Subutex 460 Vs 54 411 (Page 6)

Updated

Does the Buprenorphine 8mg 460 work as well as 54 411's? I'm curious as I've seen other imprints, just not 460. Please let me know if they are better or worse.

Re: kdmrXohio (# 49) Expand Referenced Message

It's crazy to see a post from someone and know EXACTLY what they are talking about. I used to get my sub script from that pharm for 2 years, then when they opened up their own clinic, the owner/pharmacist said he couldn't fill mine because he had to take care of "his" patients first. I thought, I have been a customer for TWO YEARS but that didn't matter because he wanted that money from the clinic. I felt bad for the patients who lost their doctors but I certainly felt a bit of satisfaction that he eventually paid for his greedy ways. Prior to getting cut off from there, they had mixed up my ibuprofen with my neurontin pills (they looked exactly the same) unknowingly, for 5 days I took 4 800 mg. tabs of ibuprofen (thinking they were the neurontin) and ended up in the hospital with severe stomach issues. I brought my meds with me and the ER caught the mix up. I called and told the pharmacy, the owner responded with "that must've happened with the recount, we are so busy sometimes". I should've sued!

Regarding the 32 people getting arrested last year...I wanted to reach through the TV and strangle the guy that was saying all of those demeaning comments about subs, and the people on them. It's people like him, ignorant to addiction, that add to the stigma of maintenance drug therapy. Those people were heroin addicts, NOT suboxone patients and he didn't clarify that. Even if they were using, he had no right to say they were worthless, not contributing to society. He forgot that WV was one of the states with the biggest oxy addictions in the country. Anyway, I just wanted to reach out because I knew we are from the same area. Good ole upper Ohio valley where you see more pharmacies than restaurants but you have to drive 2 hours to get subutex filled! Gotta love it!

OMG, I just got the new 460 imprinted BUPRENORPHINE, manufacturer is Sun Pharmacuticals and I'm having severe irritation to my tongue and the last is enough to make you gag. Can this manufacturer be cut off from making this medicine? What other pharmacy can I use to get my regular BUPRENORPHINE by MYLAN.

Re: Dani (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

absolutely! I have been on Buprenorphine for more than 10 years and picked up this Sun Pharma 8mg tabs Rx 2 days ago. At first it seemed like my mouth was burning, now my mouth is all inflamed and very sore.

See, the taste to me is like a chemical burnt taste. Some say mint, ugh..it was like battery acid! I got an ulcer and had to dissolve on top of tongue the rest of the month.

Buprenorphine is the blocker in both Subutex and Suboxone. Buprenorphine is the BLOCKER. Naloxone is a "grabber" like Narcan when administered intravenously...it will cause precipitated withdrawal. The naloxone is ineffective taken orally. It is only in suboxone to prevent iv drug use. There is so much misinformation! But that is the case!

Re: Dani (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

God yes. The first day I was like alright these work great, then 4 days in I realized they seem to not last as long...Im prescribed 2 and a half a day. I could make my meds stretch out real far if needed and be ok on 1 a day when taking the 54 ones....I need to take 2 a day with the s***ty ones that burn my tongue. In oklahoma it's very very hard to get meds you need as they are coming out with so many new rules and laws to stop people from dr shopping & pharmacy hopping. You have to do everything to the "T". If you get screwed out of the blessing to even get these in oklahoma you're finished forever for help with an excellent pain reliever. I never want to go back to taking tabs. I'm so glad I pulled myself off and found these. So if they don't last that long, burn my tongue and taste like s*** in order for me not to be an addict and have a better way of life I'm grateful period just to be given to me monthly.

Yes I had the chemist at Westward email me the formula for the old Roxane and theirs. Of course it's identical. Whats left?? There is no other sub I'd waste my money on. They are better than the rest. Good luck.

Re: Roxanne 56 (# 109) Expand Referenced Message

So I've been in PM for 17yrs and decided to turn my life around for the LOVE of my life n her kids. I've taken subs on n off between the yrs. to make it till my next fill date. Anyways in my 17yrs. I have never came across the 460 white subutex pills!! I hate suboxone film, gives me a headache. Zubsolv sucked too (way too minty) albeit the 54 411 subs are awesome. I hate the ones with the 8 and arrow but when I went to fill at Publix yesterday I only got 15 of my 60. And they were the 460's. I'm not a fan of them so far, they taste like aspirin. I just can't believe I've NEVER SEEN these in my almost 20yrs. of addiction. So I guess I'm asking if anyone knows where to get the 54 411 cause those I know work, tried n true. I have Blue/Cross n in the mist of getting prior-authorization. I payed 2 dollars for 15 of them but that's for a 90 day period (makes no sense), so I hope my prior-authorization gets pushed thru in the next week when I go to fill the rest. I'm gonna use an RX savings card. think it's 133.00 for 60 so that's 2.20 a pill, not bad!!

Really to each their own. Everyone will react differently to different tabs as they are made of the same general chemical complex. The fillers will cause a different reaction to each individual.

Both my husband & I got these 460 the last 2 months. We got clean together 3 years ago, & both of us are super careful not to bring things up to one another for fear of it playing into the others subconscious. So for weeks we both kind of suffered. the 460s truthfully do not have the shelf life the other bups have. Usually like 24 hours before we really need to take more. But the 460s seem to only last about 4-6 ( at the most) & taste horrible, & kinda do burn under my tongue.

Re: TampaByWayOfDetroit (# 112) Expand Referenced Message

Sorry, but I do. I was responding to someone saying subutext didn't 'have the blocker'. Bupe is a mild, long acting opiate that stays on your receptors "blocking" other opiates. It is the main ingredient in both Subutext and Suboxone. So, what part do I not have a clue?

Guys I hate to be “that guy” but it’s all in your guys heads... I used to be the same way, as I’ve been on bupe for about 10 years and I used to panic when I couldn’t find my favorite brand subutex or suboxone... I found that the panic and the constant thoughts about it not working as well is what causes the non fav brand to not work as well... the human brain is a powerful thing!!! If you tell yourself something isn’t going to work as well then it’s not goIng to! I really find the less I stress about it the better the 460s work for me... I’m not sure about the tongue burning and ulcers tho as I only take 2mg internasoly per day.. however if you really don’t like these pills, tell your doctor the problem you’re having and have him switch you over to Suboxone... either the Strips or the Tablets... I guarantee it’ll solve your problems completely!!! Good luck!!!

Re: kdmrXohio (# 52) Expand Referenced Message

I'm in. I asked if they would order a different brand for me. Walmart and cvs refused. I'm stuck with a bottle of 460s that ARE NOT WORKING and making me very I'll instead. I cannot do this. I have two kids to care for, babies.....they need their mom. Subutex gave me my life bk. I will not let it be taken away again.

Re: Rawdog (# 111) Expand Referenced Message

I'm in southwest Florida and we have a grocery store/pharmacy called winn Dixie. They have the 54 411 there... The company was roxanne/westward. but now its called hikma. If your not sure who has them you can call the company and they will tell you what pharmacies have them..there is also a site called btodrems where you can find all the 7 manufactured companies along with the dose and active ingredient. I just found out that Mylan is 8.624, actavis is 8mg, hi tech 8.64, hikma 8.64, Rhodes 8.64, sun 8mg and teva is 8.64 all say equivalent to 8mgs. I don't know what that's all about but does that mean some are stronger?

No!! They burn and leave me and muly hubby in horrible withdrawals. Wait til u read more, apparently they are from Sun pharmaceuticals from india...they are complete garbage. My pharmacist told me all I could do is complain to the fda. And I am. Amongst many others.... run back to 54 411s!

Ho everyone you should try the new Rhodes. If you can't get them go to a mom n pop pharmacy ask them to order them. You will be surprised at the difference from all the generics out there. They compare to the original subutex name brand. I'm q huge fan the the hikma 54 411. Also. But if I have to choose from now on its most definitely the new Rhodes sibs. Thx
