTW, the NDC # for the new Rhodes is 42858-502-03 ... They are absolutely great..t he best generic out there compared to the original brand name of Subutex which I started on. And I also love hikma 54 411's. It's a toss up between them both for me... I will get only these 2 when I get my scripts.. you can check btodrems.com, it will bring you to the page of all the generics and anything else you might be looking for such as ingredients, etc...

Re: Mary Lou (# 114) Expand Referenced Message

Go to btodrems.com. you will find all 7 generics listed, and yes, they all have different amounts of bup in them. The actavis and sin only have 8mg, the Maryland has 8.624. And the others have 8.64 all equivalent to 8mg.. The new Rhodes manufactured by Purdue is out of this world. It compares with the brand name of subutex way back when I started in 2007... They are a must try.

My CVS in California north isn't as abrupt and have tried 3 times and I still got Sun garbage. Going back to Walgreens and pay more for orange Actavis Brand I hear are pretty good. CVS doesn't much care either way.

Yea my cvs in St marys, ga told me that she'd tried to order westwards but they keep sending sun 460s instead..then explained the cost difference and the contractual obligation they were under to keep supplying the 460s. I guess it's nationwide...I kno it's the same in like a 60 mile radius around my home. I called them all ...I was pissed and had a free day to complain. Lol. The ones that would give me any info seemed unapologetic and kinda like I was drug seeking or something..so I took the time to explain to each how even if I was taking it for addiction that would be a positive personal choice and should be respected but that I was taking it bc it was a substitute for pain meds. It's not only prescribed for drug addiction..it's also used for treatment of pain...TO PREVENT DRUG ADDICTION! ! Not saying it's not addictive in itself..but there's still no right to look down on anybody for trying to improve their time on this Earth. Rant over...anyway, yea cvs sux dikk. You're just a number. They don't give a shirt if u feel better or not...herd em on thru...get the cash. I use medicine cabinet now. They're smaller. They care. They order what my doc writes and the kind I want...what works for me. Good luck guys. Keep on trying. Let's all complain to the fda. Anybody know how to start a petition? Lol...let's get this crap out of our stores and out of our bodies if it makes us sick! But I have seen some ppl who say it works for them...so...I dunno...placbo effect maybe? Lol...jk. u guys have good day :)

Re: KristenGfromGa (# 126) Expand Referenced Message

I just spent 20 minutes with CVS customer service. I'm a pretty patient and tolerant person. And found myself frustrated with them. So she says to me," what would you like me to do?", So I told her I'm trying to prevent others from the same like experience. I eventually said you lost my cash and you will lose others doing this to people and said thank you and hung up. I have good friends at Walgreens and they have the Actavis orange footballs 153 on them. Never heard anything bad about those. A few more $ but beats going through this battle again.

Has anyone tried Walmart? I live in Atlanta Georgia and I the Walmart I know of that's all they stock. They go by the NDC # and the 54/411 Hyman? Is all they have. Guess I just got lucky. They don't take the RX coupons anymore. And Target bought CVS so... anyway. Good luck. This entire opioid crisis is BS. So many folks getting on h cause they can't get a damn lortab.

Re: Roxanne 56 (# 132) Expand Referenced Message

Exactly! In Canada where you can walk in a pharmacy and buy what u need otc...there isn't an opioid crisis or as many ODs from h. By taking away what helps ppl, they make us turn to other substances to try and get relief. Not all of us are addicts seeking a buzz. Some of us were thrown out of cars or burned in house fires...I've been both....we hurt. We need help. But we are not going to get it.

I'm on it. I'm calling cvs to complain. This is the link to find your state's complaint coordinator for the FDA as well:

The hikma buprenorphine 54 411s are way better. No comparison. If you want something better than the 54 411 try the new Rhodes manufactured version generic bup.. they are out of this world. Definitely compared to the original brand name subutex when I first started in 2005...they came out in October 2017, chances are the big Pharmacy's will not carry it so go to a mom n pop pharmacy and ask them to order them. All the generics of bup can be found on BTODREMS. Everything one would want to know can be found on that page..also, not all the generics have the same amount of buprenorphine in them; only 2 only have 8mg. Most of the rest have 8.64 equivalent to 8mgs..actavis orange half moon and sun only have 8mg. I believe Mylan has just a tad more 8.624 equivalent to 8mgs, so give Rhodes a try. You will not be disappointed..follow the money and get the best, Rhodes.

Re: Lyn29 (# 137) Expand Referenced Message

Are you talking about the 460s burning? I never tried that one in my 12 years of buprenorphine treatment. Can you tell me around what state you're in and what type of pharmacy has them? Someone on another site like this says it's the only one that she can take without it interfering with her health issues..I'd like to help her if I can. I noticed that the chain Pharmacy's in my area like Walgreens I have several around here and everyone seems to have the same brand. I finally got a mom n pop pharmacy to order the new Rhodes buprenorphine 8mg..and they are very smooth no w/d at all changing brands. My favorite is hikma but it's a hard choice to make now that they have 2 bumps so compared humm which one hikma or new Rhodes?

Sun pharma 460 is horrible horrible horrible. I take the Westward 54 411 and out of the 6 different genetuc subutex I have taken. These are the best for me. Those 460 caused me depresdion, nausea, shakiness, burning under my tongue, outbursts and they do not last very long. They for me weee a nightmare!
