I want to start off saying after a major surgery in 2004 in disney world i almost died was put on vicodin for the 1st time i expierienced opiates and i felt like superman . I played several sports at a very competetive level and this was new to me but i loved that my pain was gone! Not to drag on 1 pill every 6 hours turned to 2 every 3 hours til i had a 600.00 a week habit taking 5 vics to wake up and almost 20 per day then to whatever opiate i could get. Is cost me my house, job, family and my soul! I lost who i had worked so hard to become! This went on for 6 years til suboxone well that was nice but after 5 years on that and yes taking too much and running short i had to get it from anywhere i could til i was due spending extra money and time to find it afraid of withdrawls. Well i am now 9 days clean i tapered over 28 days to .25 mg and withdrawls have been minimal compared to jumping from 2mg or higher. Tapering is a challenge as well but if you do it right you will get bye. Several things help symptoms. Dihrehaea take immodium ad, cramps and aches an nsid or try toradol from the doctor and most important is to stay busy and move dont sit around. Fatigue is the worst thing i have felt but if you really want it fight through. Take a multi vitamin b-6and b-12 and for the teary eyes and sneezing benedryl will help but can make you drowsy take at night to sleep will help with restless legs or try melatonane its natural. Look when you feel like you cant do it just think about this ok? How many kids out there have terminal illnesses that many cant be cured and are very painful yet in there hospital beds you see them they smile and laugh abd tell you its ok im fine!!!!!! If they could only go through this knowing in a short while it be over and they will live a normal healthy life i have no doubt they would trade places. If you really want it get it! Good luck to all!!!!!!

Hey Zak333, I can help you if you didn't stay off. I have tons of info on home remedies and natural things you can use to help with the anxiety if you didn't get off so you can try again and successfully stay off. I just went thru the hell and I'm on 33 days. Let me know if you need any information. Naltrexone 25mg a day really helped me, I started it on day 15. I can tell you how to get through it, just let me know, the sooner you get off it the better. Right now I am taking----multi-vitamin once a day, iron once a day, Vitamin B3 once a day, was taking clonidine 0.1mg twice a day but now off that. Lyrica 100 mg three times a day, tylenol three times a day, citalopram 20 mg once a day, l-lysine 500 mg once a day, l-argentine 2 caps three times a day, l-glutamine 2 tabs three times a day, aleve 500 mg once a day, and l-carnintine once a day. Seems like a lot of vitamins but it has been working for me. :-) One day at a time!
